"We must always shoot what we see, what we want to show all the people. Because those images will find their audience." - Well said. Compliments.
Thanks so much for watching
Great work. also great location
As a photographer, I love the style of your .photography. Sublime
Thanks so much! I really appreciate this
I shaved my beard, Im back into B&W film photography and I will leave Instagram. I am in a new beginning, and you made me think of a change. Your photographs are precious and inspiring
Ha haa! Brilliant!
The fotos are just beautiful😊
I just started with Leica Monochrom this spring and I consider my M10 to be my highest performing camera and it would be one of the last things I would ever part with. The image quality is better than b&w images from color digital cameras and b&w film. High resolution and dynamic range make it magical and so fun to use!
I’d love an M10M! I sometimes think about trading the Q2M in for an M10M
Thanks Paul for this - always inspiring and insightful. Awesome images. It’s all about photographing from the heart. Really need to get into printing. Thanks for reminder.
Thanks so much for watching the video!! I appreciate it
Excellent video and images as always. Even though most of my work is in color, I love B&W photography and now have the Leica M11 monochrome and you have inspired me to use it more. Keep up the great work!
Thanks so much for watching the video. I’d love an M11M but the price is far beyond my reach
I love your style. you are one of inspired me and I just bought a Q2 monochrom. thanks
That’s amazing! Thanks so much for watching the videos
lovely photos really agree with your philosophy on printing
Thanks so much!!! I really appreciate you watching
Another enjoyable video Paul. I Do enjoy B&W photography and a monochrome camera would be very nice. The nearest I have at the moment is my infrared converted 850nm which is great as I really enjoy shooting those types of photos as well.
Fantastic!!!! That sounds like a great tool from some unusual photography
Will always remember my first day shooting with the q2m. Everything is art feeling. Hope to join one of your events in 24.
Awesome!!!
Shooting b&w film for 40 years and also digital! I use a M8 now because a Monochrome is way out of my budget. But really love your results 🙌
Fantastic!!!!!
Good afternoon Paul,
Given your enthusiasm for platinotypes, I think it was really important that you stressed that silver printing also has a richness to it. Different admittedly, but richness all the same. In fact the go printing urge sent me searching for a darkroom at least to do the development / contact printing part. Only thing halting me is I never really was good with that in the past.
However a recent experiment where I started to convert to BW the excellent scans I was getting from Silbersalz made me realise how powerful that option is. Silbersalz => Appollo scans => BW and... the local darkroom have a Bostick & Sullivan UV Box... I you get my drift :)
Awesome!!!! Yeah I’m certainly not printing everything platinum. I’m aiming for 20 of my best prints. I’m looking forward to also doing some silver gelatin prints
I like that Kodak t-Shirt!
Ha haaa!!! Amazing what you can get in Primark
Just superb work!!
Thanks so much
Wonderful images Paul, really enjoyed them.. Thanks for the chat even if it were one sided...
Thanks for watching the video. I really appreciate it
Paul- I'm really in to monochrom images...and the Leica Q2M (used) seems to run significantly more expensive than the color Q2. Do you EDIT your images from the Q2M and do you get better edits from it? As I've seen some fabulous edits from Q2 color images? Thank you. Enjoy your videos.
Your work is amazing!!! I would love to see sooc images too. I'm not great at LR😕
The RAW are far from the edited! The jpgs can be similar
Your pictures are great!
Thanks so much!!
Fabulout content Paul! I agree with Instagram. Could you please tell me the name that you mentioned that is better. I can't find it. 🤷♀
Thanks for watching the video. Vero is the instagram alternative I was talking about.
Very well said.
Thanks so much!!!
I couldn't understand the name of that other online photo site. It sounded like V-row. Is that the correct name? The videos as always are super inspiring. Thanks!!
Thanks so much!!! It’s Vero
Thank you so much!!!! @@paulreidphotography
Fantastic images....I have just bought a Leica Q2...is it possible too get these sort of contrasty black and White images straight out of camera jpeg just on the cameras B and W mode ??
I think you could get close if you put the contrast at its highest maybe
Well said.
informative video.
Thanks so much!!
Thanks for this wonderful monologue. Your images are inspirational in that this is what we can achieve. Can I share some of my images with you? I follow you on Instagram as well.
Absolutely! I’d love to see them
Is "Viro" a web page?
VERO is a social media app. No ads. It’s good.
Vero and yes it’s an app as commented on here
I typed VERO on my phone I cant find a photography APP called that?@@paulreidphotography
Instagram is terrible nowadays.
How about you cut off all the bullshit and money, and just stick to the message of getting people to print their photographs? It's that easy. It could be instax, who cares. The second knob of photography is gifting. It gets you out of your head. You must understand that. With intention. Oh, hey, I got something for you, here's a print, just for you. Do You Feel my actual intention. This is unique and it's made perfectly for you at this moment. Maybe they will hang it in their trash bin, or their bathroom, but the gift is the closer on the photograph. Gift prints. Someday it might make you famous.
Yeah I have given prints away before. Tomorrow I’m doing a shoot for someone also for free. Unfortunately I also need to make a living with my photography so not everything is free. Even this channel takes time to keep going. I’m terrible at editing videos so it takes me longer than most. This channel is also free for everyone to watch.
I've never taken photos to please others.
Good for you!!! I can’t say I’ve always done the same
