My main issue with Marionette and Adrien is the fact that Marionette doesn't like chat noir. She finds him annoying and usually puts him down. If she doesn't like chat she _wont_ like Adrien, since that's essentially the part of his personality he never gets to show since he's put on such a high pedestal in real life being a model.
What you're saying is indeed very true and I never thought about it that way, however I don't see it that way. She's recognized that CN is very sweet, romantic and somebody she can put all her trust in despite the small conflicts they have here and there (like in any other relationship). The reason she's more "rude" towards CN and more passive next to Adrien is because Marinette is obsessed and idolizes Adrien (you're not gonna be your true self next to your idol entirely, you'll unconsciously change yourself a bit in order to seem more likable to them), but on the flip side she can be herself next to CN and share both the good and the bad. If she HATED or DIDN'T LIKE CN she wouldn't have gotten as personal as she's gotten with him given the context of their relationship (she can't be too personal in order to conceal her identity, but she still has shared details of her life with him). The ONLY reason she hasn't fell for him (in my opinion) is simply because she's staying loyal to Adrien, the same way Adrien is staying loyal to Ladybug
Mhm! She seems to like Chat Noir as a partner, but when she compares him and Adrien, she says that Adrien is ten million times better. Sometimes Ladybug can be really mean to him, and people still flip out over the fact that Kagami called Adrien a clown for posing as a cat, saying she’s rude and she doesn’t deserve Adrien, but Marinette likes Adrien, the one she sees, better than Chat Noir.
Exactly why she needs to open her eyes and realize that adrien isn’t the perfect, naive, boy she puts on a pedestal. Adrien is a dork who likes to joke around and play a lot, she needs to wake up from her fantasy and see him for who he really is. Also in s4 ladybug does confess that she actually LIKES chat noir’s humor so 👀 idk that’s a win to me.
I can’t tell you how depressed this makes me. The show had SO much potential. I fell in love almost immediately with miraculous because of the premise and characters. However over time the show drastically dropped in quality and I find myself wishing this 2d super hero show with an interesting premise (and complex romance plot) . It could have been something like teen Titans! Yes, a kids show but with darker themes and ideas that adults can watch as well. It could have been so much more and I’m sad that I’ve basically given up on it at this point
Seriously. 2d has so much more potential. Hurts even more when you know just how much miraculous is based off spider man.... like there are so many 2d animated spider man cartoons with similar complexity in designs to miraculous
I sadly cannot give you a complex romance plot, however i can give you a 2d superhero show that has interesting character designs, a fun premise, that's made for children THAT CAN ALSO deal with more mature subject matters. (Such as grieving over a lost one) You might have already watched it, i dont know. It's called HeartCatch Precure! If you want any info on the show just comment :D It even has a movie based in Paris.

@@Rjarmy35 exactly, it was great a few years ago, the exiting part was waiting for the big reveal between ladybug and cat noir and for the ship adrienette to sail but its just the same stuff over and over again, like... they find out eachothers identies multiple times but it never sticks to the storyline, with them somehow losing their memories of it or going back in time, so it's not that exciting anymore

I FINALLY understood why Adrien is THIS DENSE. Hear me out: 1. He has just lost his MOM, the only one who actually gave him LOVE AND AFFECTION. 2. His Father, som1 WHO IS SUPPOSED TO FILL THAT GAP is aloof from him completely 3. His friends, ppl who he thinks r filling that gap IS KEPT ALOOF FROM HIM. You should realise he is still A TEENAGER. This is a time whr he needs attention, love and affection the most. He is definitely hurt by this treatment but he doesn't want it to affect him. So he creates this barrier around him, keeping all the feelings of frustration and sadness inside him. But the barrier is too thick for other emotions to enter. Also he lacks d basic social skills to read ppl's emotions and feelings due to him being shut from the outside world for a quite a long time. The whole 3 seasons r happening within a span of 6 months(?) . U can't expect som1 to learn social skills (which takes years of experience) within such a short time without any mentor or guide (which he does not have). *In short, Adrien is neither taught the skills nor is he given a chance to test it himself.* So v all gotta cut a lot of slack of this guy's behaviour problems cuz he isn't responsible for it. P.S. WRITERS PLS MAKE S4 FROM ADRIEN'S POV BCZ D POOR DUDE DESERVES MORE.
I also want them to not treat the charters like idiots! There should be explicit mention in the lore that the miraculous magic grants a spell when in use so that they can’t recognize them! Not implied!
maybe the sacrifice is Nathalie? like she dies in the hospital because gabriel made the wish. there's an implied relationship between the two of them and gabriel gives that up to bring back his wife.
Sacrificing Nathalie would say that she's always been an important person to Gabriel, which I don't agree with as Gabriel has hidden his true motives which have precedence in his life the day his wife died. In this version, I'd have it to where she is basically the manifestation of Gabriel's complete disconnection with Adrian. Like, ok, season 2 is when Natalie is sus of being Hawk Moth, right? Well, I also think there should be no contact between Gabriel and Adrian, bc Gabriel is focused on the company, but really is reminded of Emile. Maybe he eventually stopped looking at Adrian bc he grew up with her features? Whatever the case, Natalie is how the two communicate. She would serve as his authority since he can't be around Adrian, an extra part of him that won't be caught up in the drama. To even visit her would show that he places her in high regard, whereas this Gabriel would see her as another trifle in the way of his end goal bc he now must find another form of discreetly watching his son. A son who takes after his mother. And since Gabriel must have someone to attend to Adrien, he shelves more responsibilities onto Felix, which will put emphasis on Felix's suspicion in season 3. Now you have a father struggling with a version of Emile in the form of his son and Adrien struggling to become closer with the father who has put all the pressure he releases as Chat Noir. Maybe some resentment and abandonment issues, definitely Gabriel and Adrien slowly becoming closer and the two feeling guilt for their own reasons (i.e. resentment, the whole Miraculous stealing plot, etc.). So the reveal HITS. In the end, I would like for Gabriel and Adrien to be seen visiting Nathalie w Felix and Gorilla in her hospital room to show that Gabriel is finally looking to the future. Even if he can never truly stop wishing for Emile to come back, he has his company and Adrien. And maybe Nathalie and Adrien have grown close bc he spent so much of his time wanting a relationship with his father, he came to admire Nathalie's presence and has already accepted her as a form of guardian/parental figure (Maybe between seasons 1 and 2). I especially cant believe that Gabriel would take years of wishing for his wife to return to push or act on any form of relationship with Nathalie immediately.
I know lots of people say MLB won't really influence how kids act but I know for a fact that I got a lot of my bad behaviors as a child from the shows I watched. I grew out of them, but it took time.
@@giovanac4820 I didn't watch MLB as a kid, but I did watch lots of Disney channel shows (Jessie was a big one) so I became sassy and rude because I thought it was funny/I was smarter then the adults, because that's what the kids in those shows were like. I think MLB could have lots of negative impacts, such as obsessive behaviors with crushes and not taking no for an answer.
Same I watches like veggie tales and Mr Rodgers stuff like that but when we moved in with my siblings dad I started watching Jessie and Ant Farm and ICarly and stuff and it made me think that it was ok to act like that
I literally dropped miraculous for a whole year because of the stupid slow burn lack of lore and repetitive fighting that 90% of the time had no further plot to the story I really like miraculous but the fact that there’s was no lore until like maybe season four, SEASON FOUR that’s crazy we had to wait almost 5 years maybe four to get an actual lore and that’s not even a good one I just wish the writers would actually take time to world build
we had to wait entire season to find out the freaking origin story and they didnt even tell us it's the origin story, do you know how confused i was when i wasa watching it for the first time like, why are they so different, why dont they ahve miraculouses, why is adrien not going to school etc
The lore was actually established in the new york comic but it was barely looked upon in depth. We only know how kwamis are born and it was said that the miraculous jewels were made by an ancient sorcerer..? Greek mythology also plays a big part in the origins according to thomas and you can look at concept arts on his twitter but thats legit the only piece of information we’re provided

