Such a great performance. It's so awesome even though there were some issue with the lighting setup but still the best performance ever. I'm definitely gonna vote JNS! I really hope they will win.

The kid in the foreground at 4:09 is a very good dancer. I realized that he's the same kid who's been catching my attention with his moves since their first performance. He's the same kid on the right who first appeared with heels and did the head spin in the semis, was thrown high in the air at 2:02 and did the head-back flip here. Watch out for this talented kid.
***** True, for me, he's an asset to the group. He's name is Jerroll aka Jamol Valencia.. He's so down to earth to his supporters. The other small kid's name is Christian aka Phillip Tejeros. I want to hug them both
You watch him closely, there are some videos on TH-cam, I think it was last 2012, he has been doing those flips and spins since he was very small, my son likes him too
The stage, lighting and video direction of this performance are SO BAD. One would think that the job of the production team is to show off the talent. In this case, they decided to show off their own production tricks, which were so badly done that it was virtually impossible to see the dance routine. One should know: the more movement there is on stage, the less movement there should be in lighting and camera angles/zooms etc. What the judges saw from their stationary chairs bears absolutely no resemblance at all to what the voting public saw. Your production team absolutely destroyed any opportunity for this young group to win votes from the viewing public. YOU destroyed a dream. I hope your production team does better next year.
Having said all that, I found the Finals to be absolutely inspiring. I am glad you are allowing the world to see the vast talent from Asia.

Tom Colvin I TOTALLY AGREE. I am not able to see the choreography because the lights were either too bright or too dark. Even if I replayed it so many times, I CANNOT SEE THE DETAILS OF THE CHOREOGRAPHY. It's frustrating!!!

Tom Colvin spot-on critique. I wanted to enjoy their performance but was not able to because of the distracting lighting, stage, and camera angles.
this part: "the more movement there is on stage, the less movement there should be in lighting and camera angles/zooms etc." - this can also apply to action-themed movies. I can't stand it when I can't even see the action in films coz there are too many abrupt cuts and camera angles.

This performance is actually better than the semi. The transition between formation is smooth and flawless and the back flip synchronization in the beginning is awesome. The dance moves are much more complex and the energy is just intense. They definitely leveled up.
RudolfTV Agree. Every move, every detail, those were really difficult and you can see from the judges' reactions when they point to some of these hard steps. Anyway, like others have said, it is just too hard to see these when you are just looking at the video clip.

I have gotten to appreciate their performance here (even if the semi final performance was more explosive) because of the synchronization, which seems hard to execute/manage. I'm glad I got to read (and learn from) your point of view.
True the Grand Finals their dancing was amazing and make me want to see more moves than flipping. But the way i'm Filipino and make me proud of them.

JNS appeared on Philippine TV show a few days ago and the group's leader Jazcel Valencia admitted that the choreography they did for the finals was not their idea but the organizers of PGT.
Seeing them dance makes me wanna dance also. They are always full of energy and their steps... oh so excellent! I wish I can dance like them. :) Good luck Junior New System! Bravo!

This is how great group loose in dance competitions because of the lighting effects. Why not do the HHI and WOD thing that all lights are just on and focus on the routine itself? I understand that these kids have a theme for their performance but its the director's work to make sure that they will stand out and not the stage. I hope they still win because their a world class act.

Is it possible to lessen the stage lights while they're dancing? Or maybe choose another background designs which will make sure boys would clearly be visible with their moves. They worked hard enough to show their talent yet, stage lights almost ruins it.Please. tnx a lot!

Can we all just be proud of what they've achieved rather than talking about waving the flag, and so on... the dance was a concept, they are proud to be Filipinos. Then what's the matter? Why do we all have to make it such a big deal? Can people focus on the talent, than bashing around and blaming it to somebody? It's hard to dance on stage with those technicalities, and oh men they nailed it... They are just proud of what they have achieved as a Filipino and show it to the world how proud they are. Even Triqstar incorporate Japanese culture in their dance routine. Let's stop showing our crab mentalities Pinoys...

The thing about this is that the only way for one of the contestants from the Philippines to win is if we only pick and vote one. We can't let our votes be divided to four because if ever, it'll be just another excuse on why any of the filipinos acts will not win so we have to pick one and only one of the four. Mas lalo na na may nagpropose? Magdududa ka talaga kung planado talaga nila yun oh hindi to garner votes. Pero planned or not it's one way of getting votes. I'm not even mad at them. What they did? the Chinese pair? Was a smart move. Cheeky but smart.

We didn't appreciate this performance much like the judges did who watched them live firsthand on the front seats. When I heard their comments, I was like "what, what really? It didn't seem like that to me" Well now I see that's because of the friggin camera shot and friggin lights on that last parts it didn't show properly the moves and choreo and all.

Were they trying to sabotage #JuniorNewSystem? First, the bad lighting and then the wrong name on this video (who is Dynamo?). But still, the performance was awesome and worth replaying a hundred times. .
Well it was perfectly fine when I watch this on TVs maybe it just this video that have some issue or the lighting were imperfect. But still have to agree with you it was a great performance.
RudolfTV not to mention tat about 90% camera shots were so far behind the judges and the judges reacting + extremely distracting lights (too dark or too bright, never in the right lighting condition) and now on youtube the attempt to vague down the title of junior new system and in the youtube clip before you watch it, you see the photo of melanie c instead of JNS. this is also happening with gerphil, and el gamma. meanwhile, the singapore contestants feature clip shows the contestants and they didnt think that i'd noticed, but they also changed the feature clip of thrilogy with more close-up of the contestants. I'D CRY TOTAL SABOTAGE. Singaporeans! you need to play fair!

Im a filipino, but waving our flag on stage annoys me. Its a battle of talents, not a battle of country. I agree we should be proud of our country but it seems to be an inappropriate event. If they want a vote from other parts of Asia, they should have not set boundary.
