it’s not guilt that’s having vecna target them but trauma. chrissy with her mom bullying her into an eating disorder, fred having survived a car crash and then leaving his friend at the scene, and patrick, from what little we hear this episode, having his dad or someone call him a disgrace
Trauma is different to guilt, but I think it's trauma AND guilt. All of the characters targeted resemble some kind of guilt and the writers make that clear enough.
An important thing to remember with Lucas tentatively sticking with the "popular crowd" is that in episode 1 his best friends didn't go to his championship game AND they replaced him with his sister that same night. As soon as he spoke to Dustin and heard him talk, though, he got over it and lied to Jason's crew in order to get away. I think he acted very mature this season.
this !! especially after reading "lucas on the line", you come to understand EXACTLY why he acts the way he does this season. he's grown and matured so much
It amazes me how many people want Lucas (who has never been in a fight) to fight these 3 upperclassmen jocks who have a pack mentality to find and destroy Eddie and everything in their path. If Lucas had jumped in, they would have beat him even harder and called him a trader. Now if those guys had been beating on Dustin/Mike/Will it would have been different. Who was up in that tree doing recon looking for Will when he vanished? Lucas! If ya ask me, Lucas was undercover.
Let's not forget that Eddie showed zero loyalty toward Lucas at all. Once he heard that Lucas had a championship, he couldn't care less and thought he was replaceable. But somehow, Lucas has to fight 3 older and bigger athletes for him? AND apologize to him? Lol. Lucas is a strategist. He planned ahead.
I agree with Nathan on Lucas. I don’t think he was in the wrong in that whole situation. It’s a lose lose situation for him. He only calls the DND club weird and stuff because if he admits to knowing them then his teammates are going to think that he’s suspicious and think that he knows where Eddie is at. If he doesn’t admit to knowing then and doesn’t stick up for them (which he did) it makes him look like a snake and that he’s throwing his friends under the bus which was Davion’s argument. It’s all about the basketball team it’s not really about Lucas even fitting in anymore. He just doesn’t want to look suspicious in front of them bc then they might do him like they did his friends and beat him up to try and get him to tell him where Eddie is.
I also think that Lucas did not know that Jason and crew would beat up Eddie's bandmates the way they did. When he saw that, he knew that he needed to protect his friends, and as you said, he had to do that carefully.
Thing about Mike is that he and Nancy are very similar mostly because they are siblings. They both grew up in a household where their mom was slowly losing feelings for their lousy dad and they were fighting all the time. They’ve never really seen what actual love looks like and it is a real thing for so many people. They both have trouble saying “I love you” because they weren’t raised in a household with parents that love each other. That kind of thing in childhood can really affect people’s struggles in the future. Mike and Nancy both know that it’s very hard for them to say “I love you” but they don’t know why.

right, comparing lucas to the racist who tried to hate crime on him is super weird. and btw, billy was abusive towards max not because she got him "into trouble". she only "got him into trouble" (as you call it) when they arrived to Hawkins. he's been abusive for years before that. because, just like bullies love to prey and take their anger on the "weak", he only felt superiority and strength when he was next to his little step sister. so he did to her what his dad makes him feel - he was possessive, aggressive and made her feel small and worthless because that's how his dad made him feel. and when he did that to max, he used to feel the "superiority" his father felt when he abused billy. and then later on when they moved to Hawkins it got worse since he also blamed max for them "moving" (because they supposedly moved to be away from max's dad. in max's book though, one of the main reasons for them moving was billy breaking max's best friend's arm after he tried to defend her from billy's bullying and abuse, and after billy's friend made a joke about this guy and max dating. billy scared her friends away and isolated her from them, the breaking point was when he broke her friend's arm and one of the reasons their parents decided to move away).
