nice episode ;) . I begin to be worried about this o ring now !! Once you are aware about a weak point on the bike and you don't check it , your sleeping time decrease :D
lolololol. You are now thinking exactly like me when ever I get a new Vmax to rebuild. You don't have to do the oil pump conversion but definitely the o-ring. Have a good night sleep. KR
Great help Mr Konakuna! This is the lifesaver I was suggesting to use. I have done that together with increasing the volume of the oil reservoir. THANKS and great that xou keep up your excellent work!
I am very happy if my videos have helped you. I hope I can continue to make these videos for years to come. I would love to do it full time but my channel is too small. KR
lololol. It is not necessary to do the HD oil pump conversion but I would encourage everyone to do the o-ring. its easy as taking off the sump, loosening the pump and sliding the pipe out and replacing the o-ring.. I don't think I would own a Vmax without doing it as the risk of seizing my motor would haunt me every time I want the Vboost to work and that's every ride. KR
Excellent video, as always! One question about the Vmax clutch; what's your opinion regarding the DD clutch mod (adding an extra clutch spring ring) or the Barnett after-market clutch kit?
I changed over my clutch in my yellow Vmax. as it was slipping. I just fitted all new discs and all genuine parts. I never had any trouble or slipping ever. I did drive my friends Vmax which had a Barnett clutch kit. It was a little heavier to change gears but I definitely felt the firmer feel and grip. For someone who just rides their bike around and doesn't do anything crazy I would just leave it stock but if you are someone who rides hard I would fit upgrade.
Nigel hello. I hope your bike is going great. it was a little bit stressful doing this upgrade but it was worth it. You will see why I was stressed in the next Video. KR
Hello. while the engine was out it was easy for me to do it. This new motor has only done 12,000 klm/7,000 MILES. So it was an easy choice. The conversion was just an easy choice and I don't have to worry about the seal ever popping out now. KR
Hello David. Sadly there is no way to check, but if you still have great oil pressure you should be okay. Changing the O ring is preventative maintenance because if/ when it does pop out your motor will seize. . KR

@@kodokunaraida1044 hi yes my bike is doing great enjoying it before weather gets to cold and planning my next little project 👍
What made you suspect that o ring was popped out? My Vmax has 32,000 miles on it. Is it likely that mine is due to be changed?

Is there anyway a person can check to see if the bike needs a new o-ring???? Id rather not have to take everything off.!!!!!
