What do you use to animate all this? I'm thinking of getting into 2d animation currently I'm learning 3d but I love the classic animation as done in Lackadaisy. Also what kind of equipment would you need?
Manu... I'm a 2D artist for over 7 years now, I don't have a graduation or anything, but I've been studying art and I actually am beginning to develop my own webcomics (doing original characters reference sheets, brainstorming ideas, writing scripts, etc.), and I hope it can also become an animation someday if I get enough help. Your video just made my day and is giving me strength to follow my dreams, it just gives me back childhood memories when I first watched the Secret of Nihm on the TV screen with my grandmother. I truly hope to make this a reality. Thanks for sharing. ♥
To me, the pilot was on-par to golden age Disney. the animation reminds me of stuff like the jungle book or fox and the hound even Bambi. This is really wonderful.
I actually got a real Cats Don't Dance vibe from it personally. The way the animation of the characters flowed and how they incorporated lighting so heavily into the scenes. Either way it really is Studio level of quality and I hope for the best for the series.
The Jungle Book and The Fox and the Hound are considered Dark Age Disney and not Golden Age. Only Bambi is but I think it’s better to compare it to Pinocchio or Dumbo as both have drinking scenes and since both have furries that are anthropomorphic instead of feral.
To me its the cinematic views and the music throughout. It was more on par to Treasure planet for my thoughts. also... ik it was pilot probably why they kept in the Outlines work in the Pilot... but i sort of loved it a lot, in my mind i kept on thinking Why does this fit so well for a prohibition show? It just seemed to have clicked Either way beautiful work.

The Pilot was BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!! The storytelling, the shots, backgrounds and animation were all so incredibly amazing!! I'm glad you made this video, as this was informative AND very educational for a person wanting to get into animation as a career. Thanks so much to you and the Lackadaisy team!
I agree that we need more cartoons that are shifting towards the young adult audience. There’s been too many cartoons that either are too silly or too childish. Mulan was a great example of environmental and character progressive storytelling. And this gave me a very similar vibe of crackly pretty lights with mature undertones. The perfect balance.
That depends on how you define mature. Some define a mature show that teaches kids about death (in age appropriate way). Some may define it has having blood and cussing in it. I go by the former.
@@luvblueybingoheeler3150 mature, as in the atmosphere. You can have mature pieces, but have no coinciding atmosphere. I find that the atmosphere perfectly syncs up with the scenario of The characters, giving the scene a lot more impact and clarity.
@@romanhorizon the tone and atmosphere are exactly where it feels childish to me. The giddyness of all the characters, the way they grunt and deliver their lines in melodramatic ways, the rhyming monologues and cheesey characterization. It's a kids show. A tween show at best...
The fact they managed to animate such complex characters! Usually animated characters have easy to recreate shapes because your going to have to draw them 1000s of times but these characters are so stylized I thought it would be impossible to keep them on model! And yet not only does freckle look exactly like he did in the comics wedge shaped cheek fluff and all but all the characters are so fluid and expressive!
with the help of The original creator for the show/comic Ms Tracey Probably gave the animators the Models for them... either way 170 People worked on the show... meaning not 1 or 2 people had to draw the same thing... but a good hundred people did so wonderfully and i cant wait to see more!
as an aspiring animator/illustrator, my dream is to work on something like this, something special and meaningful and fun! I didn't know anything about Lackadaisy when I saw it pop up in my recommended a few hours ago but it inspires me so much and it makes me really happy to know that the talanted people behind it had fun working on it too, since the animation industry is notoriously unhealthy for animators sometimes.
I've always wanted to work on stuff like this... But alas, I haven't had much chance to animate... But I am in music, and maybe one day, I'll be playing or composing for something like this. Glad there's a world full of creative people out there!
aw gosh omg this was such a lovely watch ToT I was an animator on it too and it was such a lovely experience. I feel like I missed out on a bunch due to my time zone, but despite that I could still feel how supportive everyone was!
aaa Finchwing so cool to find you here! Your warrior cat animations were such an inspiration to me as a kid and now I'm going to pursue animation in college
Chloe! So happy to see you here, thank you for all your hard work! Your animations are incredibly inspiring to me! As I'm sure you noticed, the drawing Freckle is staring at in the thumbnail is from one of your shots!