With Lila, you're supposed to hate her. That's why her character is around. She's very obviously a villain. With Chloe, they couldn't decide what the heck they were trying to do, so they made her bad, bad, bad, kinda good, better, almost there... bad again for no... reason. Okay. And with Marinette... she's just creepy and downright mean a lot, but she's the hero so we're supposed to love her unconditionally. Which, many of us don't.
Yeah i started watch the show when I was 11, I was a huge fan and then a few months after idky maybe puberty hit me, I dropped that show, I cringed so much at the thought of it
This ain't even a slow burn, it's just a tiny candle flame which refuses to grow in size. Slow burns are rewarding when there's actual progression in the relationship, not like how Miraculous does it by shoehorning every single character they can think of to reiterate that "they are meant for each other".
I think that there should be a mentor student relationship between Marinette and Gabriel. So when they discover that he’s Hawkmoth it affects her. This is just a thought.💭
This is a good idea as she is really into clothes design, and even in the original show Gabriel acknowledged that she has potential (like with the feather hat). So I really think that that's good af
Honestly, this idea sounds extremely good. For how much (despite how Thomas keeps trying to say they are both important) Lady Bug is the star of the show, she really has next to zero connection to the main villain besides him being her crush's father. This would definitively add that bit that would make the reveal a personal hit for her as well.
This would also give her more of a reason to like Adrien than just giving he an umbrella or however they met, it's been a while since I watched the show. And it would also develope the rivalry between her and Chloe, Marinette jealous that Chloe knew him since childhood and Chloe jealous that Marinette spends time with Adrien out side of school etc etc (Also Chloe's inner insecurities, that is bullying 101). But then they both have to get over the fact that they're both Adrien's friend and care about him. Chloe can still be petty but with a understanding or respect, (whatever people with rival friends have idk for) Marinette.

One frustration I have was that Marinette who couldn't even bring herself to talk to Adrien much less flirt with him had no qualms about sabotaging Kagami's attempts. Like if you can't do anything yourself fine but don't mess up other people's chances when they are sure of themselves. Seriously, she's a superhero, a role model for society, where is her integrity???

Honestly, if not being able to animate Ladybugs costume was the reason it’s a bit ridiculous cause they had so many other options, and considering all the other anime I’ve watched, they seem to be perfectly fine with the character designs, they had no issues at all sooo yeah....like spots! I’ve seen way harder designs on 2d characters...if money was the problem then okay I guess but I mean isn’t CGI expensive? Lol I have no clue...🥲

I would have the girls upgrade at some point. BUT, I had an idea for a bit of Astruc salt. So, in like a rebooted version of the show, the other three heroes get their powers from Fu. Rena and Carapace are okay with their outfits, since they’re flexible enough for them to work with them. Bee, however, ISN’T. After she transforms, she freaks out when she realised that the suit is skintight. She tries to find a blanket or something to wrap around her waist to deflect attention away from herself, but can’t find anything. After some blunders in trying to figure out what kind of superpowers she has, her and Cat Noir cross paths. So, the two are walking along the rooftops, and Cat decides to ask her what her powers are. He goes to: and sees Bee trying to hide behind chimneys and stuff. “Uh, what are you doing?” “Preserving my dignity, that’s what.” “Okay, you DO realise we’re on the rooftops, right? What are the chances of someone seeing you?” “Oh, that’s easy for you to say! You made the smart choice. You went with leather.” “What are you talking about?” “I’m a girl running around Paris in a skintight onesie. What do you think? The last thing I need is some creep plastering indecent pictures of me all over the Internet.” Edit: Oh, btw, I would have each hero unlock a new outfit along with new abilities as they become more apt at using their powers. For Bee, I would give her wings, a leather suit, fur around her collar (because c’mon bumblebees are FLOOFY people!) and turn those sunglasses of hers into sleek, aerodynamic goggles when she transforms (what? It’s not like she ever uses them! I’m giving them PURPOSE!)

