What a treat that was. My buddies and I drove down from Vancouver to see it and it was one of the greatest live shows we've ever wtinessed. This just topped it all off!
¡U F! i don’t think he ruined it,, i like all of what gorillaz does, the changes just make it a new song! i really like both this version and the new one! but of course we are all entitled to our opinions :)
If Damon made an album with a Gorillaz take on Country music, I'd buy it, and I don't even like the genre lmao. Seriously, this song has no business being as good as it is, and yet I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Lol, he seriously restarted the entire song because of a click. Then the dude does the click anyways. Edit: I finally got what the issue was. At the end he wanted just the piano and vocals and the dude kept the percussion. Lol, they made it to the end of the song and then started it from the beginning.
will Damon told a story at the Seattle concert about visiting Idaho just before the show for Jesse's birthday. They were at Bruce Willis' ski lodge and he was really struck by the scenery. At the time I just thought it was sort of a ballad about Idaho but after listening to it more on the album I see a lot of the song is contrasting the majesty of the location with the loneliness of being on the road- bullets through the road signs and the silver lining getting lost. Then you have the line about Tinsel Town being down the road it's the bullet or the noose. So you have the contrast with the solitude of Idaho when just a few days from then they would be in Hollywood.
He said "forget about the fucking click and just play". The band had been trying to time the song to the click of the slide change, and it wasn't working. Then he said something like "I just want to get it right for you all". He restarts songs pretty frequently in concert if he's not happy with how they're going.
I still can't believe I was there. I drove down the 12 hours from Calgary and it was 1000% worth it.
They should have performed it in Idaho
Damn the lyrics really changed from there to now
The Phosphorate now now
He sings songs differently live

We drove up from Oregon, and it was a great show!
Best concert I've ever been to, Damon Albarn grabbed me hand when he was up on the railing
Space Ghost C2C
That's crazy, dude!
Same, saw them in atlanta last year and got to lock hands when he went into the pit. So many surprise guests. Worth every dollar.
Can’t believe they made a song about my state. I guess Idaho is really the best state to relax in
Shit this is beautiful and this is coming from a guy who doesn’t like country the slide guitars and pianos add a nice touch 😄
This is gonna be on the new album
you were correct
asterism vela
ya sadly Damon ruined it by taking out that guitar we hear here
¡U F! i don’t think he ruined it,, i like all of what gorillaz does, the changes just make it a new song! i really like both this version and the new one! but of course we are all entitled to our opinions :)
it's crazy how much the lyrics have changed
I prefer this to the album version, but both are beautiful!
The best versión for this song
It has a real Blur vibe more than other Gorillaz songs
One of the best on the NOW NOW.
Still working out the kinks here. I guess they didn't even take it to studio by that point. Thank you for uploading, that was cool! :D
Literally my favorite song
I remember this concert...
Its a good song 😀👍
best version yet!
It was awesome live but in Idaho it’s almost as amazing xD
I saw this in LA, dope.
Gonna see this in Montreal really excited!!
The lyrics changed in the album version
Beck Vibes
splash mountain music but living life on the edge
Demon Dayz vibesss
men i love horses...................................
the second time was so much better lmao
This is what Humanz should have been, Damon and some solid backing vocals. Not a dozen collab tracks.
well its in the now now, now
It feels like country

I've got a chicken skin
Is this the one which is gonna be included in the now now album?
Hris chan Yes it's on the track list for the new album

WHO DISLIKED THIS VIDEO?????!!!
cringe
We were robbed of an actual gorillaz country song, the official song sounds too much like a lullaby than a country song
Anybody know why they made a song about Idaho I'm just real confused

beautiful song and place
Have you ever been to Idaho? I'm not talking Boise either. It is so peaceful and beautiful here.
Wait why did Damon restart, I didn’t know what he said
