They're obsessed with the end of the world and some of them believe that they will play a pivotal role in ushering in the second coming of Jesus Christ. A few sub-cults are obsessed with a book called "Visions of Glory", dictated to John Pontius by a man known as "Spencer" in the book. "Spencer" is really a man named Thom Harrison, a Mormon/LDS Therapist. These mormon prepper sub-cults have resulted in violence, child abuse, and murder - look at the cases of Chad and Lori Daybell and Ruby Franke/Jodi Hidlerbrandt - as well as the supposed child rescuer turned rapist Tim Ballard. There is something terribly wrong in this Mormon/LDS sub culture and I'd stay as far away from it as you can.
I like your general reasoning and your thorough knowledge of the scriptures. Your remarks about genAI are very uninformed, biased and quite ignorant. It would be good to educate yourself a bit more on this subject.