I respectfully disagree simply because I've done cleanup before and my OCD is screaming at me, where it looks unfinished. But that is just my two cents.
That use of such a simple phrase as "you got the job" to combat imposter syndrome is actually quite brilliant and sounds like it created a Core Memory in regards to working on projects like this. Much kudos to Fable for being able to lead and inspire so seemingly easy.
I actually found this AFTER seeing the pilot, so it kinda feels like watching a behind the scenes special you get as an extra on a DVD. The messages in the video are inspiring, even with the studio system being (really) behind the times, and seeing projects like Luckadaisy come into being is amazing and a sight to behold. I also didn't know this was based on a comic o_o Gonna have to go check that out! If anything, this has inspired me to go back and complete a small series I was working on, but kinda left for a bit. I hope to see more from the Luckadaisy team in future ^_^
When I spotted hunicast in this I was like !!!!!! and then when I saw the far-fetched shout out at the end I was like !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! haha thank you so much dude and also you are an incredible animator dude, never forget that. This was a fantastic look over the pilot's production. Absolutely agree with everything you bring up.
Ayyy! Thank you so very much for your kind words Ashley! Wishing you and your team all the best! Can't wait to see more on Far-Fetched! Everything I've seen so far is looking fantastic!!
12:22 fucking SHIVERS! It reminds me of something similar that happened at my job, where one of my team members was having trouble coding the features assigned to him but I know he has the skill to keep delivering, I knew from the very first interview he had potential, and being supportive towards our teams is the best we can do, it feels nice to see it also happens in animation
I didn't know about the original source material, I just saw the trailer and was intrigued to see what I thought was just going to be a short film. Within the first few mins I was blown away by the passion that was jumping out of the screen and the pleasant surprise of seeing you and some more of my favorite animators in the credits. It's sad to see projects like this being too risky for studios to fund in the modern day, but the success story of this pilot from the dedication of the crew to the crazy support from the fans has me hopeful. This story was really inspiring. Well done to everyone involved - the end result was beautiful! Hope to see it as a full series some day.
this show is fucking inspiring. its a beacon for anyone that wants to seriously pursue their art career. With all the doom and gloom in the industry currently taking hold I think its important to realize that if we want our art to leave an impact and keep making these projects we need to look out for each other and create a community that matters. Big corporations or a mayority of the public might dismiss our contributions as artists as meager or unimportant but as long as there are people that have a vision and care about telling stories you will have a place to belong. I know we tend to be lofty dreamers that shut themselves off in their room to sketch away at stuff alone for days - but if there ever was a time to actually look for other people to share your projects with and work together... its now. cheers folk!
I even though I don't hate any big production companies or Studios but yeah I've been feeling like the animation industry has been like that as of late ever since I feel like the merger ( I don't want to speak about it that was a very long time ago we kind of forgot about it) and although we want to say earlier Infinity train ( no hay to anyone but I was annoyed by the hashtag that you want to renew the show) hopefully in a few years or time it will be more happier and maybe bring back some old projects that died off or something hey maybe the big production companies would listen to us ( although I've been on the least likely part but it's better than just killing them off sometimes I don't really like it I don't really like killing off company sometimes it doesn't really feel right)
omg man it just premiered and you're posting this video right away!! i watched it without knowing much about it. I was just subscribed and waited, but it was amazing and i fell in love with it. thank you for everyone who've been involved!!!!
oh man you can totally tell a bunch of the artists involved in this pilot were fans of the webcomic, the passion is just BURSTING out of it!! thank you so much for helping to make such a gorgeous animation, i hope we get to see more lackadaisy in the future!
I'm currently around 17 years old and have landed my first job in an indie animation company. As a child, I always dreamed of making Disney films and thought to myself, 'Wow, I want to do this!' Recently, I received my first paycheck, and it was amazing. Working with the company has been an incredible experience! However, I've been struggling with imposter syndrome lately, so seeing this video has helped me get onto my feet again. Watching more indie animations has made me want to start my own animation company in the future. Cant wait to see more animations on TH-cam!
