Great video, we are looking forward to a lot of mountain crossings this summer. Planning a trip from the east in the Alps to the south-west part of France. Thanks for the great videos.
One of my ski spots when stationed at Aviano in the mid '70s - they seemed to get skiable snow before anyone else. Memories. I've ridden it a couple of times since (2006 & 13) when over there on a bike. I'm not sure that I like the auto leveling feature of the GoPro - I like seeing the lean through the corners. Good sound, though. I've been running a lavalier mic from my GoPro to a protected spot on the bike - in the tankbag with a bit more foam does a fairly good job of containing wind noise while letting engine sounds come through.
Very nice drive, that region of Italy is not very well known, being somehow in the shadow of The Dolomites or the West Alps, but it is still very beautiful and has less traffic. Thanks for the video, greetings from a fellow roadtripper and creator from Germany!
Thanks! Audio recording on motorcycle came with lots of trial and error. I still haven't found a 100% foolproof method, but what works most of the time is to put a Zoom H1n with a windscreen muff in my backpack. In the outer layer of the backpack I stuffed an extra layer of foam. And I do a little bit of post processing to reduce noise.
Just my type of ride. Hopefully transiting from Slovenia into Northern Italy next summer so might take a look - also the Mangart if I'm feeling brave 😉. Ps Hate the tunnels too!
Viewed this at 0.5 speed while listening to. (th-cam.com/video/K5cGcSbyBgY/w-d-xo.html), was like having an out of body experience. Italy's Trickie tunnels, I agree.

Rode there this summer. Absolutely beautiful. Thanks for the awesome video.
Right at 29:21 there's a road off to the right that climbs up a hill through narrow tunnels to a small hovel of buildings.
