i cant even with people saying she's "shouting" her louder notes...technically speaking, her louder top notes have more breath support and and control in comparison to her lower/not-so-loud notes. can i just comment on how difficult it is too, to hold a note for so long without vibrato/wavering towards the end of the note. SIS CAN SING and anyone saying otherwise is a bit...deaf

Park Ki young is technically excellent, but Solji just knows exactly how and when to articulate the dynamics in her voice perfectly to fit the songs emotion for a performance with more feelz

저당시 방청갔던 사람중에 누가 인증하고 후기남긴거보니까 박기영 솔지 둘다 엄청나게 잘불렀지만 듣기편한건 솔지였다고함. 솔지가 어떤가요 불렀는데 마치 CD를 튼것처럼 박하사탕이 귀에 꽂히는듯한 어쩌고 표현쓰면서 엄청좋았다고 하는데 사실 그냥 가수로서 클라스만보면 당연히 솔지보다 박기영이 훨씬위지만 저런 예상치못한 결과도 나오는거보면 우리나라 가요계는 눈에보이는게 전부가 아닌듯. 사실 솔지도 굉장히 천재적인 보컬이고 가왕먹기전에 부른 몽중인 들어보면 그것도 거의 역대급 무대였음

Park ki young have bad luck with boohwal song. At 2016 she failed to be a king also sang boohwal song. I think she is always wrong choose a song on the 3rd round. Her performance on immortal song was better than this.

What else should this woman do. I mean seriously? Solji is top quality as well but honestly this is another level. Only singer I can see to singvlikecthis is Ali. She lost once again. One of the most underrated singers I have ever seen.
This is a late reply, but Park Kiyoung really is underrated. She was easily leagues above the rest of the competition in terms of technique.

Another unlucky KOMS challenger together with Lee Hyuk. Those two are something else. Atleast she left the throne with another master in Solji.
Why do often masters come up againgst masters when there are weeks where the King is not so special and ends up defending his throne against not so special opponents.

Do you still watch KoMS these days? IMO quality of the most final challenger were dissapointing technical wise also their song choice. Starting from Kyu Hyun, Lee Sook Hoon, So Chan Whee, and now Seungyoon all won 5 times with easier final opponents compared to KoMS of 2-3 years ago, they were great kings tho.

@@damblebee1253 You are very right. The level of competition is low these days compared to 2-3 years before where there would be a lot of legendary vocalists every week. I still watch because I love the show but it's not as competitive as before. A lot of young singers getting the chance these days.
@@jarlaatz632 Yeah me too, I watch it still coz I love this show, but I think the PD should keep up their game asap. These days most of the time I already know the Kings would win because their performance is much better than the final challengers, compared to some time ago most of the time it's hard to now for sure whether the Kings could defend their throne as their performances were neck to neck.
There are still great singers that could be invited for 2nd attempt like Ailee, Seo Moon Tak, Yangpa, Lina CSJH etc that deserves to sit on that throne
