I wish a local based horse pull it off but i know it's going to be very tough...Jamaica needs an infusion of better sires...the overall quality of Jamaican horses are very sub-standard.
@Alp560 not really...these horses shipped in because the purse money is attractive, some of these US based horses are mid level claimers, they would not get the opportunity to run for this big a purse in the USA...not sure what their plans are after the race but it would be good if they stay to add to the stallion roster.
Fact we need better Stallions the quality of our Local horse is the two best Local bred horse in Jamaica is Atomica and Mahagony and even at their best they are no match for Foreign horse.
