There is no age limit to trying anything in my opinion. If u like something, just try to do. In fact, this is actually a very good form of exercise. It will actually keep us healthy because we are moving and bending our bodies.
I live in US and I am 46, and as we age, we are prone to getting so many health issues. But I am not a gym person or an aerobic exercise person. Right from my young age I loved dances like dandiya raas, garba, Bhangra etc.. because these are so fun and full of energy. I used to go to Diwali melas, navrathri melas and participate in free style garba and dandiya raas where anyone is free to join whether u have learnt or not. This was during my primary school, middle school, high school and college years and I absolutely loved it. And in my college, I used to support watching colleges compete in garba dandia raas competitions and Bhangra competitions. I loved all this. I am in my mid 40s now and I still love it. I love it so much that I actually want to learn garba and dandiya raas; not to go for a competition or anything; I just want to learn a few basic steps just to keep healthy and to do as a form of exercise and maybe just if there happens to be a Diwali mela and there is a garba and dandiya raas, then I can do it again. That's all.