“it’s just a kids show” like okay???? that doesn’t mean it needs to be badly written?? just because kids watch it doesn’t mean they can’t handle or comprehend good writing and plots. sailor moon and cardcaptor sakura are both kid shows in japan, but they both have such good writing and plot that is loved by more than just kids. and they’re not super repetitive despite transforming and fighting monsters every episode. the mlb writers need to take some notes from those shows i think lmaooo P.S‼️that doesn’t mean mlb needs to actually become more mature like the sailor moon & cardcaptor sakura! those two shows were used as an example since they have the similarities of a “magical girl fighting to save the day” and have other similar plot lines that are geared towards a younger audience. the mlb writers should simply take notes from those two shows and how to properly execute the magical girl plot, but everything doesn’t have to be the same obviously.

the last avatar is probably the best example. it’s strictly aimed towards young children but they still allowed the story to have amazing writing with impressive character and plot development.
It being a children's show is never a viable excuse. Think about older shows like Ben 10, Danny Phantom, Generator Rex and Avatar. They were children shows but I would prefer them to show targeted at my age. Even some shows now, She-ra, Trolllhunters, and Gravity falls. They are all children's show, but they have all good storylines, good character arcs, etc.
Miraculous Ladybug is a BAD children's show if it is one... The way these characters act *cough* Marinette *cough* is toxic, and it's just a bad example to kids on how to actually be a good friend, or have some dignity around someone you find attractive and not be pathetic, etc... Really wish the writers would listen.
Avatar : The Last Airbender is an freaking masterpiece! It tells in very suble way of political things, psychology, racism and etc. And it's an eye candy too, there's slight romance plot as well and the characters are so lovable. The writers really did their research on psychology cuz the lie-detector, Toph Beifong couldn't tell the clear lie of Azula. I really liked the tragedy in the show of Natalie liking Adrian's father, but him being to obsessed with his wife to see it. So I think it would be interesting to have her be the sacrifice, and the only way to change that is to defeat the god and neutralize the wish.
At this point, Thomas is ridiculing his audience, because he is creating content that isn't good and just doesn't make sense "because it's for kids." He himself knows that a lot of his audience is made of teenagers and even young adults, but he still gets upset when someone criticizes the current situation of the show, it's pretty sad.
I'm not sure if this was a rumor or not, but the writers have said that they acknowledged that the age group is much older than intended, so season 4 and 5 will have episodes like Chat Blanc (where's there are deeper plot points n stuff).
I think it is because they have many clients and they ask for different things and for that reason, Thomas is not the only one who works on the series, lol, there are many others and they make changes thinking how it can bother each client they have(like When they censor, they delete scenes), has and even Thomas is bothered by some things and they do somethings he doesn't see it as canon, like the scenes from Marinette's diary for example I would like them to take a much more mature audience and make it into just a comic for adults and explore more topics, but it will not happen for sure so go back to my corner to dream
@@vilamayie5393 that's definitely part of the issue. The Zag company is pretty disorganized. And miraculous is all over the place, from disney channel, Nickelodeon, Netflix, and a bunch of other random channels. I understand it's probably because they are a pretty new company compared to other animation studios, and when miraculous first started they only had like 3 months to work on it with a low budget. But it's definitely still frustrating for the audience. Especially when you grew up with it. A lot happens in 6 years. I saw another comment refer to it as like a toxic relationship that you can't get out of. You keep leaving it, just to come back with hope of it getting better.
The thing is Adrien has his own issues as of right now. Like the whole thing with his mom, being neglected by his dad, the fact that he was isolated from people his own age for along time before being allowed to go to school. Like how can Adrien be their emotionally for Mari when he has his own emotional baggage to deal with. Maybe they could be their for each other?
I don't think that Mari or Adrian should date anyone. Because to me, I feel like if I was a Hero I would want to stop hawkmoth first before try to date someone. And if I had my way I would have Them both try to not like each other because of hawkmoth but ended up liking each other anyway.
Y'know what oneday I'll gather a large amount of the MLB fandom and just rewrite, reanimate the freaking show because we could do a better then what MLB could ever be

Im planning to do a non canon miraculous re-write where i make the story interesting even if it is a "kids show" like thomas says. In my one chat noir gets respect and i add more background to lila (ill admit lila is one of my fav antagonists of the show, but even i can admit you cant really define lila aside from her being a liar. So in my re-write we delve more deep into her life and why she ends up as a liar in her school.)
I'm working on my own AU with my own characters, changing some concepts and adding my own stuff in terms of lore. I'm making it much darker than Miraculous. I have everything in the first arc planned out, but I'm still trying to figure out how I want to start the beginning of the story.
You never know with the power of the internet :) i mean, there's literally a girl animating Sasuke Retsuden by herself(as far as i know). It would be hard to animate her plot, but not impossible, who knows :D
This show is so irredeemable now. Three seasons in and Marinettes still a creepy stalker toward him? I would’ve LOVED to see her calm down and have a normal crush on him, but it’s way too late now. Not to mention how sexist and racist it is (pls see videos on it, they say great points)
What also pisses me off is that Thomas is like “obviously kids will know this is wrong” (talking about something either sexist or racist, can’t remember) and it’s not like younger kids can automatically tell the difference between things that are right and wrong, other than things that are obviously right or wrong. He expects the wrong things. It’s annoying.

