Nice review, very detail and unbiased ! There is very few X12 Detachable and Yoga 7i (2021 Model) review video here in TH-cam, I would wish to see if you can review Yoga 7i (2021 Model) as I am about to choose between it and other tablet.
Lenovo made good quality laptop recent years, I have purchase multiple of them. They are not only durable, but also stable in term of software or firmware etc. I never experience and crash or unstable with their product, unlike my previous bad experience with Asus and Acer.

The ThinkPad x12 was on my wish list when I was still in the market for a new laptop. My old ThinkPad t440s has been with me through all my college years. It was indestructible. But it was on it's life's tail end. However I still ended up going for the Surface Pro 7 with keyboard and pen combo. Mostly 'cos the x12 was not available in my country, and their reps couldn't give me an exact release date. So, I caved and went for the Surface. . Having the pen magnetically attach the the side of the screen is great. a pen loop just looks less durable to me. Having a simple usb-A is so much more usable in daily activity's then an extra usb-C for me. This way I don't have to carry a dongle with me to plug in a simple wired mouse. Yes, you pay for the separate keyboard and pen. But I can reuse those when I buy my next Surface.
Having decent speakers is also something most people don't notice until it's gone. Yeah the sound isn't very deep, but you can't expect that on a small form factor device like this. Sound needs room to sound good.
What however would have been another interesting point to touch upon too is the different pen technology both Surface and Lenovo uses. For creative people on the go that would be an interesting talking point. And def something that sets them apart.
Anyway I enjoyed your review. To the point and no clutter, keep it up!

I actually ordered one and received it today. I tested it. Its beautiful. To my surprise the pen was magnetic and it attached to the side of the case. I am not sure if they have included the feature in the new release. I got the precision pen not the standard digital pen that comes with it.
The keyword is so tactile and the travel is so good. Dont think Surface's keyboard would even come close to it. Agreed the screen is not so bright as SP7, but Lenovo compensates for it in many other facets. The build qulity is typical of thinkpad, very dirable and feels solid.

I've been waiting to pull the trigger on a SP7 for a few weeks now. Now that I've been seeing videos on the X12, im beginning to struggle to decide which I should go for 😬

Please do a review with Lenovo Yoga Duet 7 13ITL6 16GB RAM Core i7 with 1 TB SDD storage (it's also called 2021 Model) .. no one is done it (they do it for 13 ML05) and no one compared it with Microsoft Surface Pro ... i think it's way better but since it's new it has not be reviewed and compared before

There is a huge disparity of prices in the US and India. With the same specifications the Indians have to buy the same product with a significantly higher price. Even the price is much higher than Microsoft surface 8 pro in India.