@@hh-ug4ki Thank you for sharing that backstory on Billy, I didn’t know that was why he and Max moved to Hawkins but I’m not surprised. It really bothers me that people forgive Billy for everything he did because they feel sorry for him or because he did one good thing when he was abusing Max and bullying her for years. I understand feeling sorry for him but realistically a lot of people have abusive parents or a sad childhood, that doesn’t mean you get to abuse others like Billy did without being held accountable. There are a lot of people who are abused who DON’T abuse others. His backstory may explain why he did what he did but it doesn’t justify it. @@viola7052 yeah, davion always defending him is icky tbh. i remember in s2 he said max is basically at fault for her own abuse because she "got billy in trouble" or whatever. and while we didn't see much of the abuse on screen apart from a few scenes (which is enough tbh), it was very much implied (even lines like "you lied, you know what happens when you lie" "you disobey me, you know what happens when you disobey me. i break things!") and personally i don't really think his s3 arc was a "redemption arc". i mean, 90% of it it wasn't even him. and i mean, yes great he sacrificed himself in his lasts moments, preventing the mind flayer from getting eleven and basically dooming the world. so he didn't want every person on earth (well, at least Hawkins for the time being) to die, that's good, but it doesn't mean he's not still a racist abusive piece of shit lol. i mean, i feel like a lot of people, bas or good, also wouldn't want the entire world destroyed. it was an heroic moment, yes. was it redeeming? not really cause we didn't get to see him changing and his "heroic moment" didn't really have anything to do with us seeing him realizing he has been abusive or condemning his racism. we didn't really get much development from him as a character in s3, because, again, 90% of the time it wasn't even him.

Lucas is a black boy living in the 80s. It's not a stretch to think that he may have been racially targeted by bullies. If the only way he feels he can finally be free from that bullying is wanting to be popular, then his feelings are valid. It's one thing being a white nerd, whole other thing to be black, and a nerd at that in the 80s. Also, a side note, weird how they keep pushing for this extreme nationalism with Erica's character considering her identity, the times she's living in, AND where she's living.
Apollo Creed was extremely nationalist. Is not common but there have always being quite a few black americans who are profoundly patriótic. Remember black men literally fought to be allowed to wear the US Army uniform

So excited. So excited. Next episode. Gonna be wild. Can NOT wait. People and children to teens experience some kind of trauma. It's normal. The shows are extreme and very dramatized. You guys are so real. Mike hate is unbelievably massive and vocal. People talk about him like he's some kind of criminal, it's baffling. I hope people can just start to try to understand his side of the story. He's not a bad person. "Why is this on me? Why am I the bad guy?" this line in previous episode also speak to the audience who mercilessly villanizing him.
I honestly don't think Billy died for 11, i think he just excepted his death at that point because of what he went through with the flayer in his head but he wasn't a better person in the end he was still the same flawed, racist person

Eleven mentioning his mother was more than that to Billy. It helped him realize that he was wrong in his decisions because he was basing them off of his father. If his mother was alive he would have never turned out how he is now, which was abused, racist, and a bully. What I took from the scene was that him on the beach was a completely different person from who he was at the present moment and El describing that day on the beach with his mother reverted him back to that good, innocent, friendly boy that he once was before his father destroyed him emotionally.
lucas wasn’t really wrong for that, like his bullying was probably way worse than dustin and mike. also lucas had every right to abandon his friends just like they did w his game. lucus was literally also the only one who found another hobby after getting on will last season abt playing dnd unlike mike and dustin. lucas never does no wrong
you guys just wanted Lucas to get beat up without having any real chance to actually try to solve the problem? people have to pick their moments in situations like his, and he acted really well in my opinion. I never doubted him for a second.
Exactly being so unrealistic and even if Lucas fought Jason those band mates wouldn’t even help him because they aren’t his friends they’re basically acquaintances because they hang out with the same people and are in the same dnd group.