I wanted adrien to be the main character....bcuz most of the things are related with him like his father is hawkmoth, his mother is in coma and she was the ex holder of that peacock, natalie, etc...those writers didnt really keep anything for marienette's side when she is the main character here
I read somewhere that that's exactly why he can't be. Apparently the show will end when Adrien figures they out. Now, I know what you're thinking: he didn't have to figure it out immediately. Focus on other aspects: his attempts to get some freedom, talk with his bodyguard about his thoughts, sneak away from his tutors for cat noir time. Drops hints he's forced to let go for the sake of his own secrets. Have an arc about his trust for Gabriel and Natalie, find Fu and learn more about his own powers. People question his sudden love of Camembert and almost find him out. So many separate arcs... That apparently would all individually end in him finding Gabriel out. Astruc simply shouldn't be in charge. Even that last one could be a good arc. Imagine: he finds Gabriel out first, but because it's his own father he can't bring himself to tell Ladybug or confront him himself. People noticed his sudden depression and Gabriel tries to help him with it, but Adrien knows he can't tell his own father that they are sworn enemies. Ladybug tries to help, but Cat closes himself off in his grief and maybe even takes off for a bit. Their performance suffers because of it. Then ladybug and Hawkmoth put together at the same time Cat Noire's identity but Hawkmoth has some context that Ladybug doesn't and realizes why Adrien's emotions have been so dark. Hawkmoth has a crises about his desire to revive Emily vs his desire to not fight their son, questioning rather Emily would hate him for going to far or if he could still salvage it. Marinette meanwhile, reveals her identity to Adrien and they have a touching moment that drives their new relationship. This could stretch on a couple more seasons with a new dynamic in which Hawkmoth desperately tries to sway Cat and the team come to realize what has their cat so down, but initially reject it only coming to terms when they hear it out of Cat's own mouth. This in turn leads to the fanali.
i always find it funny when people bring up “it’s for kids” as an excuse for huge plot holes, bc when cons were still a thing and i sold art at them, kids were almost unanimously the ones who would come up to me and bring up those huge plot holes! they were always really annoyed with those holes too! they’re much smarter than show runners give them credit for and honestly show runners should stop using them as an excuse for just not writing well 😂 edit: now that i think about it too, if this series were really about kids’ entertainment, why is there so much romance at all, and so heavily... when kids have brought up the series to me, or just any kid series, they always talk about how stupid romance plots are and they just want everyone to be friends, y’know, like kids???? i’ve even gotten kids that get mad at me seeing posters i drew for “romantic” (ie just gazing intensely at each other holding hands) versions of their faves saying i “ruined them” by making it romantic 😂 so it’s pretty obvious to me these intense love squares don’t even appeal to the kid demographic, yet they put them anyways?? it’s almost like... they know older demographics like the series too and are trying to appeal to them, yet use the “it’s for kids” excuse as a scapegoat... 🤔
Don't want to compare shows but Avatar the last Airbender and the Legend of Korra are also kids shows (the latter being geared towards teenagers but still). They were fully intended for kids on a kids network but the main difference between these shows and Miraculous is the better writing. More realistic romance, character development, villains, lessons, etc were done so much better in ATLA and LOK. Miraculous Ladybug could be a much better show if the writers were actually consistent with continuity in the story and wrote the characters better

I would've made Marinette in her normal attire have black hair and grey/brown eyes while in her lady outfit she would have blueish hair and bluebell eyes. I also would have age them up to be freshman in highschool. And for Marinette to have a cute crush on him not no stalker type stuff

I won’t bog you down with my fangirling, but I do strongly recommend them lol. Infinity Train is an anthology series of people who get trapped in this alternate dimension or sumth, Hilda is a beautiful episodic fantasy with a real cozy atmosphere, and The Dragon Prince is like ATLA but if the relationships were fleshed out more and it had elves. I feel like this show is getting very repetitive and boring because it came to the point where it lacks plot completely and is getting really really repetitive and dry...There is no more originality, the same idea of the akuma and the love square is completely overused...Your ideas have more plots and actions, the story moves in multiple directions and makes me love it A LOT!
The show was aimed for 6 and up y/o kids. They really didn't pay any mind to the plot because they weren't expecting the audience to consists of teens and adults LMAO. I'm not sure if this was confirmed or not, but season 4 and 5 will be getting deeper episodes because the writers acknowledged the audience's age group.
I've been saying this for a year now. I stopped watching around Season 3 because it was soo repetitive. I don't see any character progression in anyone and the action is nothing interesting.

I totally agree about Marinette’s obsession with Adrien. She has to realize that he’s not perfect and “how cute he is” and stuff, and actually get to KNOW him. I mean, they’re friends, but his actual personality. She doesn’t get a chance to actually get to know him because she always has to go crazy when near him. Like.. being shy I front of your crush is fine. But not like THAT. That’s why I really like Marichat. Everyone always thinks of Adrien as perfect, especially Marinette. He always has to act perfect. But as Chat Noir, he can be his true self and be free to do whatever he wants. He can be as wild as he pleases with no one to tell him what to do. Freedom. Omg yes. Just load the poor dense cinnamon roll with so much emotion. The scene should have music that just keeps climbing and when Gabriel makes his wish and wish is being done we just see nurses at the hospital dropping their sh*t and panicking while hearing the no heartbeat sound and then everything goes quiet. Adrian looks up and see’s his mom and Gabriel should have some sort of fatigue so he looks tired but so happy to see his wife and to make it so the god of pain doesn’t figure out who cat noire and ladybug are, the god of pain passes out on Gabriel after reaching out for Gabriel after Gabriel calls for his wife. Omg ok now when Adrian gets to ninos place he gets a call from either the hospital or his father, for emotional reason his father. They can have a fight adrien will be all like « dad I don’t want to talk » and Gabriel goes « it’s about Nathalie ». Ok now adrien gets a nightmare that everything he thought was real is fake like his moms death, lady bug, his dad all that and everyone’s leaving him too like Nathalie and plague (well plague didn’t die or leave him but he became a cat again and cats have short lives and all so adrien starts overthinking making up for being so dense his whole life). We have to butcher this child mentally to grow he mlb fan base and send him more love. Anyway, now he calls marionette to talk over the phone. I will help animate this if someone else wants to help create new characters with me, get the legal stuff done and find more artists.
Here's the thing about Lyla in MLB, it's not that *she's* awful, although she is, it's the fact that literally everyone *around* her turns awful. I wanted to scream when Lyla got Marinette expelled. It wasn't because Marinette did something that Lyla could skew into a some evil scheme towards her, it was because of baseless evidence, ignorant authorities, and absence of common sense & simple knowledge. Lyla is a terrible liar and yet the principal and everyone around her simply believed her. I hated it and it was awful. And her excuse? That she had a disorder that made her say cruel things? Yeah, great sob story but you can't not tell the school about that! If it's to the point where it's affecting those around her and in turn could lead to the expulsion of a student, you *need* to inform authorities you fool. Anyways, thanks for coming to my Ted talk.

