When people cite individuals like Nick Vujicic as an example to people to cheer them up, they forget one important thing. Individuals like Vujicic get treated with much more attention, fairness and respect than people with no disabilities. Depression and hopelessness is not caused by people encountering hardships in their lives. It results from indifference from other people and the sense of humiliation and pointlessness that it causes. Nick Vujicic probably believes he's this brave individual but in reality his courage and sense of self worth was implanted in him from other people. Nobody would think to humiliate him the way many other people are neglected and humiliated on a daily basis. So to cite people like this to healthy folks who are depressed and tell them to get over themselves is cruel and irrational.
I met this man in person he is one of the most happy and courageous men that I have ever met. I do not pity nor feel bad for him. I do however envy his spirit for it is one that cannot be broken. That is for all the dislikers out there whatever you say will not affect this mans spirit. He is so far beyond your understanding that he takes pity on your souls and prays for you. I was so moved when Nick said: "It's not the end...you will find that strength to get back up." WOW - Praise be to God!

Nick is truly a great guy. He spoke at my middle school today and he was very inspirational and funny. He has so many great jokes and stories! My teacher was cracking up so loud people started to stare!
