@@krisp1871 The original Django, Franco Nero, also appeared in Django Unchained. Unchained is one of my favourite ever movies, but the machine gun scene in the original Django is legendary.
His voice is like a hybrid of Elvis and Marty Robbins... I love it!

Franco Nero is 80 years old at the time of this writing. I’ve tried to see all his films and Django (1966) and Street Law (1974) are my favorites. The man does most of his acting through his eyes.
His eyes are incredible. From one Django to another his eyes don't change and there's something like 46years between the two movies. A truly magnificent actor.

I saw this movie back in 2014 when my wife was sick, in and out of the emergency room twice a week. She would take her pain medicine and I watched her sleep, happy she had some relief, as this song played over and over... I only heard "djangooooo" and "regrettinggggg". She left me Sept 23rd, and for the 1st time I HEARD the lyrics... being sung about... me...

....at sixty years old I am still very much attached to the genre of western movies since the 60's when I was a kid in the primary school going to the cinema in the neighbouring village and I still have a very big collection to be watched by me whence possible..lovely days when technology was still in the cradle..

For years I found one tiny moment in Django Unchained, absolutely hilarious and I had no idea why. The bit when he spells his name for the Italian then says "The D is Silent" and the Italian replies "I know". Its just clicked in my brain. Those piercing blue eyes.. That Italian was Franco Nero!!!! The original Django.

Funny how people in the comments section don`t even know that Tarantino`s Django is a homage to the homonymous 66 movie and that this song was written for that movie and for that Django.

Excellent song to me that brings tears. There's a strong error in text on both Django videos
Hear it carefully. Its not - "You may be sad but remember love will pass away"
for it surely won't in Django's case. Correct edition is rather , "You may be sad, but remember they'll all soon pass away (grey clouds)
Check at the source. Hope you'll correct it.
