  • While the 116.PD was a newly formed division with plenty of problems and missing units (even if interesting in modelling terms with several old AFVs), the 1.SS PD LSSAH was one the most powerful units in the Mortain offensive, still with a big quantity of PzIVs and Panthers.
Note: when mentioning the Recce battalion of the 1.SS PD I say that it "was not present at the battle of Normandy" when I wanted to say it was not present at the battle of Mortain.

Another great video, lovely collection. Yes I agree, the ww2 TV is brilliant.

Great talk though. I always liked the look of the 116th Greyhound symbol and used to have a model of a Jgdpz IV with it on it.

The greyhound is surely an attraction for modelers.

Beautiful painted and heavy camouflaged panthers. I am doing some dak 15mm flames of war. Can you recommend a good read about tanks used camouflage?

Thanks Smoothbrush. A good guide for late ww2 German tanks are the old Squadron Signal books or the more recent Normandie 44, Militaria Hors- Serie, or Battailles (French magazines). But frankly you can find plenty of good information on the net.

I wonder if the caesar miniatures tank riders fits on that sdkfz 251 from deagostini

They fit everywhere as they are made with a flexible plastic and they are good in whatever seat. Besides they must have been tested in plenty of different brands

@@zanniromero9109 Sure you can. You just need to be careful by placing some of the poses as the last of the line as sometimes the weapons are cumbersome.

Don McHugh Frankly I was expecting RF to make a supplement on this one sooner or later as it has plenty of encounters - hill 314, St Barthelemy, Le Mesnil-Adelée, etc - that suit very well RF style of actions (and Don McHugh's style of actions). If nothing comes, ill try some scenarios, but still need to make some specific buildings and terrain.