This was so amazing Manu! I got to clean up 2 of your scs and they were an absolute honor. You’re an all around talented and lovely person. I hope to work with you again in the future!
the lackadaisy pilot was one of the best show pilots I have ever seen if not THE BEST. I'm so happy this series exists and I'm so proud of every single person who worked their buts off to produce something so beautiful
Just got finished watching the pilot and it was totally worth it. So glad to see the positive production behind the pilot as a viewer who watched a few livestreams in the past.
We need more animated media that is not just for kids. Like what dreamworks does or Hazbin Hotel or this. Animation is so good, an amazing medium that is utilized to create some of my favorite movies and entertainment. Animation is so underloved
I'd never heard of this before, but we're recreating a scene from Lackadaisy in my animation class. To prepare i just watched the pilot and my word, it was AMAZING. The animation was so perfect, it really inspired me 😍
The amount of fursona’s in the team picture made me smile, what a wonderful fandom. I absolutely loved the pilot and started reading trough the backlog of comics recently, I adore the project. Really wel made you all did an amazing job.
The best thing about the pilot was the animation. I didn't feel a connection to the story, but I definitely think that it deserves recognition and popularity it's definitely going to get. Have a good one, you deserve it for the hard work!
@@barabara9855 you can make an effective story in a short time. I think they made a decent short. I just wasn't the one captivated by it. Like I'm not captivated by this particular theme.
I'm so amazed, your work was so amazing to see. You are such an amazing animator and you've become one of my inspirations for animation. Your video has brought me to tears. It's so beautiful to hear about how it was to work with everyone, what all went into the pilot, and overall just how much true love and passion came from everyone. I love the indi animation industry and how much opportunity people like Tracy and Fable open up for so many small animators/artists. It really gives me the hope and motivation to push through and go towards animation as a career. Thank you for making this video and I can not wait to see what else you have planned for the future. ❤
Oh man, I have never shed tears of joy watching a video like this. I am very happy that you worked in the film! Your words filled me with joy, thanks for sharing your knowledge with us, little artists with the same dream.
Lehi!! Thank you so much for your kind words! Makes me really happy to hear you enjoyed it! Gran fan de tu arte, me alegra mucho verte por acá! Vamos con todo!!
This this this!!! This is exactly what I loved about my graphic design college class; the open environment, being allowed (and encouraged!!) to wander and peek over your classmates' shoulders, ask them what they're working on, see their process, show off your own, it was one of the best learning experiences I ever had. And it made me SO disappointed to realize real graphic design jobs are nothing like that. My first attempt, I never got to see the stage before or after my input- I was completely isolated from the end goal and so I always felt like I was doing something wrong, unsure if my work was any good because I was only able to view it in a vacuum. I've always heard of film studios being the same way, where the actors don't get to mingle with sound design, the costume designers don't get to work with lighting, etc. It creates this weird disconnect where the project director is left to fit all the pieces together when each piece isn't quite sure what shape it's meant to be... but wow, no wonder the pilot looked so ridiculously good, everyone was able to see where everyone else's work was at, and adapt their own accordingly! I'm rambling but- stunning work dude, thank you for making this video and your hard work on the pilot!
I've been reading the comic ever since 2006 and never thought I'd see this day it's being animated but here we are and it feels ever so sweet after almost two decades!
The person cracking up at your added joke near 11:00 is great. It's so nice to not only have a little creative license but get immediate reactions to your work.
The way you described your low point, and the phrase "You got the job" almost moved me to tears. I'm currently doing a small college group animation, and several of my team members have had moments like this. We've all been there to support each other because we know how much affirmation means in those moments. This pilot was phenomenal! You all did a terrific job bringing these characters to life and giving them a majestic world to live in!
Thank you for sharing this with us!! I struggle with staying motivated when it comes to making my short film, and things like this are very inspiring. Thank you man. You got the job, and you did it! Your part mattered worlds! And everyone coming together like this is so heartwarming! ❤
Listening to this video gave me such a warm feeling in my belly. Over the past 2 years, I've been part of a project called 'The Animation Coven' that aimed to do an animated fan episode for 'The Owl House'. Initially, I started as a voice actor, but eventually moved up to being the Producer of the entire project. We realized around half way through the project that we needed to scale down our scope to only make a 20 minute animatic because our team was only around 20-30 people and we had a budget of 0€. Multiple times it looked like the project was going nowhere as lives of our production team got busy and the crew kept getting smaller and smaller but in the end, we pulled through. Having gone through all of that experience has given me even more respect for everyone involved in big creative projects like animation. The doubts, the all-nighters, the successes, the difficulties and the fun. Hearing your description of the Lackadaisy team, it seems like an absolute dream to work on and I'm just sooooo happy that such work environments exist and that such a great product can be lucrative. Multiple times during your descriptions, I've made comparisons to how our production went on Discord and got flashbacks to a lot of memories formed there. Cheers to you and all of the Lackadaisy team. You did phenomenal work!
