Tbf, Dartitus is something in your head imo. I've encountered it once, took a brake from darts for a month or three or so, and I gradually started throwing again and gained more trust again. It's a really weird phenomenon tho. It's great that Mensur has found his own way of beating it, and with great succes
Mensur is a prime example of overcoming a potentially career ending condition and still playing with amazing precision. I used to find his technique funny until I realized that his technique is the result of his resiliency. Good on you, mate.
Just threw my first 180 after trial and error on different grips. Finally found one that felt natural to me, even though it was a bit different from the ones I've seen my friends use. Turns out it's the same grip as Mensur's 😂
i had a very similar throw to mensur but i thought im not supposed to throw like that so i changed it now my throw looks like most pros…i might change back after seeing this masterpiece of a throw
This backs up my belief that dartitis is primarily physical. I have similar issues, I useto always hold the dart with the tips of my fingers and thumb but I've had to adapt alot since. It's mainly in my thumb, but I notice similarities in his throw. It's hard to accept that I can't throw with same freedom, touch and feel as I useto and I know it has decreased my ability.
Good to se people overcoming dartitis. I have dartitis now..had it two times before, and the funny thing is that the first time I got over it, I had a similar grip to Mensurs....and another thing is, that every time I've won against dartitis, I have returned as a better dartsplayer .
That’s interesting him twirling the dart until it feels right in his hand. Maybe it’s like golfers placing their ball on the green for a putt with the name lining up to the hole? Maybe no lol Good for him getting over dartitis though.
Mr Harrington, would be nice if you give players a chance to talk about their own throw and technique, rather than you analyzing their throw on their behalf; you didn't give the man a chance to speak.
Mensur's throw is a piece of art - especially if you know the backstory to it.
no
@@AdamRobinson-eq3hk still
Amazing that he overcame dartitis and is able to play at the level he does.
He's a little bit like you coming up with a very unique style to overcome dartitus, I think it looks cool!
You do like its some kind of disease...
@@michalhornicek8061 Hmm. Not the most positive comment I've seen lol

4:00 the most violent handshake of all time 😂
I absolutely love mensur‘s english 😂
Wie er immer aber anstatt but sagt😂
@@M-B180 mega lustig 😂
Same here. I remember one match he won last year, Laura Woods asked him what he thought of his game. His answer: Shiiit.
His reaction after he won The Champions League of darts is even better!!!
best series - my throw... we need more of it!!!
Thank you so much PDC for bringing this back!
Brilliant, more of these please, they really help in analysing my own throw, and giving me tips on what to look out for
As an Austrian I am very happy that Mensur is still one of the best dart players :) Keep on going Mensur!
Mensur is such a nice bloke. I hope he goes on and win major success with the PDC
Rod's like the David Attenborough of darts
Mensur! What an amazing throw. Such an inspiration of the game.
Can watch these breakdowns all days. And mensur!
Brilliant video. Love Mensur and his unique throw. He can hit a double 12 pretty much every time. Rod’s great at these tutorials as well. More please.
Did not know the history behind Mensur's throw. That was a fascinating episode!
This would be brilliant if they did more of these
Mensur comes off as a bloke who plays in his underwear at home with a bottle of Šljivovica nearby.
I love this series. I want to see one of these for every player on the circuit.
THE RETURNNNN OF THE GOAT SERIES
PDC we love you
Nice one rod keep up the good work. And as always lots of love for the gentle..
Such an underrated player. Holy crap, Upcoming world champion!
The best format on Dart on YT❤️
I love these so much, thank you PDC
Do Peter wright, chizzy, bunting and whitlock
Gogo Minchev yeah they would be good ones to see
Nice to have this back 😀😀😀👌👌👍🎯
Mensur is my favourite.
HOW???
He's the most painful player to watch...
Great video series and very helpful. I would love to see you do one of these with one of the rhythm player like Michael Smith.
Please more of it 🙌
Mensur is amazing!

These My Throw videos are all good, but this one especially.
Mensur: "i Play so".. 😛bester Mann Mensur
The greatest throw of all dart Players, for my taste 😄
Awesome throw
Well Rod you can add me to that list too. Took years to get over dartitis . I also had to change my throw . 5x 180s last night happy days .
Stuart Campbell Do you now also ”grip more of the dart“ like Mensur? Well done by the way!
Good to se people overcoming dartitis.

Should do one of these videos with Nathan Aspinall
YESSSSS
Where do I find the "my throw"
video with Max Hopp?
Denke das wird bald noch hochgelagen
von dem kann man nichts lernen
@@rsaman3639 musst es ja nicht anschauen. Ich finde hopp hat einen sehr sauberen Wurfstil von dem man einiges lernen kann.

Wow...I didn't know he had dartitis. Fab story.
Hahahaha Mensur's english is always the hybrid one.
I think they forgot to upload Max Hopp s throw. Like the comment to show them that they forgot to upload it
I would like to have my throw analysed to whether it's a good stance and throw or whether I am doing it all wrong
2:19 is he taking the pish?
Steve Beaton please
The Adonis' throw is slicker than cum on a gold tooth.
I would love to see Justin Pipe there. 🤣
Rod would need a chair!
It takes a week.
Next one my throw Glen Durrant please
Where can i watch my throw with max Hopp?
IT'S BACK 😀😀😀😀
Mensur is the best players
Da sieht man, dass Darts nicht nur mechanisch sondern auch sehr viel Gefühl sein kann
I’d love to see a close up slowmo of Mensurs release.
.25 speed on YT brah
Do it with Chizzy and Darren Webster please
Another Webster fan. I'm glad I'm not alone.
Jay Smith my favourite player
@@dartsclips3762 - Cool. Him and Mensur are mine. I wish Webster would calm down/take his time a bit more, and that Mensur would work on his balance.
Jay Smith i 100% agree. darren is always in a rush to the oche
@@dartsclips3762 He gets too angry with himself too quickly.
How is he playing so good with this technique
1:50 😂 everybody now be trying bit of finger tapping down the pub now!.
No way XD
Just had a go at throwing using Mensur's grip. It was pretty funny. Not a chance of making that work.
There is only one "Flying" man, and its Gary Anderson
Gary Anderson hates his nickname
gr.of darts?
Every bosnian is proud off him
Unfassbar wie er die Pfeile hält!
His throw is so strange
I wish Mensur would work on his balance. It's the one thing that is stopping him consistently competing for titles.
But Mensur is a master of a dart player as well
Just combine suljovic and pipe and you’ve got yourselves a god
My friend died from dartitis 😭 I hope they find a cure soon

comparing it to golfers it's more like thumb twitching when preparing to start a swing (for example Garcia does it)
my throw
Go another my throw
Very funny
Pls do Peter Wright and Rob Cross 💪🏻💪🏻
Gentlemen
But he didn't spend a week at the table so it's not really his throw. This episode would need to be another 10minutes longer if so.
Good to watch but let the guy explain himself instead of you blabbing on....
more like how not to play darts ;)
