As a South African, I really enjoyed the conversation and how both gentleman voiced their views, which is the truth. Africa needs quality leaders that can provide African solutions. I agree with the closing statements that it is now time that Africa stop blaming its past and colonizers, we should not look for reparation from the foreign countries. Solutions to our problems rests on an African child. It all starts with good leadership that creates a conducive environment.

Those are the pioneers who convoluted education systems in Africa. Do you know that US and UK does not recognize African degree qualifications? Why, because the Mzungu already had an idea how to choreograph stooges starting with Tom Mboya Airlifts to date after 'independence'. They allowed art and political scientist as leaders but very few doctors and engineers and what have you in the technical areas, But at the end of it all, the African has never asked himself enough WHY question.

I really like the conversation but I would also want to understand when Jirongo saw the light? Anyone who is old enough to remember Kanu days will recall the dealings of Cyrus Jirongo, Sam Nyamweya, one William arap Ruto etc as Kanu's Y92 wing that almost brought Kenya's economy to its knees in the effort to rig Moi in. Money was printed in hundreds of millions to splash in the city estates and the countryside to buy support for Moi and the denomination that most common was the 200/- note such that it was nicknamed Jirongo, a name the note carried up until when the old money was phased out 3 years ago.
Is Jirongo then qualified to talk about clean leadership or how does he plan to sanitize himself?

Very true that politics isn't an easy thing and by the way like president Mwai Kibaki also did economics and he was once a lecturer in economics as well before he became president and even Mukhisa Kituyi is also a political economist and he was also a politician but very patriotic but even invite him for this talk and he is one of the most brilliant minds

True professor coz A dollar in rich Arab nation is not abig deal so Kenyans leaders must focus on enriching its citizens first then them to follow but Kenyans leaders are manipulated badly with passionate of materialistic gains.

Interesting characters given the topics under discussion. Jirongo embodies the monetisation of Kenyan politics. He and the likes of Wlliam Ruto went round the country bribing people to save Moi's career in 1992. In the process they became millionaires and ruined the economy with the goldenberg money they went around with.
PLO should also stop singing thw platitudes of Mauritius which is nothing more than a money laundering hub.
The shocker for me was Jirongo's reveal on the toxic waste scandal.

Something should be said about the scandal involving a politician in these video borrowing money using government land as collateral eventually leading to the collapse of postbank and Kenyans losing their hard earned money. How can we have all this platitudes on integrity if there are just but empty words
