There needs to be more videos like this. Some of it I already knew, but it never hurts to be nice and thorough. Good balance between visual example and verbal theory. 10-10, would watch again. Thanks m8.
Once thyristors are given control signal, they continue to conduct unless and until they are forced to stop. This stopping procedure is usually referred as "Commutation" in electrical engineering terms. In AC/DC conversion (controlled rectification), we control when to start but thyristors are automatically turned-off when the polarity of input AC reverses making anode to be connected with -ve polarity (similar case with cathode). Same process happens in AC/AC conversion. Hope it is clear now. :-)
***** You are way opposite to your name. If you are referring Terrorists to us Pakistanis, you are not in position to judge us just by sitting there on your PC. This is a sensitive topic for us and nobody asked your opinion on a simple harmless video. Although we are in crisis right now but I am still proud of being a Pakistani. We are not terrorists, we are the victim of terrorism.
+Viper Crypt You know, you don't lack of anything comparing to westerns. You have the potential to develop anything. But you have to stand against the terror. You have to overcome it by enlighting and encouraging your people. Best regards from Turkey. Nice upload.
Could I know what book you got the figures from? I refer to the figures of the semiconductor structures. This is because I would like to read further. Thanks
Okay so here's my question. If you remove your signal and current continues to flow causing the circuit to become regenerative, does that not defeat the purpose of a thyristor? you need to be able to control your SCR's. Especially in AC/DC or AC/AC rectification or it will cause the construction of your thyristor to melt and cause failure. Take a look at Press-pack Thyristor construction
Agree with the comment that the emphasis in the voice is wrong - which causes some unnecessary confusion. Also, the addition of words such as 'the' and 'a' in the right places would make the English more sensible. These are small, albeit important, points but over all the video is good if a little fast.

seriously awesome...this video should be shown at all engineering college for this topic..keep it up man..
music fits perfectly, very clear video.
cool video :) whole pf power electronics covered crisply in 6 min video :) Please do continue the good work. many thanks
Thanks for this video. It's the best way to explain thyristors.
Good video explaining thyristors, rectifiers and DC drives. Thank you !
Good explanatory video ....nice one

great piece of work .... thanks
Thank you. This video is really amazing. I hope you make more such videos. Thanks again.
than you so much for the upload , got a very clear idea with precision, saving a lot of
time!!
Veryu usefull!!!! Thanks a lot!!! Keep uo the good job... engineers all around the worl!!!
Thank you for giving a clear idea about those devices...!!
Thank you for sharing this video, was really helpful.
very glad to know you are a Pakistani...
very informative video.
keep it up

ignore some crazy people . i am indian and glad to learn from a good teacher .. .
me too as Bangladeshi.
the music is so distracting
fantastic video !

Thats a great presentation :) thanks :)
Music is distracting.
Stellar......ingenious!!!!!
brilliant video thanx for sharing!
Very informative and helpful! Thank you so much! :D
Thats ultimate ...best one :)
Thanks for the video.... short and brief (very-helpful)...:-D
Very informative..... Thank you

Thanks for the video!, actually I would have preferred it without the background music ( a bit disturbing ).
Thanks for your tutorial.
By any chance do you have a tutorial about building RF Power oscilator -amplifiers like using the MRF151?
I am interested.
thx u bro esok ada quiz kot video ni banyak membantu kot
Music is the starting tune of with Supersense - Antonino Di Leva
thank you. this helped so much :D please make more videos
perfect ,loved the music
thanks of explanation.its great.
Great video, thank you!
nice

Thank you for posting this
great video.enjoeyd it and understood almost completely.
btw can any1 tell me the song pls?
amazing video
Great help thanks you :)
Muchas gracias por el video!!!
Great explanation! Thanks for putting it out there!
In what order does electricity flow through the anode cathode and gate in which order
Hello,
Thank you for the video!
I have a questions
Does 2 thyristors and 2 sinus power supplies create a half wave or a full wave?
helped a lot to understand...
very good thanks alot
So how do you turn off the gate?
:)
I have already mentioned I had used Zamzar.com (for text to audio conversion).
How are these used in soft starts to ramp up the voltage/ current?
Need a better explanation on controlled rectification. Any ideas?
read power electronic circuits, devices and applications by muhammed rashid
do you have the solution manual for this book ? thanks
عبدالله الحربي
Yes I have ^_*
Kaher Alyteem can you provide me a link to it or something.
@@Meh34066 i dont think he can:(
wow!!!! control loop system amazingly explained
music was disturbing :(
nice explanation
good video
الله يجزاك خير.
by the way youtube is ban in pak then how u uploaded this video , by the way information through video was awesome
Excellent :-)
What does a thyristor do?
love u bro thanks a lot
best video for scr.
good but back ground noise is very loud but thanks for the info
Thanks for the effort, however the background music was unnecessary and distracting.
very nice
I think this video is better if the subtitle has been read by real man =))
awsome presantation but
please get rid of that music
I made the block-diagrams myself and got most of the figures from internet.
@banumathee Thanx. :)
video is very good and important
but music is like a noise
awesome!! thanks
i feel that u r using microsoft text to speech tool in this video, for speaking the text in english : haan bhai :)
incredibly informative videos , could have done without the distracting music though
easily understood
good..
piece of advice take out the music
its like hawking is lecturing...
Thank you!
My pleasure. :)

@kamaleshramallingam Sorry bro can't do that.
video is useful but music is unnecessary whilst very disturbing and annoying.
when i saw this video i feel like that

@cyril4real Thanx
Thanks
background music disturbing in concentration and irritating please make the video without music so that one can concentrate
It's been a long time I made this video. I don't think I have the original files with me anymore. So unfortunately, I cannot edit anymore.