it's refreshing to see reactors that don't immediately jump on Mike! and then to add to that and mention not getting all the Mike hate was nice. he's my favourite character, believe it or not, so although I understand why a lot of people don't like him it's also annoying to see people /constantly/ shit on him or not even try and see things from his perspective. but you guys did! I noticed it in previous seasons too, but felt like I should probably mention it and now just happened to be the perfect time haha
@@yuh.kxyla15 nah that's not true though, Mike's gotten hate since s2 or at least s3, way before his storyline with Will in s4. the reasons I've seen most people give is because he can be an asshole sometimes (which is definitely true and started more so in s2), or that they just don't find his character very interesting because they think he's just portrayed as El's boyfriend and that's it. which I mean, fair enough. I just don't agree haha
Guys, the world used to be a smoking section. I found an old picture from the 90s of me smoking in a Burger King and was just stunned by “this used to be totally ok”
I feel like most of the Mike hate this season comes from people who really like El or really like Will or both and they don’t think of the situation from Mike’s POV

At the end of the day he turned into his dad and was abusive to max. It’s sad that people don’t get that…
It sucks that people hate on Lucas this season like they immediately jump to him being a terrible person like we didn't see him from season one always have his friends back. But everyone else gets a pass.
@@Lana-yl1zd I don’t get it either plus I don’t understand why Lucas is such a bad friend over the years watching the seasons that friendship with his squad was always very one sided it was Lucas always in the wrong and nobody ever really took accountability or tried to redeemed their actions but Lucas. And when Mike or Billy does something small everyone claps..
It's not guilt that vecna is using...it's there trauma, eating disorder in chrissy, the guy was in a car accident and left his friend to die, max saw Billy get killed..etc
Yea Mike got a lot of hate this season which I don’t understand like yea he made a lot of dumb decisions but there was no reason for the hate towards him imo
I always agree with one of you guys in different arguments but I love this discussions you guys have bc you always bring up important points, even when I agree with someone else. Thats the cool thing with this show, everybody makes mistakes and they’re all human, they’re layered. Its not black and white, like I understand why Lucas didn’t stand up for his d&d gang but I don’t think it was right, but thats it: we’re not always brave, we can be insecure and then do something right. Those discussions are important! Bc there are layers
I love Mike. Sometimes his behavior, for example, that phrase at the table, is annoying, but this happens very rarely. I don't understand why there is so much negativity in his direction. He is a teenager, sometimes moody, a little harsh, quick-tempered, but smart and reasonable. He's saying the right things, and not for the first time. And if he understands that he said something wrong, if he sees that he offended someone, then he apologizes. Mike cares a lot about el, worries about her all the time. But saying "I love you" to face is not always easy. Mike can be understood
You really think lucus would be truthful to people who are going full on revenge mode and super violent. Also he grew up more with Mike, Will, Dustin, and Eleven compared to his DND friends.
Always have a great time watching your reaction boys . Thank you for the nice time you give use. Dont stop one day you may be one of the biggest chanel reaction . Love and support from Québec , Canada
lol why everyone always so quick to call Lucas a snake/folder. That boy been about loyalty from JUMP. He was staying quiet and playing smart. @@viola7052 yeah, davion always defending him is icky tbh. i remember in s2 he said max is basically at fault for her own abuse because she "got billy in trouble" or whatever. and while we didn't see much of the abuse on screen apart from a few scenes (which is enough tbh), it was very much implied (even lines like "you lied, you know what happens when you lie" "you disobey me, you know what happens when you disobey me. i break things!")
and personally i don't really think his s3 arc was a "redemption arc". i mean, 90% of it it wasn't even him. and i mean, yes great he sacrificed himself in his lasts moments, preventing the mind flayer from getting eleven and basically dooming the world. so he didn't want every person on earth (well, at least Hawkins for the time being) to die, that's good, but it doesn't mean he's not still a racist abusive piece of shit lol. i mean, i feel like a lot of people, bas or good, also wouldn't want the entire world destroyed.
it was an heroic moment, yes. was it redeeming? not really cause we didn't get to see him changing and his "heroic moment" didn't really have anything to do with us seeing him realizing he has been abusive or condemning his racism. we didn't really get much development from him as a character in s3, because, again, 90% of the time it wasn't even him.
I can't believe people doubt Lucas like I never once doubted he would choose his friends
Lucas is written with L of loyal😎
Yall had no faith in the boy Lucas haha.
I’m not gonna lie I never thought watching people react will be my fav TH-camr but tbh y’all are my top favorite TH-camrs to watch, y’all are funny and cool dudes. Keep it up. You guys are my first and only TH-camrs that got me to pay for Patreon.
