Hi Chris 😊 I had to read thumbnail 2X, AND LOVED IT! I've worn YSL PARIS for ions, it will knock your socks, panties and bra off..........beast! Over the years I couldn't even spray twice, it remains on the skin and clothing a very long time. I wore it last night and dressed, sprayed it over my head, upper back area. I had a scent bubble for hours, and it was noticed. I've gotta watch your clever video! Francine 😊
Good morning Chris! An excellent list, as usual 😊 I have been shying away from strong fragrances lately, mostly because I like to wear multiple fragrances in a day. I’m gradually returning to them as the weather cools though. I recently purchased a decant of Mad Honey by BTSO after smelling it in-store. Oh my goodness…this thing is powerful and sticky sweet 😳 I am going to keep trying it but really don’t know if I can finish the decant. Two sprays and people can smell me a mile away!

This was such a fun video! My in-your-face fragrances include Shaghaf Oud, the original. Rose, oud and praline. Yowza. I normally don't care for rose fragrances, but oddly enough, it works for me. That praline makes all the difference Also, Kajal's Äican. I absolutely adore this fragrance. I love the way this house does fruit. Gorgeous. From Kayali, I have Vanilla Royale Sugar Patchouli. This is one of those "two squirts and done" fragrances. I find the opening overwhelming, to be honest, but that dry down is stunning...
Great title! I bought New York Gardenia based on your recommendation and I love it! Such a realistic gardenia, reminds me of my mother. Love the power of fragrances and memory. I think ruby N Vanilla Neroli is a masterpiece. I adore it as I love neroli. Cri du Kalahari is so chic! Hibiscus Mahajad is another masterpiece. Such a great list. Never tried Angel because I used to smell it everywhere and hated it. Must maybe give it another shot, in the EDT version.

Great topic Chris. As an allergy sufferer and lover of perfumes it can be challenging. But over the years I’ve learned my triggers and why away from scents that cause problems. I’m a musk and patchouli lover. I also enjoy strong fragrances. Lucky for me I work from home full time so I can wear my Franscesa Bianchi’s with gay abandon.
Amouage Guidance! Took the bottle to work because a fellow perfume lover and coworker wanted to smell it! So I had a test strip and sprayed it on the paper and of course some went into the air of our large showroom. I’m not kidding the smell was so strong; it hung in the air in that area of the showroom for HOURS!! lol 😂 😂😂
Love the topic of this video. I'm always careful about my perfumes because I dont want to "offend" anyone. But sometimes I just want my perfume to be loud. Hibiscus Mahajad does that for me. As well as Carmina (Creed) and Rouge Malachite (Armani Privè). Oh another one is Crystal Saffron (Matiere Premiere).
Love the title! One perfume I wore that nearly choked my coworker: Arquiste Indigo Smoke. 🤦🏾♀️ Now, I give new fragrances a trial run/full wear at home first.
It’s so interesting to me what different people are sensitive to! Citrus scents are a huge migraine trigger for me, and there are citrus notes in most perfumes, sadly. I also can’t do overly strong scents, which is why I do almost exclusively oil based roll on perfumes. They sit closer to the skin, usually, and I can sniff my arm when I want to smell the perfume 😂😂 I also find that the indie perfumers I buy from are often more likely to list citrus ingredients, and also to tell me if something contains a citrus ingredient if I ask 😊
Yes Chris, you are so correct with Creed Aventis for her. She is a screamer and go light on the trigger. However I wear Aventis for her often 😂Greatest video ever!

New York Gardenia is a recent pick up for me and I absolutely love it. I own the gardenia scent by KKW and I love and hate it at the same time. It’s too synthetic and actually quite cloying. Now that I have this one I can get rid of the KKW version😊

BR 540, Tobacco Honey, Portrait of a Lady, and Atomic Rose are among my heaviest hitters, and not a single complaint from my coworkers (yet!)🤣

Oh man I love this title, absolutely brilliant👏👏. Oud Tonka, Delina Exclusif, Hibiscus Mahajad yes💣💣. I have a travel spray of Cri du Kalahari but I haven’t worn it yet😲😲. A baobab tree looks like an upside down tree and it grows in the northern parts of SA🇿🇦, mainly Limpopo province🤩🤩. Mine would be Oud Satin Mood, Oud Bouquet, Guidance and Tubereuse Astrale💣💣. I’ve also tried Pyschdelic Love and Vanilla Powder and they blew my head off🤯🤯. Stay gorgeous🥰🥰