This reminds me why I love everything about animation. Through all the types and styles. I love the process, and the satisfaction of watching the finished product.
after just finding Lackadaisy by chance when the pilot popped up in my recommended, it is so wonderful to learn about the history and process behind this wonderful animation. I can't wait to read the webcomic next!
As someone who has had this beautiful idea for a story in my mind for several years now, I hope that in the future, when I can work on those type of things, that I am able to do it like this! I honestly wish there was more animation and story like this, I admire it so much (even though I am only 14).
You all did such great work and it was awesome to hear about your experience with it. It's great to hear how much this project meant to everyone and, it really shows.
I'm super interested in the people that aren't given a lot of attention in fandom. I know fandom doesn't care about the ins and outs of how somethings made but I wanted to say that as an animation fan I wanted to tell you I really am grateful in the work that goes into making an animation Pilot/ possible series whether it be storyboards, animators, Visual development ect. As someone who wants to get into animation this is very inspiring.
The fact you were all privy to every part of this magical production, AND got to listen in on voice acting recordings... and the fact that everyone HONOURED that NDA... is MAGICAL because the final production was so good I could cry!!!!!! ... also... totally would have loved to have sat in on Benni's performance... for... no reason in particular... 💝
As someone who is taking baby steps into animation and trying to improve on their artwork this is truly inspiring! The short film is so beautiful and I hope to make something just as amazing one day. I speak for a lot of artists who watched the pilot, a huge thank you to all the inspiration ,creativity and hope you brought! Absolutely a gorgeous film!
This was such a good watch after the initial rush of excitement of watching the pilot. Both the pilot and this video put a new spark of life into my dream of becoming an indie animator. Much love, it is all too apparent through the way you speak your earnest passion for your art and for animation as a whole.
Im an 3D animation student right now and after watching this video it makes me even more exited for my future as an animator! Even if its not 2D like these projects. I cant wait to see this project become a full show!
My INTRO to Lackadaisy was a TH-cam recommendation of the pilot. I have watched it every day since it came out and I keep thinking about it; it’s so attractive and compelling and unique among so many other things
Very cool behind the scenes vid! I'm not an artist, but I have such appreciation for this art form. You guys really made something that is undeniably special to anyone who watches it!
i love the sense of community/comraderie that comes off here, crossing my fingers i'll get to be part of a project like this someday and work with a lot of talented people!!
I was so blown away by the quality of the pilot! After following Lackadaisy for many years, it makes me so happy to see this pilot reaching above and beyond the original crowd, so thank you for helping make this amazing piece of animation!
When I was a kid I’d see so many animation projects rise and fall. Now that I’m an adult it’s strange yet fulfilling to see the rare few projects come full circle. I hope I can participate some day!
Dude, I just can't even! This video is just filled with so much love for what you helped create and your hope for future projects and future animators to achieve! Amazing video and it was a pleasure to hear your story!
It’s projects like this that get me more motivation for the project I’m doing right now. It’s a short series with only a few others working on it, but we’re having fun and so far I think it looks good. But it’s projects like this that remind me that you don’t need to be picked up by a tv program to make something really cool!!
All of this sounds so sweet! But also hearing that work process that sounds dang near ideal! Like you can always get feedback from others anywhere in the production line to help make your work as good as it can be, you can get so much inspiration from one another, all the way from the leads to the individual animator, and seemingly allows both for better communications, as well as more opportunities for experimentation, and just good work vibes all around! There's likely no way this could work in a mainstream big studio pipeline sadly, but this whole cooperative work flow where every member can contribute and help both the project and eachother just sounds amazing to work in, and helped make the project unleash its full potential!