' I don't understand from where all this mike hate come for' you are just like me poor boy
you cannot compare lucas and billy! lucas couldn't even do anything to stop them...
and btw, billy was abusive towards max not because she got him "into trouble". she only "got him into trouble" (as you call it) when they arrived to Hawkins. he's been abusive for years before that. because, just like bullies love to prey and take their anger on the "weak", he only felt superiority and strength when he was next to his little step sister. so he did to her what his dad makes him feel - he was possessive, aggressive and made her feel small and worthless because that's how his dad made him feel. and when he did that to max, he used to feel the "superiority" his father felt when he abused billy.
and then later on when they moved to Hawkins it got worse since he also blamed max for them "moving" (because they supposedly moved to be away from max's dad. in max's book though, one of the main reasons for them moving was billy breaking max's best friend's arm after he tried to defend her from billy's bullying and abuse, and after billy's friend made a joke about this guy and max dating. billy scared her friends away and isolated her from them, the breaking point was when he broke her friend's arm and one of the reasons their parents decided to move away).
Dayvion your whole pov of thinking is crazy and the fact that you compared Billy to Lucas is crazy Lucas always had a plan…he just needed time like what…
can’t wait for episode 4 reaction… it’s one of the best of the series
@justus I’m sure most of us have seen the community post just know we know how hard you guys have been working, and you’re starting a new series.Trust, you can upload when you figure the copyright system out.Love yall
So excited. So excited. Next episode. Gonna be wild. Can NOT wait. People and children to teens experience some kind of trauma. It's normal. The shows are extreme and very dramatized. But they are something that we all can relate on some level to. This was awesome guys. Miles, THANK YOU for explaining how normal the smoking was. I smoke. I know. But give it up...I'm dying from something already. I enjoy it FFS...let me be if I'm doing it on my front porch.
I LOVEEEEE YOUR REACTIONS IM SO EXCITED TO WATCH THE REST OF YOUR REACTION TO SEASON 4
YES ME TOO
Yessss finally someone reacted to the dinner scene! Thats my favourite scene in the entire show.
GOATED CHANNEL
Fr
nah that lil frog on the left is annoying as hell
@@elvin2514 frog?
@@elvin2514 y’all weird forgetting that the reactors are real people💀and also that it’s a show. They’re just sharing their opinions
The end part of this ep just give me chills evrytime i watch it and with your reaction it just better .. this was so good luv your channel guys 👍👍
I honestly don't think Billy died for 11, i think he just excepted his death at that point because of what he went through with the flayer in his head but he wasn't a better person in the end he was still the same flawed, racist person
You all always have the most chaotic reactions & discussions 😂 I live for them lol
Y’all it’s not guilt that Vecna is after, it’s trauma..
Can’t wait to see you guys reaction to the next episode it’s the best one yet
Me too
When will they post it?
@@GazaAriana Probably already published. It's just that the video has to be processed by TH-cam due to copyright. Let's just hope it doesn't take long. Just waiting
When you said we won’t talk about billy anymore ….we’ll hate to tell you the next episode title then lol
lucas wasn’t really wrong for that, like his bullying was probably way worse than dustin and mike. also lucas had every right to abandon his friends just like they did w his game. lucus was literally also the only one who found another hobby after getting on will last season abt playing dnd unlike mike and dustin. lucas never does no wrong
I saw y’all post earlier I appreciate y’all for joy giving up 🥲
Loved the reaction as always!! Can’t wait for next episode, it’s in my eyes the best episode in the entire show!
I love all y’all’s reaction videos! You guys are one of my favorite channels💗
i think it’s more people who have gone through trauma not guilt
Perfect combination of comedy and reaction love to see it❤❤❤❤
you guys just wanted Lucas to get beat up without having any real chance to actually try to solve the problem? people have to pick their moments in situations like his, and he acted really well in my opinion. I never doubted him for a second.
Lucas had to be smart to handle the situation, and he was!
