You can noticed how Billy angle the landing very far from the strip, slowing and speeding as he see fit to not stall the plane. That's us WT players unlocking new planes and bringing them straight to a live match for the first time lol Great vid
It's not to keep the plane from stalling but reacting to undershoot overshoot - you pick a spot say the threshold and when you see it move either up the canopy or down you adjust power accordingly to keep the same picture - same in WT too.
It was hard because the plane was bouncing around and the joystick was in my left hand...but Yes learning the checklist and understanding the radar and the 100 other things you have to do is hard.etc
Looked like a great landing, well done. I played flights sims growing up and war thunder was one of them. I think it helped me advance through flight training. Now I fly in the airlines but love playing around on flight sims.
Me who just keep my gears retracted. belly land with both my engine and prop gone. 30 sec repair and rearm. then bomb those pesky ostwind and wirbelwind can never do this. 😅 The landing look so smooth. 👌
Nice touchdown, right on the stall buzzer too so at the perfect speed too! These modern glass cockpits are a little distracting for me I must confess, the only real world flight experience I have is in a Cessna 152 Aerobat. Nothing but a traditional six pack of instruments and your wits, loved flying that old bird... I miss it. Alas, that sort of thing is beyond me financially these days and I was never able to complete my PPL training. For now I make do spending far too much money on sim equipment and flying in DCS and MSFS2020. War Thunder is great for its accesibility, no need for joysticks and other things if you don't want to go down that road. The quick boot up and play nature of it has helped to teach me a LOT about BFM and energy states which has helped to literally transform my performance in more complex sims like DCS. I went from a "mud mover" who didn't know the first thing about dogfighting to pulling reversals and knowing all the different terminology (one circle, two circle, rate fight etc) and how to put theory into practice. Good on you Billy for winning the bet!
Totally agree Thanks...the glass cockpit was like being in a bubble my head was nearly touching the top of the cab. Id love to try a T-6 Texan but its super expensive.
LoL PAPI lights and audio help from a suicidal one next to him LoL where is the WT experience? LoL again and yes WT can help with IRL planes i had driving license with only GRAN TURISMO 4 help so yes play WT (better DCS) and you will be able to fly a plane (ONLY if you are professional and dont trim into another player on take off :))) pun intended)

Thank you!...WT Love the game.!
Where is his 5000 Golden Eagles???
5000 GE cmon gaijin
Surely this is Thundershow worthy, right?
@@timmy3822 that would be cool..
Never ask me to do this, I'll belly land it so I can repair, rearm and refuel faster. Billy will understand! :)
This video was awesome, btw! GG
nice seeing you here :D
Thanks !
I think I could do it. But we have to remember: ''Any landing you can walk away from is a good landing''
$250-$400 if the flight instructor is down with you trying to land on your very first flight.

Nicely done! o7
02:03 - Looks like Arcade players had a go at this already. 😂
I don't think any helicopter pilot would let me do the same if they saw me fly in war thunder. Lol
you'd be disappointed to know there's only like three aerobatic certified helis in the world
tail boom strike go BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
Congrats man, sweet video!
Thanks!
Featured on FB by WT so followed the video, pretty cool landing!
really thats so cool Thanks for telling me.
I did my flight training at FRG back in 04-05, so many memories at that airport
Landing itself is not hard. The hard thing is controlling a plane and learning where the required controls are.
It was hard because the plane was bouncing around and the joystick was in my left hand...but Yes learning the checklist and understanding the radar and the 100 other things you have to do is hard.etc
This is so fun and interesting! Way to go everybody including the plane!
Congrats on your first real landing!

Very fun video!
thank you!
That's awesome 👌
30 sec repair time
Congrats on YPP xD
I knew you could do it !
Thanks !
Sims will never match the pucker factor of real world piloting. Same goes for Racing as well.
Totally agree there was major pucker factor on that landing lol!
Very nice. Hope all is well 🔮💵
