My last flight in a KW was landing at AMARG (the Boneyard), and handing the keys over to the staff there. Many feelings. Flew the first bunch out of the Rucker fleet.
I was a 58D PL in Alaska and was permanently disqualified from flying due to cancer. I’ve been itching to get back in the cockpit for damn near 20 years now. Thanks to these devs, I’ll finally be about to.

Wow this looks very interesting. What is this a heavily upgraded JetRanger III with modified instruments and nightflight capabilities? DCS is becoming a truly fascinating helicopter sim featuring the Hind, Hokum, Apache, and soon Chinook and Kiowa. I have never touched any helicopter since FS2004 and FSX times (including FS2020) but DCS as helicopter simulator for VR flying becomes more and more interesting!
Jebus. I really thought I was being shown photographs until I saw the DCS terrain outside (it’s pretty good but not yet mistakable for real terrain) and the pilot skin with no subsurface scattering. Neither of which is Polychop’s fault and I don’t really fault ED for those as we need to keep performance as low as possible. But that texturing inside the cockpit is next level. And that’s the stuff I’ll be looking at the most when I get this module 😀
I really wish these devs would stop teasing us for years and years I think that it should not be announced or even allowed to prepurchase outside of 1 maybe 2 months of release I understand this is how they drum up money for manpower put in. But, come on!?

Yep. I like the Apache but it’s so complicated and not really useful without an AI copilot so I’m expecting the Kiowa to hit the sweet spot. The Gazelle is my current fave and this looks like the Gazelle on steroids.
@@Rabies4818 I use my controllers as my HOTAS and the Gazelle wont allow that. I can push buttons and flip switches but not grab the cyclic nor collective. I can do it in the Mi8, Apache, Huey and Mi-8 th-cam.com/video/tNeC0ntpGbI/w-d-xo.html
Really looking forward to flying this in DCS. With over 1500 combat hours flying OH-58Ds in Iraq, it's going to bring back some memories.

DCS has a lot to offer. Can get pricey with the modules adding up, and hardware to really have fun with it.