God, this sounds like something SO MUCH fun to work on. This is the kind of stuff that modivates me to improve as an artist, because I know that someday I'll be able to work on something like this. Thank you for sharing your expirences, and I can't wait to see more Lackadaisy.
Just listening to this journey Is SO COOL, theres always something about learning the behind the scenes, that make you appreciate the animation so much more! Everyone did ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC
A very nice and inspiring story! I have so many things I wanna do in my life. Maybe it's time to start doing them. Lackadaisy is already a masterpiece of pilot. I'm so excited what the show will bring.
honestly im surprised how this took form, it's so magical to see how you got the job and as someone who always wanted to be a voice actor for animations like these but has literally no idea where to start also i always miss any announcements for stuff, i guess its right time right place in a way
Congratulations on your hard work. The pilot is amazing and currently sits at 666,000+ likes. I am honestly impressed by how wonderful it turned out. Hats off to you and the crew, y'all did good.
A guy in France (OhPonyBoy) tried to make a show, after getting refused by tv channels he crowd-founded not the show but a studio that is currently making the show and is currently the only animation compagny in Bourgogne Franche-Comté
I work with a much smaller team on much smaller projects but Discord is VITAL for our team communication. I know exactly how it feels! This video is so sweet and I'm so happy for you. I'm glad so many people who were already into Lackadaisy got in on the pilot.
The fact the workplace was INSANELY friendly is such a good thing; a insanely friendly and welcome workplace plus gaming and stuff? godamn they made a better environment then Disney and other companies ever will
The pilot was indeed AMAZING. And we are waiting for the second series from now on. Too bad I found this video only by now, but I loved it. I really makes you motivated to do something. I don't really know what, but, this flame will probably die in 2-3 hours. Cuz I will start overthinking everything and then remember that I can't draw. Still, very good video man, I loved it.
This turned out so very well, I'm so glad you all stuck it through and pulled it off. I adore that all 70~ peeps that worked on this for the effort you all put into this. Thank you all for this.
Beginner level 3D modeler here, hoping to eventually figure out environment design and then 3d animation in order to achieve my artistic goals of some kind of animated series. Becoming part of a team, one of many working on a project, does seem like the way to kick off your career as a legitimate artist. For now the future is uncertain, and I can only try to steadily work towards the skills to make some moderately popular online animations, one day at a time. Also as a side note in the process of going to watch the pilot I figured out and resolved the reoccurring fear and apprehension that had been constant whenever I considered watching an animation, so the team gets maybe a little credit for that.
When i was younger, I always wanted to be an animator, but I thought I can't do it, and when the lackadaisy pilot was released, my inspiration came back, I always enjoyed indie animations, and someday I wish I could make amazing animations like Lackadaisy and Helluva boss :D
I got into indy comics after reading Lackadaisy, it's just- it's just been around being SO FLIPPING BEAUTIFUL for so long, and I got so excited to see it animated, and I'm so proud of all of you!!!!!
I tried animating on procreate… never doing that again. I am so grateful to the patient artists who dedicate so much time to animation… I’d love to be a character designer or storyboard artist for some hand drawn animated show or movie though. At 12:15 the emotions hit me hard. I can relate to the feelings you were experiencing and being supported by Fable and the rest of the team was just such a nice thing to hear about. This is really wholesome.
as an animation student that's currently going through some very rough times, this video was really, really helpful. these last few months I've been feeling down, thinking that maybe I'm not good enough, or that I'm not made for working in the animation industry. But watching the Lackadaisy pilot was very inspiring, and it's the fist animation in months that has made me feel motivated, the same motivation I always had when wishing of participating in an animated project like this. I really don't want to give up, I want to improve and overcome the harder times and learn from them, and I also want to see that kind of 'competition' between animators as a positive, rather than a negative. Thank you so much for making this video, and thanks to everyone who worked on Lackadaisy for inspiring thousands of people around the world.
I started my animation journey about 2 years ago and people like you are what encourages me to keep climbing that mountain (well I guess my love for art is an encouragement too lol)
As a patron I've gotten the opportunity to watch some of the streams with the crew and the chemistry was honestly so great. It seemed like everyone was helping foster each other's creativity even if it meant getting out of their comfort zone.
