That was rather brilliant! Have ridden parts of the ride in the past, but what a memory jogger this video is. One vivid memory - Waskerley Way was a much worse surface in 1994 when I rode it! Just reminds one what how magnificent County Durham is (native of 78 years). Well done.
Cheers Maurice, glad you enjoyed it. There's been quite a lot of improvement to cycling infrastructure over the years which is a good job because there are a lot more cars on the road! All the best
Another great video! Love seeing more of our region. Youre inspiring me to get back on a road bike & get back into audax! I'll have to regain my confidence in traffic a lot more though 😳 I'd be really interested in videos about what sort of gear you use. Looking forward to part 3. Keep up the good work! 👍
Living in Chopwell I have the pleasure of riding the first section (from the Tyne) most weeks, and the section to Consett most months. You were so lucky with the weather. Even on clear, sunny days it can be blowing a gale up on the Pennines. Looking forward to the final instalment
Thank you, it's on its way. Regarding the weather, I took a great deal of care selecting what I hoped would be a good day - mainly for the light in order to make a decent video. All the best

I've been riding the Waskerley Way since the '90s too. It was a lot rougher then! 😳
Another great video!

Thanks Peter. I've got plans to make some 'explanatory' videos when I've published part 3 of the Palatine Pedal
@@thedurhamcow3535 looking forward to it! 😊👍
@@thedurhamcow3535 be interested in hearing about your cockpit setup, too 👍
Another cracking video and some stunning scenery 👍
Well, I had some help with the scenery 😉
Great video. Really interesting to learn about the various mineral uses
Thank you. We certainly had a busy couple of centuries. I can make your head spin!
