Do you have a challenging layout to build? Share it with me and I'll try and build it in the Block Editor!

Good info, as always, Mr Richmond. I love WordPress now. I am finally getting to grips with it thanks to you and a few others.

Good choice of a page layout, i like these 'copy jobs' just to learn structure.
Its interesting to see you analysing and working on this one 👍. Rather to take this " columns in columns " thing, i opted for groups of two stacks - this works similar (not same)...

Yeah, that’s a great point. As the Block Editor matures, it’s making things very flexible to do in different ways. I’ve used columns because you can then set them to stack on mobile. I could probably have done it with the Grid block, but I’m not overly familiar with it just yet. Thanks for tuning in, and your feedback is much appreciated 🙏

Wondering about removing the global block gap to make the first hero cover block flush to the notification bar - won't that adversely impact other blocks like columns/text? I usually choose the "remove top/bottom spacing" setting under advanced for the specific group block I want to affect...

For me it’s subjective, you should do what’s best for you or the project in question 👍

Do you have videos that cover how to make a design like this responsive?

Checkout my follow up video, it's not a perfect solution but it is one approach on how to resolve issues on smaller devices without having to edit theme or plugin files... 👇👇
