You just have to know how far to take it with your child or take her phone away, turn it off completely and change the wifi password. She's too young have a phone anyway. Actually, I am from the Myspace age and even then there was an assignment in high school about that. One of my first projects in college had to do with Facebook, and with another class that was the only way students could reach their professors. You won't believe how many assignments I see my little cousins come home with that have to deal with social in some way shape or form.

I watched a video of a mom dealing with three bratty teens. She was amazingly old school. She ordered each kid to put his or her cellphone on a stump, one at a time. She displayed her firearm skills by blasting each cellphone with a rifle. Each time, she said "I will not be disrespected". The kids complained, but they did obey her. This mom did not play games.
To me this woman is like too many parents these days, she has no control over her child. As a parent you have the right to teach your children to be respectful, especially towards you. It is absolutely unacceptable to me that this woman allows her child to speak to her like that. If I had lost my mind when I was growing up and said that once to my mother, I would be wearing a full set of false teeth right now or would still be hurling through outer space. Seriously, people need to get back to the job and responsibility of parenting their children.

I'm 20 going on 21 and I know, if I gave her reason to, she'd beat my ass. The good Jamaican parents know how to beat you without it going to abuse (unlike a cousin I wanted to fight for beating her daughter with a rake...she's blessed that my other cousin held me back)