YESS definitely agree!! Seeing this was so refreshing to see. I love Mike I can’t hate him if I tried
Yesss I agree
100%. The boy literally jumped off a cliff to save Dustin in season 1. He’s a normal teenager trying to navigate his first relationship.
The only reason ppl hate him is because he's not gay and he doesn't like Will in a romantic way🙄 Like, sorry Mike didn't realize Will likes him...
I just don't agree haha
ive never cracked up at a video sooooo much!!! THE JOKES WERE HITTIN!!!! ILYYYY cant wait for others to drop... signing into patreon NEEEOWWW
watching y’all argue might be my favorite part of watching your reactions 💀
What the hell?! They arrested Eleven without speaking to a parent or lawyer!! That’s some bullshit!!!
How am I waiting for the next episode omg
Guys, the world used to be a smoking section. I found an old picture from the 90s of me smoking in a Burger King and was just stunned by “this used to be totally ok”
I NEED EPISODE 4 REACTION NOW 😂
I'm dying at 12:00 " team max" lmaoooo
Thank god, watching this after a rough day. Keep it up
I feel like most of the Mike hate this season comes from people who really like El or really like Will or both and they don’t think of the situation from Mike’s POV
My anxiety when I first heard vecna say “Max” 📈📈📈
Billy displayed the anger he had towards his dad onto Max
THANK YEW
Yeah idk why they’re saying billy got abused because of max’s behavior that was literally only 1 instance they showed… billy was getting abused way before max was in his life. Billy was always horrible to her.
@@amo25ka5 very victim blaming arguments from them i gotta say
@@hh-ug4ki yeah… I was like wtf. Billy is such a well written character but so many people misinterpret him. Your supposed to feel for him but not to the extent where u end up justifying his actions. At the end of the day he turned into his dad and was abusive to max. It’s sad that people don’t get that…
I like angela’s actor that’s the closest it’ll ever get to anyone saying they actually like her 😭 like-
It sucks that people hate on Lucas this season like they immediately jump to him being a terrible person like we didn't see him from season one always have his friends back. But everyone else gets a pass.
How are you going to jump to Billy rescue but hate on Lucas???
Dear Billy is next can't wait man!!
yesss I been waiting for this reaction
watching u guys, my night instantly turn better
They mad at Lucas but love Bily when he was literally racist towards Lucas lmao ok
This is specifically for Davion
Vecna targets trauma not guilt
Always have a great time watching your reaction boys . Thank you for the nice time you give use. Dont stop one day you may be one of the biggest chanel reaction .
Love and support from Québec , Canada
lol why everyone always so quick to call Lucas a snake/folder. That boy been about loyalty from JUMP. He was staying quiet and playing smart. He got a lot of info about those dudes states of mind and intentions and THE SECOND his friends, (who chose d&d over him with no apology or explanation btw but we move) were the new targets he lured them away. No too much on Lucas Sinclair pleSeeeee😭😭😭
Fr 😂
Best reaction channel bro
NEXT EPISODE IS THE BEST OF THE SEASON LETS GOO
0:50 there are fans that say Lucas should’ve died instead of billy,, THATS gotta be racist 😭
I never noticed how blasted Jonathan looked when he walked in and said hi to murry lmfao
i love stranger things!!!! this season is crazy😁
I’m so glad you guys didn’t jump on the mike hate train 🫶🏼
PLZ y’all are so funny😭😭
vecna goes after people that have trauma & max has survivors guilt
This channel is so underrated
Help spread the word!
I swear its taking everything in his power for Davion not to punch Nathan hahahaha. Their arguments are Hilarious but don't let it ever destroy your Friendship
Trauma changes your brain.
lucas did what he had to do for his own protection🤷🏽
I love your guys reactions keep up the good work.
Don't ever doubt Lucas. He's always correct.
Chill on Lucas davion
THANK YOU SO MUCH GUYS I NEED THIS ONE FR😊😢
I hope everything is okay. I’m glad we could make things better even if for a little bit.
At 9:49 when he said that women smoked when they were pregnant. That was how my my cousin almost died before she was born