Especially Marichat cuz they are both in love with someone and kinda see each other /if we assume they kinda like each other/ as the second option because their loved one loves someone else /as far as they know/ so they can bond over that and maybe not fall for each other, but have a reliable friend they can always relate to
At this point I'm lowkey glad they haven't or barely touched Marichat because I guarantee you the show would find some way to mess up that dynamic too.
I get that they’re doing Adrienette because at the end of the day that’s their true identities, but as agree that it gets old. I think what’s wrong with it is the constant retcon of Marinette’s communication issues and stalking. She “learns” and gets better by the end of an episode, and then goes right back to the start by the next one.
I really wish it was more like of a teen show bcs then teens can "relate" to what its happening in the show. Like falling in love with someone who alvays says "shes just a friend" like the teens can be "yea thats me" "that was me". The little kids xant really understand the love triangle more than a triangle thing
i dont mind it being a kids show as there are a lot other kid shows that are handled well. like when i was younger i didnt care for plot heavy shows like avatar or winx but i grew up to really appreciate them (which is what all kid shows should be doing). i find shows that are targeted towards teens more unsatisfying as they usually try too hard to be “dark” or edgy and like to oversexualise highschoolers. it would’ve been better off as an anime tbh
@@Luuni100 exactly thay is why the story needs to be balanced! Not heavy like most teens shows, and yet not overly simple, add complexity with some characters, Add depth, and personnality. Also we need a better world/background building reguarding the guardians of the miraculouses. Also i would like the MC to undergo training, as in not knowing how to really fight right away which add more stuggles to their fighting scenes.

@@lillysparrow I think around season 3 where she slowly tries to get over Adrien once she realizes he likes Kagami (another girl aka ladybug) So Marrinnete starts trying to see Luca as a possible love interest, but anyway it was meaningless because she went right back to loving him in the movie, there was legit no development, now we still have an Adrien obsessed Marrinete only now she has more responsibilities as the guardian. So they ruined her chance of a proper development, I’m not sure how it is with Adrien though, he truly is making an effort to forget about Ladybug and move on to Kagami, so maybe something interesting will happen with him.
tbh i lost interest after they debunked chloe's character. she honestly had one of the best character developments in the show (actually maybe the only character development? i'm still keeping up but it's not like marinette or adrien, alya, nino are getting any better than the good characters they already are and honestly marinette's whole infatuation is getting a little stalker-ish to watch) ofc i disliked chloe in the beginning but at least she's shown different sides that ultimately lead her to be queen bee (who btw prolly i'm biased but queen bee has the best outfit and transformation i stand by this) and then they just took that away from her 😕the pace of this show is getting too flat, hopefully the new season will be better.
The way the writers handled her character development disappointed me so much. When I found out she was getting a miraculous I got soo excited because I expected for her to earn it, at least with ONE act of kindness and then slowly and stubbornly change for the better. But noo, it fell and she got it. It was ridiculous. The Despair bear episode is nothing compared to the whole arc she could have had. There was so much potential for Chloe but the writers ruined it. They were so incredibly lazy with how they handled her arc and with that I never expected much from Miraculous.

This sounds so much better! I physically am unable to sit through an entire episode, they are all super repetitive and frustrating. I either skip through to the important parts, or I’ll just watch the episodes with important plot points. This show deserves so much better!

My main issue with Marionette and Adrien is the fact that Marionette doesn't like chat noir. She finds him annoying and usually puts him down. If she doesn't like chat she _wont_ like Adrien, since that's essentially the part of his personality he never gets to show since he's put on such a high pedestal in real life being a model.
What you're saying is indeed very true and I never thought about it that way, however I don't see it that way. She's recognized that CN is very sweet, romantic and somebody she can put all her trust in despite the small conflicts they have here and there (like in any other relationship). The reason she's more "rude" towards CN and more passive next to Adrien is because Marinette is obsessed and idolizes Adrien (you're not gonna be your true self next to your idol entirely, you'll unconsciously change yourself a bit in order to seem more likable to them), but on the flip side she can be herself next to CN and share both the good and the bad. If she HATED or DIDN'T LIKE CN she wouldn't have gotten as personal as she's gotten with him given the context of their relationship (she can't be too personal in order to conceal her identity, but she still has shared details of her life with him).
The ONLY reason she hasn't fell for him (in my opinion) is simply because she's staying loyal to Adrien, the same way Adrien is staying loyal to Ladybug
that was the case in earlier seasons, but if you watch one of the new season 4 episodes (truth) ladybug says she likes cat noir’s humor the most
Mhm! She seems to like Chat Noir as a partner, but when she compares him and Adrien, she says that Adrien is ten million times better. Sometimes Ladybug can be really mean to him, and people still flip out over the fact that Kagami called Adrien a clown for posing as a cat, saying she’s rude and she doesn’t deserve Adrien, but Marinette likes Adrien, the one she sees, better than Chat Noir.
Exactly why she needs to open her eyes and realize that adrien isn’t the perfect, naive, boy she puts on a pedestal. Adrien is a dork who likes to joke around and play a lot, she needs to wake up from her fantasy and see him for who he really is. Also in s4 ladybug does confess that she actually LIKES chat noir’s humor so 👀 idk that’s a win to me.

I can’t tell you how depressed this makes me. The show had SO much potential. I fell in love almost immediately with miraculous because of the premise and characters. However over time the show drastically dropped in quality and I find myself wishing this 2d super hero show with an interesting premise (and complex romance plot) . It could have been something like teen Titans! Yes, a kids show but with darker themes and ideas that adults can watch as well. It could have been so much more and I’m sad that I’ve basically given up on it at this point

I FINALLY understood why Adrien is THIS DENSE. Hear me out:
1. He has just lost his MOM, the only one who actually gave him LOVE AND AFFECTION.
2. His Father, som1 WHO IS SUPPOSED TO FILL THAT GAP is aloof from him completely
3. His friends, ppl who he thinks r filling that gap IS KEPT ALOOF FROM HIM.
You should realise he is still A TEENAGER. This is a time whr he needs attention, love and affection the most. He is definitely hurt by this treatment but he doesn't want it to affect him. So he creates this barrier around him, keeping all the feelings of frustration and sadness inside him. But the barrier is too thick for other emotions to enter.
Also he lacks d basic social skills to read ppl's emotions and feelings due to him being shut from the outside world for a quite a long time. The whole 3 seasons r happening within a span of 6 months(?) . U can't expect som1 to learn social skills (which takes years of experience) within such a short time without any mentor or guide (which he does not have).
*In short, Adrien is neither taught the skills nor is he given a chance to test it himself.*
So v all gotta cut a lot of slack of this guy's behaviour problems cuz he isn't responsible for it.