Calvin Klein Obsession for women totally BLASTS the room when I wear it but the men’s version smells deep, rich and sensual. 😂
Girl you are so funny! I vote for Francesca Bianchi. I’ve had , I think, five of her scents and loved them but they are so strong. Last year I just went off them and decluttered them all.
What a fantastic idea I love the heavy hitters though usually I stay home for them. For instance I'm wearing Mitsouko and I think my neighbors can smell it too! I've always been so interested in the Ella K perfumes but I'd have to test & love before I could spend for a full bottle😢

Ah, Gardina🥰 we will be getting blooms soon here in Florida. I'll pick some and float them in a bowl of water. My gosh, my entire house is engulfed for days and days! I'll try to send you some blooms😊 see if they'll survive the snail mail 😅
Oh you are SO lucky. There is only one species that is able to grow here (Zone 7). And I literally cared for those plants like they were infants and got all of 4 blooms. Tiny blooms but gorgeous. I do the same thing with the blooms. ❤️
I really love Shaghoff Tonka, I’m on my second bottle… and I’ve learned I have to go easy, because the opening is so cozy and to me very soft and airy… but this us one of the few fragrances that actually seem to get stronger in the dry down. The atomizer is very aggressive, on both bottles, as well… I also think Angel comes off as fresh, in fact it reminds me a little of Zest soap… such a beast, if I do more than one or two spritzes, (I like to lift my hair and hit the nape of my neck) it WILL CHOKE me out

Chris, regarding Gardenia fragrances, have you tried Florence from Tocca? Also, I have found many fragrances to have inauthentic florals but the best white floral fragrance I've ever tried/smelled/found is Promanade Sur Le Rocher by Grace De Monaco and is inspired by Princess Grace (Kelly)'s long walks through the flower gardens in the Palace of Monaco. It is 💯 stunning and if I were to get married, this is what I'd wear. I get a lot of compliments when I wear it, too. 💜🤟🏻
I was thinking I smelled good in my Bianco Latte, and my mom said, “what are you wearing?!” I said, “it’s Bianco Latte and it makes me feel cozy and comforted.” To which she said, “it hit me in the face like a cast iron skillet when you walked by.” Kinda dramatic, 😅but I now only spray it 3, max 5 times instead of all over like I used to. More is more, right? 😊

I love my Roja Haute Luxe, Roja 3 Royal Tobacco Amouage, Sahraa fragrance Dubois and Blue Sapphire from BTV. However, folks always complain to me that they’re to strong 🤦🏽♂️🤷🏽♂️
I would consider Guidance part of this list, but if I do 2 quick sprays, one towards the lower back of my neck, and one on forearm, tap against my other forearm, and I’m good. It does have to be cooler outside to get away with it without overwhelming those around you.

Yes. I bought it blindly years ago and decluttered. It did give me a headache. . It was way too strong (I don’t like the cubes but I love the rectangles). 😁❤️

Narciso doesn't bother me at all, but I couldn't stand Roses Vanille because it was SO overwhelmingly sweet, and BR540 and Amber Rouge make me so sick to my stomach, similar with L'eau Papier. Great video! My partner forbid me to use Crivelli tuberose astral because he couldn’t sleep. It turned out I used a bit over my hair at the morning and the smell was still way too loud for him at night 🫣
When I saw the title, I burst out laughing! Great video! This is my kind of perfume, the ones that really "show up", though I have a 5 mil sample of BDK Velvet Tonka and, oh my word, that one is loud and lasts and lasts; don't much care for it at the moment. It always seems to turn out that way when I'm not a fan of a fragrance, just can't get rid of it, LOL. I'll keep it and try it out in the dead of winter, see if that helps, but how can I not love it when it seems everyone else is raving about it? 🫤 Well, almost everyone-someone on Fragrantica said "if cough syrup was a perfume...". I don't agree with *that* sentiment, but I keep looking at the notes and telling myself that I *should* love it, but I don't (yet). Guess it really doesn't matter since I can't afford a bottle anyway. Generally, I feel like I"m getting my money's worth if a scent has good sillage and longevity, being frugal as I am. And it's not easy sometimes because I won't buy any over $50 and that limits my choices quite a bit. Thousands of fragrances are lovely, but very short-lived. Have a great week, my friend. ~Cynthia

I agree rollerball fragrances are perfect in that situation.

