- In this video, I share 3 key lessons learned from working on my first Double Materiality Assessment (DMA) in line with the CSRD, as well as general market-trend observations and insights gained from the current market situation.
I cover the process of defining material topics, the value of the DMA beyond compliance, and the importance of thorough documentation for auditability.

Hey there!
Do share your experience of learning and understanding CSRD in the comments below! It would be very interesting to learn about your journey
It seems you took a very detailed plan to go through all the processes involved. Well done. I am learning a lot from you.
happy to hear you found it useful! have you carried out the DMA yourself yet? if so, what was your process?
thanks Kristine, very detailed! I was wondering if you have some specific tips about step 1, "understanding the context", which helps you define the IROs? I have seen that many consultants also look at peers but it seems like you are looking more at the company itself and other standards, as well as the ESRS?
@@purple_rei14 thank you for posting the question!
For making the initial list of “Impacts, Risks and Opportunities” I would suggest starting with ESRS list of topics and subtopics. It can be expanded looking at other companies in your industry and that’s always a good source of insight. You can also check SASB industry specific standards to expand the list further.
Hope that helps and best of luck! ☺️
Hey !
Thank you for sharing your feedback and key learning.
I'd love to dive more into the subject and challenges you might have encountered related to this particular industry. I am currently doing a research on CSRD and Agroforestry which as a CSRD expert would be interesting to have your insight.
