I Recently bought some recommended stocks and now they are just penny stocks. There seems to be more negative portfolios in the last 3rd half of 2023 with markets tumbling, soaring inflation, and banks going out of business. My concern is how can the rapid interest-rate hike be of favor to a value investor, or is it better avoiding stocks for a while?

Buy index ETF, not a recommended stock. You risk way to much with just a few of the stocks. Passive index investing is boring, lower-margin but way safer because of diversification.
You can buy a particular stock only if you have insider knowledge of the industry or something you know that the rest of the world doesn't know about it. If you don't have that knowledge you'd be buying the stock with upside already priced in.

Obviously, aside from possibly the very current environment in some western nations Real Estate is often the most accessible and easily leveraged investment most people can make and eventually turn into a passive income source...
I also do think down playing how much work usually goes I to developing a scaleable business.... That one task alone often require herculean efforts and time commitments for years and sometimes decades and that is ALLLLLLLLLLLL ACTIVE income.

I'm 37 and was a homeless teenager. I thought I was safe when I started working steadily, but now I'm learning how much time I've wasted. I would definitely go back to homeless 16 year old and believe I'd be a millionaire by now, with the knowledge I've gathered (especially now that I've found this channel). Michigan offers lots of help to kids your age)From there you can move to an apartment but if you trying to not be mediocre for all your life; start making content and learning how to help people!
Fail so they dont have to ask for likes and subs ect. Build a long term brand off of your good character.
Eventually you keep climbing your brain will become a tool for use and others will appreciate your perspective.

First thing is to not make decisions that shoot yourself in the foot. Example: insane college loan debt, credit card debt, taking on too many liabilities. Then become financially literate on your own (since they don’t teach person finance in schools it seems), and learn to create assets. Don’t get married Unless you have a prenup and even then wait until you are at least 35. Don’t acquire a bunch of material stuff-(just assets) and great experiences.

I think you might have a strong disconnect on how much money someone can save on minimum wage, especially working at less than a living wage for 10 years. That 10k would be more like 500 dollars, especially if they have some kind of medical emergency.

Also, get some more skills. $10k a year is PATHETIC. Amazon starts unskilled workers off at $15, that's $28k a year after taxes. You literally make less than a person with zero skills.

Great advice at first but 2 issues:
-Midway through it got super vague. "I will grow and scale my business" is great to say but how? Are you branching into different online ventures, are you planning on selling X amount of items, I don't need crazy details but I'm watching this video to grasp how you would do it. You are setting me up with a great story but you fall short towards the end.
-2nd issue is that this doesn't seem to factor any sort of expenses at all. Now I can see if this started out by saying "You are living at home to avoid expenses" but that can't be assumed. At some point that $30k-50k money will have to pay taxes and bills so its not as easy as "scale and grow", because in many situations that money can be used purely just to be getting buy depending on income.
I'm curious to definitely see your other videos though and don't take this as me needing a defined road map either. I'm already on my own path so I'm mostly watching this out of curiosity and entertainment,, yet it kind of left me high, dry and not viewing this as a realistic approach based entirely on the info given.
Sorry to be a downer with this comment though lol and overall good video!

I get where he’s coming from, but this video relied to much on the hypotheticals, he’s saying he’d have over 100,000 saved in two years from working at Walmart and drop shipping. I don’t see how that works in a real world situation. Walmart would only net you 50,000 in two years and the cost of living is equivalent or higher. How does he get to 100,000 with drop shipping in a year. I have a friend who does nothing but drop shipping and he’s made about 50,000 in two years and he’s doing everything he can. The first 100,000 is the hardest part and marks glossing over it too much for this video to be helpful.

It is not easy at all, it requires the mastery of all the skills I mentioned in the video but once you learn them you can transfer them to so many different business models :)

The key is learning marketing. I started with 2k, finally started feeling like I was getting somewhere after losing 1700 and then the pandemic shut me down and I lost it all.
Learned a ton, but even with 2k I wasn’t able to make it work for me simply because I knew nothing about marketing.

Drop shipping works but the way you do it is literally what he said, find business locally and sell their products. I used to do sakes for a dental company and I started my drop ship business because some of our customers sold strictly in person.

This man is so removed from the reality of the working class it’s such a joke, go from a job at McDonalds while paying rent, food and other expenses all while saving money to have an emergency fund that’ll last for 7 months to stay out of debt while you can’t even afford what you’re doing now. Then take that, invest in an index fund and turn your 10k income it’s 75k in a year. Good luck

I agree on the disconnect, but the retainment of knowledge is the key to this hypothetical exercise. When you know how to make a million, you can do it again faster. Most of us are fumbling around trying to figure it out. I'm a Dave Ramsey FPU coordinator and the key to millions for the average person is 401k and IRA compound interest. Save early and often.

being 16 and living with parents is gonna save you lots of money. minimum wage job +side hustle such as rideshare/ delivery service working 16 hrs a day+ no living expenses can get you going pretty fast. its just that no 16 year old is gonna want to do that.
