Well, I can give you my opinion on this.
Back then and up to today I rarely heard this album. To me it sounded "forced", especially after the "progress", or at least changes they did on Untitled and See you on the Other Side.
Idk, but the Breakdowns etc sounded generic to me, like they tried to be nostalgic. But that's not what I associated with Korn.

There's really no wrong way to love Korn. All the albums have their highs and lows, even Path of Totality has some alright stuff on it. Guess I'm just happy to still have Korn around after all these years. Always waiting for that next album.

Absolutely, we got spoiled with their early albums but all of their albums have at least 2-3 bangers with very few bad songs. Remember Who You Are would have much more appreciated if wasn’t called Korn III. It had some really good tunes. Some of which stuck with me. Pop A Pil was great. Fear Is a Place To Live and People Pleaser have an amazing chorus. Holding All The Lies is epic, one of their most undervalued songs ever.

I think the songs on this album are great, personally I think why people don’t like it as much is because the production is very raw and unfiltered. I think both Munky and Ray shine on this record as the riffs are great and I think this is my favorite performance in Korn by Ray. I know people prefer David (I like his drumming better for Korn too) but this album I think is where Ray got the grooviest and closest to the original David drum sound/groove.

Korn's 2010 album, their first with producer Ross Robinson since 1996's Life Is Peachy, is called Korn III: Remember Who You Are, but sometimes it's better to forget. The nu-metal pioneers were in a weird spot during this era, having just come off a 10-month hiatus; Brian "Head" Welch was still out of the band while drummer Ray Luzier had just joined. Reuniting with Robinson was meant to rekindle the fearsome energy of their early years, but even Jonathan Davis admits that they "failed miserably."

I remember reading about this album back in 2010 stating "Korn returns to their blistering roots", and they did. Some have said this album was "blandd" and "boring". This album was as simplicit as their early stuff which was what they were aiming for. Honestly, this was a success in my book. Just as their debut, JD showed raw emotion at the end, though not as extreme as THAT one song.
    This album was great.

El menos recordado luego de la época de la salida de Head y David, de la época experimental y recuperando sus raíces es mi menos favorito, pero tiene temazos como Fear is a Place to Live, Move on, Lead The Parade, Never Around y Are Ready to Live?, tanto que se critica el The Path of Totality o el Untitled que para mi son discazos, al igual que The Paradigm Shift y el mismo SYOTOS, incluso Take a Look in the Mirror tiene sus joyitas, ni hablar The Serenity of Suffering, The Nothing y Requiem que para mi sin duda pelean entre los mejores álbumes de toda su discografía, pienso que aveces se critica a esta banda por que con sus primeros 5 discos dejaron la vara muy alta pero ningún disco nunca se me hizo aburrido.

I have a few of their other albums and enjoy pretty much everything they've released. I like the dark stuff. Haha
But to be honest, I'd say most of this album is some of their weakest. The latter half, however, is great. "Let the Guilt Go" isn't bad, but "The Past" and the songs after were great. I loved it.

It was such an underrated and wrongly hated record. It’s brilliant.

As I listen to this album, I keep getting reminded of some online drama, that is currently going down, with the gaming community on youtube, not dropping any names. Don't need to bring it here!

This album feels a little out of place or all over the place... Can't decide...and the names of songs are so generic... Pop a pill...c'mon... Lifelong Korn fan here but Ill skit this and the next album in the succession all together

Im sorry, but this is not even in the same league as KoRn's older material.

Just saw an article which listed albums which were bad but had one ‘banger’ which saved it (according to the writer). I thought ok nice concept. Then I saw Koran 3 oildale. Wtf. What a load of crap. For one oildale isn’t even the best song on the album lol. If I had to choose the ‘hit’ then let the guilt go surely? And second every song is good in my opinion. Fear is a place to live, are you ready to live and holding all these lies are all bangers. Stupid people are stupid.

This album sounds forced and tired. The same riff over and over. Go listen to self titled or peachy for Korn.

Best observation thru every single comment. Awesome job for that!! And I actually agree 💯. But I surprisingly, even to myself, think of this album great and also underrated in it's own self, even though it has a lot of repetition of riffs and all that. It's catchy...very catchy and still heavy, I love it...still, even though all you said is true. Weird isn't it? Thank you for your best comment brother.