Sacrificing Nathalie would say that she's always been an important person to Gabriel, which I don't agree with as Gabriel has hidden his true motives which have precedence in his life the day his wife died. In this version, I'd have it to where she is basically the manifestation of Gabriel's complete disconnection with Adrian. Like, ok, season 2 is when Natalie is sus of being Hawk Moth, right? Well, I also think there should be no contact between Gabriel and Adrian, bc Gabriel is focused on the company, but really is reminded of Emile. Maybe he eventually stopped looking at Adrian bc he grew up with her features? Whatever the case, Natalie is how the two communicate. She would serve as his authority since he can't be around Adrian, an extra part of him that won't be caught up in the drama.
To even visit her would show that he places her in high regard, whereas this Gabriel would see her as another trifle in the way of his end goal bc he now must find another form of discreetly watching his son. A son who takes after his mother. And since Gabriel must have someone to attend to Adrien, he shelves more responsibilities onto Felix, which will put emphasis on Felix's suspicion in season 3. Now you have a father struggling with a version of Emile in the form of his son and Adrien struggling to become closer with the father who has put all the pressure he releases as Chat Noir. Maybe some resentment and abandonment issues, definitely Gabriel and Adrien slowly becoming closer and the two feeling guilt for their own reasons (i.e. resentment, the whole Miraculous stealing plot, etc.). So the reveal HITS.
In the end, I would like for Gabriel and Adrien to be seen visiting Nathalie w Felix and Gorilla in her hospital room to show that Gabriel is finally looking to the future. Even if he can never truly stop wishing for Emile to come back, he has his company and Adrien. And maybe Nathalie and Adrien have grown close bc he spent so much of his time wanting a relationship with his father, he came to admire Nathalie's presence and has already accepted her as a form of guardian/parental figure (Maybe between seasons 1 and 2). I especially cant believe that Gabriel would take years of wishing for his wife to return to push or act on any form of relationship with Nathalie immediately.
I know lots of people say MLB won't really influence how kids act but I know for a fact that I got a lot of my bad behaviors as a child from the shows I watched. I grew out of them, but it took time.

The lore was actually established in the new york comic but it was barely looked upon in depth. We only know how kwamis are born and it was said that the miraculous jewels were made by an ancient sorcerer..? Greek mythology also plays a big part in the origins according to thomas and you can look at concept arts on his twitter but thats legit the only piece of information we’re provided

With Lila, you're supposed to hate her. That's why her character is around. She's very obviously a villain. With Chloe, they couldn't decide what the heck they were trying to do, so they made her bad, bad, bad, kinda good, better, almost there... bad again for no... reason. Okay. And with Marinette... she's just creepy and downright mean a lot, but she's the hero so we're supposed to love her unconditionally. Which, many of us don't.

This ain't even a slow burn, it's just a tiny candle flame which refuses to grow in size. Slow burns are rewarding when there's actual progression in the relationship, not like how Miraculous does it by shoehorning every single character they can think of to reiterate that "they are meant for each other".
I think that there should be a mentor student relationship between Marinette and Gabriel. So when they discover that he’s Hawkmoth it affects her. This is just a thought.💭

Honestly, this idea sounds extremely good. For how much (despite how Thomas keeps trying to say they are both important) Lady Bug is the star of the show, she really has next to zero connection to the main villain besides him being her crush's father. This would definitively add that bit that would make the reveal a personal hit for her as well.
This would also give her more of a reason to like Adrien than just giving he an umbrella or however they met, it's been a while since I watched the show.
And it would also develope the rivalry between her and Chloe, Marinette jealous that Chloe knew him since childhood and Chloe jealous that Marinette spends time with Adrien out side of school etc etc (Also Chloe's inner insecurities, that is bullying 101).
But then they both have to get over the fact that they're both Adrien's friend and care about him. Chloe can still be petty but with a understanding or respect, (whatever people with rival friends have idk for) Marinette.

I would have the girls upgrade at some point. BUT, I had an idea for a bit of Astruc salt. So, in like a rebooted version of the show, the other three heroes get their powers from Fu. Rena and Carapace are okay with their outfits, since they’re flexible enough for them to work with them. Bee, however, ISN’T. After she transforms, she freaks out when she realised that the suit is skintight. She tries to find a blanket or something to wrap around her waist to deflect attention away from herself, but can’t find anything. After some blunders in trying to figure out what kind of superpowers she has, her and Cat Noir cross paths.
So, the two are walking along the rooftops, and Cat decides to ask her what her powers are. He goes to: and sees Bee trying to hide behind chimneys and stuff. “Uh, what are you doing?”
“Preserving my dignity, that’s what.”
“Okay, you DO realise we’re on the rooftops, right? What are the chances of someone seeing you?”
“Oh, that’s easy for you to say! You made the smart choice. You went with leather.”

Edit: Oh, btw, I would have each hero unlock a new outfit along with new abilities as they become more apt at using their powers. For Bee, I would give her wings, a leather suit, fur around her collar (because c’mon bumblebees are FLOOFY people!) and turn those sunglasses of hers into sleek, aerodynamic goggles when she transforms (what? It’s not like she ever uses them! I’m giving them PURPOSE!)

It being a children's show is never a viable excuse. Think about older shows like Ben 10, Danny Phantom, Generator Rex and Avatar. They were children shows but I would prefer them to show targeted at my age. Even some shows now, She-ra, Trolllhunters, and Gravity falls. They are all children's show, but they have all good storylines, good character arcs, etc.
Miraculous Ladybug is a BAD children's show if it is one... The way these characters act *cough* Marinette *cough* is toxic, and it's just a bad example to kids on how to actually be a good friend, or have some dignity around someone you find attractive and not be pathetic, etc... Really wish the writers would listen.

The writers really did their research on psychology cuz the lie-detector, Toph Beifong couldn't tell the clear lie of Azula. It tells that pathological liars can lie without a tint of fear, nervousness.

At this point, Thomas is ridiculing his audience, because he is creating content that isn't good and just doesn't make sense "because it's for kids." He himself knows that a lot of his audience is made of teenagers and even young adults, but he still gets upset when someone criticizes the current situation of the show, it's pretty sad.
I'm not sure if this was a rumor or not, but the writers have said that they acknowledged that the age group is much older than intended, so season 4 and 5 will have episodes like Chat Blanc (where's there are deeper plot points n stuff).

