Alex, keep up what you’re doing , it’s already great the way it is 😉 I’ve discovered the channel around 2019 if I remember correctly. At first, I remember thinking « why is he talking that fast ? That’s exhausting to listen to ! » (I’m not a native speaker, that doesn’t help). But I got used to it and that doesn’t bother me at all anymore. And you’ve been my favorite content creator since then. That doesn’t mean I watch everything of course, I do not have the time or even the energy for this, but I still watch more than half of this and am part of the Patreons, even though I never watch Patreon exclusives or take part into the giveaways. You’re the one who inspired me to create my own channel (for the French speaking community) because of the quality of your analysis, the passion I could feel through your videos, and the fresh intakes on certain topics. After 3 years on TH-cam, I’d say I’m very far from the quality you produce on a daily basis, but it’s fun and more and more people are joining. All that to say, I don’t comment much, maybe just 3-4 times a year, but I appreciate everything you do a lot and I’d like to thank you for it 😌

I watch quite a lot of board game channels and like them for different reasons - but I have to say your reviews are the best (even better than the dice tower reviews!) and my favorite type of content as well. I am hoping selfishly that you don't want to drop that aspect of your channel!! I have read that for most people keeping your work and hobbies separate is more joyful, because as soon as you earn money from doing what you love there is a price to pay in terms of enjoyment of said hobby. You end up having to monetize and allocate timeframes to something you would normally do just for fun. I am trying to remember which book this was in - i will post if I remember!

This is one of five board game related channels I pay attention to, but at the top of the list in terms of how much. I respect your approach (for example, what you see others not liking about a game even if you do) and attempt to be fair/transparent. Next time we're at GenCon maybe we'll try to buy you dinner if you can be tracked down (probably 2025!).
Been around since you were before 1000 subs, really appreciate your content. The reason I first found your channel was the financial decision of backing games. The way you broke down the value and perceived value of being able to recoup money if a game is not for me. I stayed because the other content was really good. I've come around your YT channel around a year ago when I started purchasing games via Gamefound/Kickstarter (looking for some games that are not well established and unique) and your content has been nothing but great, informative, entertaining and helpful. Thanks to you and prof. Meg I was able to continuously select the games which would bring me joy and I'm happy with my purchases and choices (which like I said recently: we HAVE TO choose, there's just too many games coming out nowadays and they're wayy too expensive and long to have and play them all). Your content provides me with an unique opportunity to see whether I'd like the game that picked my interest or not. Challenge my thoughts about the title by providing your unique perspective on them. I can honestly say that I don't watch ALL of your videos but definitely most of them - whenever TH-cam informs me about a new vid here - it immediately gets my attention. As a person located in central Europe, I couldn't find such content from local creators, thus I gravitated to channels like yours... and yours is at the very top of the list. Honestly thank you for putting in the work and passion to what you do - you're an inspiration and maybe, MAYBE one day I'll try to have a channel of my own devoted to this hobby... if that ever happens, you'll be one of the first people to receive big shout outs. I've come around your YT channel around a year ago when I started purchasing games via Gamefound/Kickstarter (looking for some games that are not well established and unique) and your content has been nothing but great, informative, entertaining and helpful. Thanks to you and prof. Meg I was able to continuously select the games which would bring me joy and I'm happy with my purchases and choices (which like I said recently: we HAVE TO choose, there's just too many games coming out nowadays and they're wayy too expensive and long to have and play them all). Your content provides me with an unique opportunity to see whether I'd like the game that picked my interest or not. Challenge my thoughts about the title by providing your unique perspective on them. I can honestly say that I don't watch ALL of your videos but definitely most of them - whenever TH-cam informs me about a new vid here - it immediately gets my attention. As a person located in central Europe, I couldn't find such content from local creators, thus I gravitated to channels like yours... and yours is at the very top of the list.
Honestly thank you for putting in the work and passion to what you do - you're an inspiration and maybe, MAYBE one day I'll try to have a channel of my own devoted to this hobby... if that ever happens, you'll be one of the first people to receive big shout outs. You, Board game hangover and board game bollocks are the only channels i still follow after 3years in this hobby. But you are by far my goto channel if i need an honest opinion. You talk fast but, I always get the feeling you are honest and thrustworthy. And i got some purchases based on your comments and well it has been spot on anytime.
