    Hi Brian,
Thanks a lot for this nice summary on returns.
Where is quadrant 4? Also, we usually speak of a quadrant when a plane or circle is divided into 2x2. Here I would speak of zones.
Other than the terminology, this is a great piece of advice, basically showing that when returning you should go for the same kind of placement as with the serve, i.e. either really deep or short (double bounce) and avoid easy returns that peak at the opponent's power pocket.

Thanks for your question. Quadrant 4 refers to off the sideline of the Forehand and the Backhand. If you look at the Tactics for the Counterloop, you will see Quadrant 4 in more detail.

Thanks for the video. Tactic 2 and 3 seem conflicting. or does it depend on where your opponent is either push short or long? i am a bit confused.

tactic 4: push early. Giving less time for the server to prepare an attack makes a sensible difference in the outcome. Interestingly the ball can be pushed while it's rising off the rebound.

Emmanuel Dufour Pushing quick is more of a technique and not a tactic. At the high level how fast your push won't matter. This video is about teaching the tactics of the serve return. Pushing faster is a natural progression that players will evolve into on their own.

Emmanuel Dufour And its also risky, coz the ball has the most spin at this moment and its the biggest chance of unforced return error or set the attack for oponent.
Sorry if language is poor, im not a native speaker :)
