I kinda feel like SMT is mostly a reasonable difficulty most of the way through most of the games (with some exceptions) and those that claim otherwise are used to most RPGs being far too easy imo. I don't think you're expected to die in most RPGs, which isn't necessarily true of SMT, but in SMT 4 and 5, there weren't that many bosses that took me more than 2 or 3 tries all together. In SMT 3, I died a lot more over the course of my playthrough, but I don't think that's because SMT 3 was meaningfully harder, I think that's because SMT 3 has random encounters, which means it's really easy to get caught in battles where you're incredibly low on SP and demons. I've had so many moments in SMT 3 where I was doing something else in the overworld and underestimated the rate I was spending SP and didn't go back to a safe area. Granted, I don't think that's a bad thing at all, especially in contrast to the Persona games and SMT 5 in particular, where SP basically doesn't matter all that much after the early game. In Persona 5, all you need to do is grind a bit in Mementos until you get enough money for an SP Adhesive 3, buying more helps but you only actually need one, you can pass it between party members and just farm easy battles to fully restore everyone's SP. In Persona 4, you can rank up the fox's link and grind money so that you basically always have a way to restore SP (made easier by changing the amount of money that drops from battles in the difficulty settings). Persona 3 has the tiredness mechanic which limits you in the way that SP would (in exchange for SP being fully restored for free by returning to the base floor of Tartarus), but past the early game the tiredness mechanic is pretty easy to deal with as there are a lot of ways to boost your (and your party members) status, and as your party members level up, it will take them much longer to become tired or exhausted. Persona 3 Portable lets you skip it entirely by just having the Persona 4 mechanic, because now your status only updates upon leaving a dungeon, so if you enter a dungeon with everyone at "Great" they'll stay at "Great" until you leave for the night.

1:03:20 The amount of critical rate here must be ilegal or must have been increased this mod. How the heck did he get hit by a critical so many times- getting repel/drain/null should be priority number 1 seems like. Shiki-Ouji must be broken in this mod. ... Let's be honest this mod isn't stupid enough to let you have so many nulls and only one weakness in the second palace. They probably changed the affinitys of Shiki-ouji. And I am already gonna think that they nerfed the instakill ability of Ryuji somehow.
If you think 10% critical rate is bad, ok. There's always called LUCK when involved in critical. Kamoshida gets 4x crit is like getting Jackpot pull. Shiki ouji being broken? ehhh... not true. The comment after that is an assumption after assumption and an opinion. Your opinion is fine. Not everyone will like it. But please make a comment at least after you play for your assumption.
@@ZArkadia-lc3fp What do you mean exactly? I do not get what you mean. When I meant "Let's be honest this mod isn't that nice" I wasn't saying that in the sense of "This mod is bad" I meant It in the way of "This mod isn't that easy" in sense of they wouldn't put a persona with as many good resistances like Shiki-ouji in the second Palace. And about the critical chance, I said It because by what the video shows, he is getting crit in the worst times or the start of the Battle, so It is surprising for me that the crit chance is only a 10%
@@ZArkadia-lc3fp Also, the assumption is because the mod is not fully complete, or at least by what the Page says "The mod progress is only up to Kamoshida's Palace and it is a demo release for all of you." So we can only assume how future personas will be in affinity. It is an assumption because you can only do an assumption.
@@masterblaster38 so that's what you meant. You may need to rephrase the word "isn't that nice" cause English isn't exactly my first language and I translate that literally (Sure it can be interpreted other ways but you never know. I interpreted nice as good, not nice as a easy the first time). That being said, I don't have any shame in admitting I'm wrong and I apologize for that.
@@masterblaster38 The affinity is 100% done. The mod is partially complete. The incomplete one is to change the enemies AI, and make adjustments. That is why I do not recommend going further than Madarame (Yes the mod is finished now to Madarame) because the enemies AI are unmodified
I'll probably check this mod out in due time, but does anyone know if the text-font change is permanent for the whole game? I don't mind it for things specifically related to the mod but the things that the mod *doesnt* change having it is alil jarring to me, it's not like...a deal breaker i guess, it's just nice to have options