I think it is because they have many clients and they ask for different things and for that reason, Thomas is not the only one who works on the series, lol, there are many others and they make changes thinking how it can bother each client they have(like When they censor, they delete scenes), has and even Thomas is bothered by some things and they do somethings he doesn't see it as canon, like the scenes from Marinette's diary for example

@@vilamayie5393 that's definitely part of the issue. The Zag company is pretty disorganized. And miraculous is all over the place, from disney channel, Nickelodeon, Netflix, and a bunch of other random channels. I understand it's probably because they are a pretty new company compared to other animation studios, and when miraculous first started they only had like 3 months to work on it with a low budget.
But it's definitely still frustrating for the audience. Especially when you grew up with it. A lot happens in 6 years. I saw another comment refer to it as like a toxic relationship that you can't get out of. You keep leaving it, just to come back with hope of it getting better.

Im planning to do a non canon miraculous re-write where i make the story interesting even if it is a "kids show" like thomas says. In my one chat noir gets respect and i add more background to lila (ill admit lila is one of my fav antagonists of the show, but even i can admit you cant really define lila aside from her being a liar. So in my re-write we delve more deep into her life and why she ends up as a liar in her school.)
I'm working on my own AU with my own characters, changing some concepts and adding my own stuff in terms of lore. I'm making it much darker than Miraculous. I have everything in the first arc planned out, but I'm still trying to figure out how I want to start the beginning of the story.
It's really telling when fans can make this series better LMAO

This show is so irredeemable now. Three seasons in and Marinettes still a creepy stalker toward him? I would’ve LOVED to see her calm down and have a normal crush on him, but it’s way too late now. Not to mention how sexist and racist it is (pls see videos on it, they say great points)
What also pisses me off is that Thomas is like “obviously kids will know this is wrong” (talking about something either sexist or racist, can’t remember) and it’s not like younger kids can automatically tell the difference between things that are right and wrong, other than things that are obviously right or wrong. He expects the wrong things. It’s annoying.

I wanted adrien to be the main character....bcuz most of the things are related with him like his father is hawkmoth, his mother is in coma and she was the ex holder of that peacock, natalie, etc...those writers didnt really keep anything for marienette's side when she is the main character here
I read somewhere that that's exactly why he can't be. Apparently the show will end when Adrien figures they out. Now, I know what you're thinking: he didn't have to figure it out immediately. Focus on other aspects: his attempts to get some freedom, talk with his bodyguard about his thoughts, sneak away from his tutors for cat noir time. Drops hints he's forced to let go for the sake of his own secrets. Have an arc about his trust for Gabriel and Natalie, find Fu and learn more about his own powers. People question his sudden love of Camembert and almost find him out. So many separate arcs... That apparently would all individually end in him finding Gabriel out. Astruc simply shouldn't be in charge.
Even that last one could be a good arc. Imagine: he finds Gabriel out first, but because it's his own father he can't bring himself to tell Ladybug or confront him himself. People noticed his sudden depression and Gabriel tries to help him with it, but Adrien knows he can't tell his own father that they are sworn enemies. Ladybug tries to help, but Cat closes himself off in his grief and maybe even takes off for a bit. Their performance suffers because of it. Then ladybug and Hawkmoth put together at the same time Cat Noire's identity but Hawkmoth has some context that Ladybug doesn't and realizes why Adrien's emotions have been so dark. Hawkmoth has a crises about his desire to revive Emily vs his desire to not fight their son, questioning rather Emily would hate him for going to far or if he could still salvage it. Marinette meanwhile, reveals her identity to Adrien and they have a touching moment that drives their new relationship. Marinette respects that he can't talk about it yet and brings on some friends to the team as permanent members for the sake of Adrien's mental health so that he didn't have to keep secrets from his close friends when he's ready to come clean. This could stretch on a couple more seasons with a new dynamic in which Hawkmoth desperately tries to sway Cat and the team come to realize what has their cat so down, but initially reject it only coming to terms when they hear it out of Cat's own mouth. This in turn leads to the fanali.

i always find it funny when people bring up “it’s for kids” as an excuse for huge plot holes, bc when cons were still a thing and i sold art at them, kids were almost unanimously the ones who would come up to me and bring up those huge plot holes! they were always really annoyed with those holes too! they’re much smarter than show runners give them credit for and honestly show runners should stop using them as an excuse for just not writing well 😂

Don't want to compare shows but Avatar the last Airbender and the Legend of Korra are also kids shows (the latter being geared towards teenagers but still). They were fully intended for kids on a kids network but the main difference between these shows and Miraculous is the better writing. More realistic romance, character development, villains, lessons, etc were done so much better in ATLA and LOK. Miraculous Ladybug could be a much better show if the writers were actually consistent with continuity in the story and wrote the characters better

From what I know about France’s school system is that their version of middle school is called the collège system, from which ages to 11-15 (commonly) attend and for high school, it’s called lycée (15-18).

@@yepeskeyfan_girl1277 Ooh, all of the above are some of my all-time favorites. Idk where to watch Infinity Train, but Hilda and TDP are on Netflix. I won’t bog you down with my fangirling, but I do strongly recommend them lol. Infinity Train is an anthology series of people who get trapped in this alternate dimension or sumth, Hilda is a beautiful episodic fantasy with a real cozy atmosphere, and The Dragon Prince is like ATLA but if the relationships were fleshed out more and it had elves. I feel like this show is getting very repetitive and boring because it came to the point where it lacks plot completely and is getting really really repetitive and dry...There is no more originality, the same idea of the akuma and the love square is completely overused...Your ideas have more plots and actions, the story moves in multiple directions and makes me love it A LOT!
The show was aimed for 6 and up y/o kids. They really didn't pay any mind to the plot because they weren't expecting the audience to consists of teens and adults LMAO. I'm not sure if this was confirmed or not, but season 4 and 5 will be getting deeper episodes because the writers acknowledged the audience's age group.
I've been saying this for a year now. I stopped watching around Season 3 because it was soo repetitive. I don't see any character progression in anyone and the action is nothing interesting.

