Rather than use the Merge and Center button which destroys a Worksheet's structure, in the Alignment tab for Format, use Center Across Selection for the Horizontal Alignment. This accomplishes the same result visually without breaking the column structure. I prefer using the "IFS" version of the aggregation functions rather than the "IF" version - they allow more conditions and all have the same parameter structure. There's no real need to use the "IF" versions of the functions.
Nicely explained and easy to follow using your files. I jumped through to conditional formatting, which was the best place for me personally to start. One tip I learned elsewhere. Instead of dragging the fill handle, you can double click the fill handle providing there's data entered nearby showing where the columns end. That saves a few microseconds. Thanks for your effort.
Although I am using it for years, it is always useful to do some basic training. Best case you know all, else you learn something new. It makes a difference dedicating a time slot, rather than just quick tutorials. Looking forward to watch also the other two episodes.
Thank you for this great basic course. It is always good to review my knowledge in excel. But as I saw it in the beginning there is a difference in pressing Control and a or clicking on the upper left corner, because the last one selects the entire sheet
Great content, one suggestion if you could either put all the practise files into one worksheet (using multiple tabs) or use the same data for multiple lessons it would be very handy. Opening and closing individual worksheets if annoying.
Could you please upload accounting softwares tutorials too (softwares like quicksbooks, xero, sage, tally prime etc..) Btw Thank you much. Your lesson is absolutely amazing❤
Dear learnit team, I find your youtube channel more organised than your website. That's why I prefer the youtube channel. Thanks a lot for organizing the youtube in such convenient ways. The thumbnail of videos mentioning the "level of hardness" and "the year of the software program" make these videos quicker to find out. And also we can find out exactly what we want just by looking into the thumbnail. Thanks a lot. Can't express my gratitude enough. ❤❤❤
Thank you for this course it's really helpful. I have a question though, are there any guides to use the files in Part 1 named Practice 1, 2, 3, 4, 5? I'd like to know if there's something like a quiz which would be really helpful. Thank you again!

When selecting the merge and center option after attempting to combine two cells, it tells me that "Merging cells only keeps the upper-left value and discards other values". How do you prevent this?

I also noticed it. To select the whole worksheet, you press Ctrl+A twice, or click on the rectangle. I guess you must have figured it out. :)
Thank you. Best Excel training I've had.
