sir in Qn seepage is horizontal therefore pore water prrssure is zero and eff. stress is equal to total stress =22... the we get the ans of this Qn is option "D" IS EQUAL TO 22.20
Sir... why we take the head loss instated of head difference when we calculate permeablity of a soil sample? Though the velocity of water through soil depends on the head difference.

h is not the available head..it is the head due to which flow is occurring.. although head loss term is rightly used

Jab head difference aayega tabhi head loss hoga
Sir, I think the effective pressure should be counted considering the centre of mass of the soil unit given.