It's incredibly good. That makes me desire to burn the sh*t I've been writing for months... And which wouldn't come to light with my nonexistent drawing talent and experience.
Thank you for your contribution to this project! I've been following Lackadaisy since its early days on DeviantART, and I used to engage with Tracy personally here and there. It's really amazing to see how far she's come, and it's absolutely mind blowing to see the dream of an artist I used to engage with become a reality like this.
I just want to say. THANK YOU. I've been a fan of the Webcomic from the start. And seeing it in an animation fills me with so many emotions. Thank you.
This video is such an inspiration to me. For so long I've dreamed of working towards an art career but always doubting myself because I lacked the skill. But nothing will come from doing nothing, and you never know how far you can go unless you try. I aspire to reach what all of you amazing animators have been able to do, and someday be part of a truly outstanding production like this one. The pilot was absolutely jaw-dropping, and I can't wait to see more from all of you!
I find the idea that "you wont make it without big names" extremally relatable. As a writer, I have found it really really hard to find work, help, and those willing to give my work a chance. I'm just not big enough and don't have any influence. It makes things really hard, especially without help. I hope one day I get given a chance to shine, get a good job, and to meet such amazing people and co workers. This project shows that maybe I will get that chance, I just have to meet the right people.
The art was absolutely gorgeous, I had to watch twice so I could pay more attention to the story. The whole pilot was just incredible. Congratulations to you and the whole team for an amazing production!
The animation was brilliant and really gave the pilot its own personality. After loving the comic for so long, the pilot was such a cool thing to see as it finally breathed proper life into the characters that we all love!
Gdi dude, the part where Fable reminded you that you got the job made me cry. I'm so proud of you- and the entire team. The pilot is AMAZING. I'm so hopeful for so much more. You all deserve so much success and happiness.
Holy heck man, did you HAVE to make me cry??? Seriously though, the pilot is amazing, I loved every second of it. Fantastic animation. Everything about it was absolutely magical to look at.
The Lackadaisy team are BRILLIANT and animate with a fervor I havent seen in a long while on this side of the internet❤ You guys have a serious talent for animation and emotion capturing!
This video, particularly the end, brought me to tears; having always been wanting to be an animator myself but never feeling confident enough to truly start, hearing about your experience, both highs and lows, made such a difference in my mindset! The Lackadaisy pilot was absolutely STUNNING and I someday want to work on a project like that 🧡
OK A. What this entire team pulled off is inCREDIBLE. Even with the miles of positive feedback this show has received, you guys deserve entire UNIVERSES more. It’s a beautiful outcome and very inspiring. As someone who hope to be a studio animator someday, seeing things like this, that I respect and enjoy so much, it motivates me to per-sue this career even more. Thank you all SO MUCH for this absolute masterpiece and your work and dedication towards it. B. I find it so ironic that I got so happy to see ramshackle as one of the projects in that lil collection of fan-funded shorts, and then you pointed it out. VERY excited for that too!!

I what an entirely blame them or anything but yeah I did feel like they were just looking for these days and never considered a talent sometimes
@@changsiah2 ...what?
@@ericraululyeetusdelyeetus5028 just my personal opinions and secondly let's not compare to be honest
@@changsiah2 I think they said “what” because I didn’t understand a single thing you said.
with the help of The original creator for the show/comic Ms Tracey Probably gave the animators the Models for them... either way 170 People worked on the show... meaning not 1 or 2 people had to draw the same thing... but a good hundred people did so wonderfully and i cant wait to see more!
as an aspiring animator/illustrator, my dream is to work on something like this, something special and meaningful and fun! I didn't know anything about Lackadaisy when I saw it pop up in my recommended a few hours ago but it inspires me so much and it makes me really happy to know that the talanted people behind it had fun working on it too, since the animation industry is notoriously unhealthy for animators sometimes.
My dream too is to work on something like this, I'm glad I'm not alone :)
Same here! I am making my own story and hoping to start something like this!
@@pastelokami cool!! I’m working on making a short stop motion film :D
I've always wanted to work on stuff like this... But alas, I haven't had much chance to animate...
But I am in music, and maybe one day, I'll be playing or composing for something like this. Glad there's a world full of creative people out there!
