Jennifer you are correct Resorts is the first and oldest and I remember when no matter how hot or cold men must wear a sport coat to enter and was it ever crowded!!!!! Nice job Jennifer keep on trucking
@@mikesi3235 "The Company That Bought The Boardwalk" by Gigi Mahon is a great book about gambling coming to AC and the history of Resorts, which started as Mary Carter Paint (?). It also got Gigi blacklisted by the casino.
We have been watching all of these videos of your 14 day stay in Atlantic City. My fiance and I are going back to Atlantic City in the fall so we are enjoying these! Can you PLEASE go see Lucy the elephant and let us know what you think!? We might be adding it to our list this year 😊

I stay at the Irish Pub, when I overnight in AC. I love the old Atlantic City style. The best part is sitting in a rocking chair on that porch at night with some cool people and a cool breeze, along with a beautiful view. I won't elaborate on anything else, other than to say. I love it there, and it may not be everyone's cup of tea. Especially for someone who likes to upgrade at casinos. The price is perfect. Be there in August. DO AC!
I can’t believe how inexpensive it is to stay there! It is a very special place! I should have the video finished tomorrow. So cool to tour it!

I went to the Landshark once a year or two ago and after waiting a hour the food was really not worth the wait. I hope they improved since then. I would go for a drink as it's always nice to sit on the beach. I'm heading down the end of June and am staying at a place I haven't been to before, the Marriot courtyard which is near the Hardrock. Have fun!
Yes the courtyard is in a great central location! I feel the same about Landshark I looked at how many people were there and I was like “nope”! It’s nice when it’s cold and empty! Have a great time!
My friend and I first overnights trip in AC we stayed at the Super 8.

My favorite breakfasts are at Perry's Cafe, next to the Howard Johnson's, on the Orange Loop. I don't know how they do it, but their eggs and coffee are perfect every time! (I've eaten there 15 times, no lie). Maybe it's the vacation air.

The best long term safe indoor parking is on New York between Pacific and Atlantic

Borgata is our fave (or least was, pre-MGM takeover. Still love it though).
For parking on the boardwalk, we’ve driven in and out of the Borgata garage, paid the $5, and kept the receipt to use same day at any of the other casinos since it’s transferable one time. Worth it in the summer when parking can be $40! Yes we’ll save every penny we can hahaha.
Oh hell ya! I’m not cheap but I hate paying to park my car! Lol is Borgata 5 dollars even on weekends? That’s a fabulous tip! Thank you!
@@JenniferSparksSavoy yep, it’s been $5 everyday since they opened! I think the only time it isn’t is when they have their birthday celebration around the 4th of July.
And right, we’ll splurge on some stuff but parking my car isn’t one of them! 😂
*I should add I haven’t been there in a few months, so things could’ve changed, but in the 20 years I’ve been going, even under MGM it’s been $5.
Stayed at the Irish Pub years ago on a trip to A C shared bathrooms I hope that has changed I was in my 20's then 60's now another great video in the summer I try to go each month!
Nothings changed. The price barely increased. No complaints here. Best part of staying in Atlantic City.
Thank you! They had a couple of rooms with shared bathrooms but some were private too for a extra charge. I will have a video tour coming out tomorrow morning :)
I wonder if that Super 8 has their pool open?! We went in early June, about this time, 7 years ago and stayed there; I liked it! Clean and affordable w/free breakfast, but they said the pool wouldn't be open to July 1st.

King's Pub used to be Pickalillys. If you go to the Irish Pub, avoid the food. It's okay for drinking and history but the food is awful. The best affordable food is Perry's at Pacific and Tennessee

Bally's is pretty nice. Don't like cheeseburgers. Am subscribed and even hit the like button. Another Pizza place. Resorts casino was the first to open on the Boardwalk. It was at the time owned by Donald J. Trump. Don't like Strombolis.

@@JenniferSparksSavoy Yes it was. Then Trump started to build a fourth hotel/casino so the Atlantic City Council passed a law that any person or company could only own three hotel/Casinos. So Trump sold Resorts to Merv Griffen.
The Showboat employees are criminals they tried to sneak into my room 7 o'clock in the morning.

I tried council oaks and was thoroughly disappointed.over priced and below average.I want to like the place as its visually cool but its an easy no way for me
