Before the story continues - a review of the previous episodes (using past tense and past perfect). Then, Marieke calls Gianluca. Just like Anika recommended: she proposes to do something together, the four of them.

In every 'Heb je zin?' episode, we'll practise 1 specific grammar rule, that is explained in the online course #dutchgrammar.
In this epsiode, we'll practise the grammar from #dutchgrammar-3, lesson 5 about the word 'er' combined with a quantity.
In 'Heb je zin?' we'll cover grammar rules that are typically taught on the level CEFR A2/B1. The narration speed is higher than in the first 2 seasons, corresponding to the A2/B1 level.

Also, would you mind summarizing the rules for when to use the simple past and when to use the compound past? The rules seem to be very similar to the rules for their use in German, especially regarding the use of the simple past to talk about past events that are in progress, habitual, or descriptive of circumstances or appearance (like the Imparfait in French).
And I just found the answer to my question in this week's #dutchgrammar preview lesson. I was right. The simple past is used to describe events that are repeated, habitual, or ongoing in the past as well as to narrate a series of completed events in the past. It is also used in conjunction with the past perfect when I want to report that one action was completed before another action in the past. Begrijp ik het nut?