New York Gardenia is a recent pick up for me and I absolutely love it. I own the gardenia scent by KKW and I love and hate it at the same time. It’s too synthetic and actually quite cloying. Now that I have this one I can get rid of the KKW version😊

I’ve been stalking the polene site for the purse I want to come back in stock in black cherry 😫 Delina is def my most powerful fragrance, I don’t love a lot of florals and I think they tend to be the most powerful. Waiting for my nose to come back around to florals.

Great topic and awesome video-you nailed it! As a lover of bold scents, I bring my strong projection fragrances right into the open-concept office with me. BR 540, Tobacco Honey, Portrait of a Lady, and Atomic Rose are among my heaviest hitters, and not a single complaint from my coworkers (yet!)🤣

Oh man I love this title, absolutely brilliant👏👏. Oud Tonka, Delina Exclusif, Hibiscus Mahajad yes💣💣. I have a travel spray of Cri du Kalahari but I haven’t worn it yet😲😲. A baobab tree looks like an upside down tree and it grows in the northern parts of SA🇿🇦, mainly Limpopo province🤩🤩. Mine would be Oud Satin Mood, Oud Bouquet, Guidance and Tubereuse Astrale💣💣. I’ve also tried Pyschdelic Love and Vanilla Powder and they blew my head off🤯🤯.

Very few scents are Beast mode imo. Youth Dew and Clinique Aromatics are the only two I know - nothing else seems to have their staying power.

Oh you are SO lucky. There is only one species that is able to grow here (Zone 7). And I literally cared for those plants like they were infants and got all of 4 blooms. Tiny blooms but gorgeous. I do the same thing with the blooms. ❤️
I really love Shaghoff Tonka, I’m on my second bottle… and I’ve learned I have to go easy, because the opening is so cozy and to me very soft and airy… but this us one of the few fragrances that actually seem to get stronger in the dry down. The atomizer is very aggressive, on both bottles, as well…
I also think Angel comes off as fresh, in fact it reminds me a little of Zest soap… such a beast, if I do more than one or two spritzes, (I like to lift my hair and hit the nape of my neck) it WILL CHOKE me out

Chris, regarding Gardenia fragrances, have you tried Florence from Tocca?
Also, I have found many fragrances to have inauthentic florals but the best white floral fragrance I've ever tried/smelled/found is Promanade Sur Le Rocher by Grace De Monaco and is inspired by Princess Grace (Kelly)'s long walks through the flower gardens in the Palace of Monaco. It is 💯 stunning and if I were to get married, this is what I'd wear.
I get a lot of compliments when I wear it, too. 💜🤟🏻

Narciso doesn't bother me at all, but I couldn't stand Roses Vanille because it was SO overwhelmingly sweet, and BR540 and Amber Rouge make me so sick to my stomach, similar with L'eau Papier. Well, Paco Rabanne Ultra Male is just atomic on me i usually spray on the air and walk in to. Thats the only way i can get away wearing it indoors.

Yes I find it incredibly strong also! I’m usually an under sprayer so I’m glad I haven’t overdone Valaya otherwise it would be too much for me also.

When I saw the title, I burst out laughing! Great video! This is my kind of perfume, the ones that really "show up", though I have a 5 mil sample of BDK Velvet Tonka and, oh my word, that one is loud and lasts and lasts; don't much care for it at the moment. It always seems to turn out that way when I'm not a fan of a fragrance, just can't get rid of it, LOL. I'll keep it and try it out in the dead of winter, see if that helps, but how can I not love it when it seems everyone else is raving about it? 🫤 Well, almost everyone-someone on Fragrantica said "if cough syrup was a perfume...". I don't agree with *that* sentiment, but I keep looking at the notes and telling myself that I *should* love it, but I don't (yet). Guess it really doesn't matter since I can't afford a bottle anyway. Generally, I feel like I"m getting my money's worth if a scent has good sillage and longevity, being frugal as I am. And it's not easy sometimes because I won't buy any over $50 and that limits my choices quite a bit. Thousands of fragrances are lovely, but very short-lived. Have a great week, my friend. ~Cynthia