I mean, they’re friends, but his actual personality. She doesn’t get a chance to actually get to know him because she always has to go crazy when near him. Like.. being shy I front of your crush is fine. But not like THAT. That’s why I really like Marichat. Everyone always thinks of Adrien as perfect, especially Marinette. He always has to act perfect. Omg yes. Just load the poor dense cinnamon roll with so much emotion. The scene should have music that just keeps climbing and when Gabriel makes his wish and wish is being done we just see nurses at the hospital dropping their sh*t and panicking while hearing the no heartbeat sound and then everything goes quiet. Adrian looks up and see’s his mom and Gabriel should have some sort of fatigue so he looks tired but so happy to see his wife and to make it so the god of pain doesn’t figure out who cat noire and ladybug are, the god of pain passes out on Gabriel after reaching out for Gabriel after Gabriel calls for his wife. Omg ok now when Adrian gets to ninos place he gets a call from either the hospital or his father, for emotional reason his father. They can have a fight adrien will be all like « dad I don’t want to talk » and Gabriel goes « it’s about Nathalie ». Ok now adrien gets a nightmare that everything he thought was real is fake like his moms death, lady bug, his dad all that and everyone’s leaving him too like Nathalie and plague (well plague didn’t die or leave him but he became a cat again and cats have short lives and all so adrien starts overthinking making up for being so dense his whole life). We have to butcher this child mentally to grow he mlb fan base and send him more love. Anyway, now he calls marionette to talk over the phone. I will help animate this if someone else wants to help create new characters with me, get the legal stuff done and find more artists.

Here's the thing about Lyla in MLB, it's not that *she's* awful, although she is, it's the fact that literally everyone *around* her turns awful. I wanted to scream when Lyla got Marinette expelled. It wasn't because Marinette did something that Lyla could skew into a some evil scheme towards her, it was because of baseless evidence, ignorant authorities, and absence of common sense & simple knowledge. Lyla is a terrible liar and yet the principal and everyone around her simply believed her. I hated it and it was awful.
And her excuse? That she had a disorder that made her say cruel things? Yeah, great sob story but you can't not tell the school about that! If it's to the point where it's affecting those around her and in turn could lead to the expulsion of a student, you *need* to inform authorities you fool.

Adrinette gets boring in the show like I’m just embarrassed of marinette I want the show to have more ladynoir as the show is called takes of ladybug and chatnoir and the show needs some more marichat
Especially Marichat cuz they are both in love with someone and kinda see each other /if we assume they kinda like each other/ as the second option because their loved one loves someone else /as far as they know/ so they can bond over that and maybe not fall for each other, but have a reliable friend they can always relate to
At this point I'm lowkey glad they haven't or barely touched Marichat because I guarantee you the show would find some way to mess up that dynamic too.

I get that they’re doing Adrienette because at the end of the day that’s their true identities, but as agree that it gets old. I think what’s wrong with it is the constant retcon of Marinette’s communication issues and stalking. She “learns” and gets better by the end of an episode, and then goes right back to the start by the next one.

I really wish it was more like of a teen show bcs then teens can "relate" to what its happening in the show. Like falling in love with someone who alvays says "shes just a friend" like the teens can be "yea thats me" "that was me". The little kids xant really understand the love triangle more than a triangle thing
i dont mind it being a kids show as there are a lot other kid shows that are handled well. like when i was younger i didnt care for plot heavy shows like avatar or winx but i grew up to really appreciate them (which is what all kid shows should be doing). i find shows that are targeted towards teens more unsatisfying as they usually try too hard to be “dark” or edgy and like to oversexualise highschoolers. it would’ve been better off as an anime tbh
@@Luuni100 exactly thay is why the story needs to be balanced! Not heavy like most teens shows, and yet not overly simple, add complexity with some characters, Add depth, and personnality. Also we need a better world/background building reguarding the guardians of the miraculouses. Also i would like the MC to undergo training, as in not knowing how to really fight right away which add more stuggles to their fighting scenes.

@@lillysparrow I think around season 3 where she slowly tries to get over Adrien once she realizes he likes Kagami (another girl aka ladybug) So Marrinnete starts trying to see Luca as a possible love interest, but anyway it was meaningless because she went right back to loving him in the movie, there was legit no development, now we still have an Adrien obsessed Marrinete only now she has more responsibilities as the guardian. So they ruined her chance of a proper development, I’m not sure how it is with Adrien though, he truly is making an effort to forget about Ladybug and move on to Kagami, so maybe something interesting will happen with him.
tbh i lost interest after they debunked chloe's character. she honestly had one of the best character developments in the show (actually maybe the only character development? i'm still keeping up but it's not like marinette or adrien, alya, nino are getting any better than the good characters they already are and honestly marinette's whole infatuation is getting a little stalker-ish to watch)
ofc i disliked chloe in the beginning but at least she's shown different sides that ultimately lead her to be queen bee (who btw prolly i'm biased but queen bee has the best outfit and transformation i stand by this) and then they just took that away from her 😕the pace of this show is getting too flat, hopefully the new season will be better.
The way the writers handled her character development disappointed me so much. When I found out she was getting a miraculous I got soo excited because I expected for her to earn it, at least with ONE act of kindness and then slowly and stubbornly change for the better. But noo, it fell and she got it. It was ridiculous. The Despair bear episode is nothing compared to the whole arc she could have had. There was so much potential for Chloe but the writers ruined it. They were so incredibly lazy with how they handled her arc and with that I never expected much from Miraculous.

Like it was going that way, until they stopped and made her the same as she was before seeming to have no difference- theres so many parts in the show that i thought would be something great and show development (like Cat Blanc and Queen Bee and such) that were completely wasted
Exactly! It annoyed me so much. She resisted Hawk Moth (what the so pErFeCt heroes weren't able to do). And then she's the evil one in the final. Like, bruh, that's bullshit. Ok, she could have agreed with Hawk Moth so help her parents, that's fine. But she mustn't have overreacted at the end, that didn't make any sense for her character.

This sounds so much better! I physically am unable to sit through an entire episode, they are all super repetitive and frustrating. I either skip through to the important parts, or I’ll just watch the episodes with important plot points. This show deserves so much better!

Part of me feels like they wanted to go ahead with the story and their relationship progression, but the big wigs in their high chairs saw how successful the series was and told them to milk it for as many episodes as they can possibly put out there. All to line their pockets with as much money as possible. Cause yknow how money and corporate greed tends to ruin absolutely EVERYTHING eventually... *cough* Disney *cough*
