I hit a deer with it in the middle of it winter and drove it about 30 miles with radiator leaking out to get home. I put a new radiator, hood, and grille on it. The car just kept going with no issues. Damn thing was a tank.

Two of them had a ‘91 (both 5-speed) and my other uncle had a ‘92 (automatic). Ironically my first car was a ‘96 (auto unfortunately) lol. These are great cars, fun to drive and reliable. You got it for a steal. I just bought a 99 accord coupe 5 speed for 300 it's beat really bad. It needs a radiator support because it's been in a wreck and the hood flew up on it so it's needs a windshield. But it runs and drives so am might fix it and slap a turbo on it or use it for parts. Probably turbo
The memories. Took my first 90' accord coupe to over 325,000km, then sold it to my buddy who drove it to over 500,000km. Body was rusted like a mother, but engine was bulletproof. The Japanese make the best factory engines.

I’m going to say they put diesel fuel in it maybe on accident and that noise is the catalytic convertor breaking apart , or a mouse nest built up in the exhaust
Make sure the distributor is aligned and in time with the cam. Put the motor at dead center manually and find the proper spot for the distributor it should stop misfiring
One of mine has been down for 2 years, turns out it is the coil but the rust is too bad for me to fix it now. It will be a donor for my other cb7 then to the jy.