Dang! Maybe when we all become amazing at animating (I’m sure all of you will!) we can all be a part of something awesome
aw gosh omg this was such a lovely watch ToT I was an animator on it too and it was such a lovely experience. I feel like I missed out on a bunch due to my time zone, but despite that I could still feel how supportive everyone was!
Woah, it's cool seeing that you animated on Lackadaisy too! I used to watch all your Warrior Cat animations growing up, lol!
aaa Finchwing so cool to find you here! Your warrior cat animations were such an inspiration to me as a kid and now I'm going to pursue animation in college
Cool! I didn’t know you worked on the project! Your animations are great and Lackadaisy has an amazing team
Honestly, a warrior cats animators animating this makes a lot sense. 😅
Chloe! So happy to see you here, thank you for all your hard work! Your animations are incredibly inspiring to me!
As I'm sure you noticed, the drawing Freckle is staring at in the thumbnail is from one of your shots!

I love it, it feels like an artist signature.

I didn't know this web comic existed until I came across the pilot. I hope I can become a decent animator someday.

These type of passionate projects always make me smile

Annie you are the best!! Thank you so very very much for your attention to detail, you did a fantastic job! Hoping to work with you as well!!
the lackadaisy pilot was one of the best show pilots I have ever seen if not THE BEST. I'm so happy this series exists and I'm so proud of every single person who worked their buts off to produce something so beautiful
Im 14 and i was inspired by lackadaisy, i had dreamed on working on something just like this.
Gonna be honest that, Freckles collapsing on the coffin was my favourite joke in the whole pilot lmao, so seeing you animated it is so cool!
Seen lackadaisy (wrote a comment on that video... completely forgetting it was a comic back in 2015)
Watching this... just tearing up WHYYY
Yeah not really into the story either, but stories with this level of passion and dedication behind them deserve to be told!
I assume the story just didn't have the time to shine in such a short video
@@barabara9855 you can make an effective story in a short time. I think they made a decent short. I just wasn't the one captivated by it. Like I'm not captivated by this particular theme.
I'm still young animator studying animation on my own in high school
This really motivated me and boost my strength 💪 ❤
Imposter syndrome is like everywhere! I work in IT and sure as heck I feel it everyday especially when seniors can do the work so much faster than me!
WOW this was so inspiring and insightful! It just made me love indie animation even more aaa
Zi!! I'm a massive fan since I saw your thesis animation, and so very excited for what you're cooking with Ramshackle! Wish you the best of luck!!
Dang, I'm really glad to hear how positive and supportive the crew can be. Hope this project continues to take off like crazy.
I haven’t finished the pilot but the animation and voice acting is definitely the best part
You did phenomenal work!
incredible video! been excited for the pilot for a while!! hoping to be a part of a production like it someday :)

I've never worked as animator, but I'm so proud of you and your team! The pilot was amazing. Keep up the great work! :)

Dude Lackadaisy showed the others how it is DONE. No over-reliance on swearing and crude humor to be funny... god what an amazing pilot.
As hard as it gets, this video reminded me that I will and always will love animation. Lackadaisy is awesome
I want to study animation and I was feeling really down due to the state of the industry rn, but this video has inspired me so much in a positive way!
When i was younger, I always wanted to be an animator, but I thought I can't do it, and when the lackadaisy pilot was released, my inspiration came back, I always enjoyed indie animations, and someday I wish I could make amazing animations like Lackadaisy and Helluva boss :D
watching this just after they hit $2m for the first season of Lackadaisy just makes me so happy! Indie animation is winning!
This is really wholesome.
fucking LOVED IT. ty for helping bring this into the world
as an animation student that's currently going through some very rough times, this video was really, really helpful. these last few months I've been feeling down, thinking that maybe I'm not good enough, or that I'm not made for working in the animation industry.
Thank you.
It reminds me SO MUCH of The Aristocats so I think you Nailed it!
As someone who wants to create a production animation company please know this video was amazing. Thank you so much for making it I've learned a lot!
Im so glad I stumbled upon lackadaisy plot in my recommended! It was amazing to watch, and I’m excited to see more!
I loved watching the pilot. It was so entertaining with the characters the animation and the fast past action.
Y'all knocked it out of the park, and it's really inspiring as an artist. I really hope we get as much of this as you guys want to offer.
