Thanks for the video. Im installing mine atm. I just have a quick question. I dont have a sub/backup camera. Can i connect the wires on the new Aucar and just leave them unconnected with bo issues for use at a later time if i decide to add what I'm missing?
I didn’t notice if you had one, but if so, did you have trouble with the connection for your backup camera? Currently all the connections I’ve tried on mine have resulted in no signal, green screen, or black screen.
you have to make sure your using the right connection for ur backup camera, and have it wired correctly . Because there's multiple ways to wire it depending how u want it to be triggered. For example when u go in reverse, or have it constantly on
@@Vq_Kev looking at the user guide it seems the wrong connection was sent with our unit. We’ve also ran into the issue of needing a passcode to change settings to US. Tried the common ones but no luck.
Just installed mine on my 2013 370 Nismo and is not controlling my car A/C at all. Not even the steering wheel volume. I am waiting for Nifty City staff to see what's up.

the audio isn't that great when compared to a dedicated stereo in my opinion, this is more tablet than stereo. I had to use an Amplifier for my sound system to sound better
they have separate harnesses for it. but it will still function I just don't know how the maps will display since my version didn't have the navigation system to begin with. I would message nifty to make sure
I have an amp and I can say the audio is decent. with my double din it sounded way better. This device is really a tablet the signal it gives for audio isn't the greatest. But for the average person it's prob enough.
@@nicka5252 About 2 weeks. Just watch out if you pay for the extra memory. I did and didn't get it. NiftyCity credited me back for the mistake once I brought it to their attention.
go to their support page, then you can download it onto a USB you have to use an apple product tho, it doesn't like the android formats for some odd reason. once u download it onto the USB just plug it into the tablet and it does the rest on its on
I've had the unit for a couple months now no issues except for some audio issues with my amp, the Android auto can be glitchy at times, pretty sure the update will solve it. besides that it's solid.

I'm not sure, but I don't believe so, and on the top right it has 3 modes for brightness so you can adjust it. It also has a day/night mode to make it easier to view, it works with your headlights/
@@Vq_Kev I'm sure it auto dims with the headlights too which would help, but there are times when I'm driving and I just want to turn the screens off and enjoy the night drive
Be careful. The system never worked for me. I had to mail it back to China 3x on my own dime ($70.00/shipping). Then the final time I was meant to get a refund and they stopped answering emails. Don’t bother with them

I have 2 amps one for my sub nd one for for speakers. I don't have the bose amp

it can adjust the brightness so it's not really an issue. my windows are tinted so I haven't really had an issue with glares

I wired it to one of the cables that corresponded to the illumination so that it turns on when the stereo does.

did you use the splitter for the sub? also in the settings you have to turn it on by saying you have an aftermarket amp
by any chance is your apple carplay not connecting to your phone? just constantly loading?
it used to do that before the update. the recent July update fixed it for me
How do you update? I’ve talked to them but they say it’s happening to everyone, that they are looking for new software for CarPlay

did you leave the signal antennas for phone connection (apple carplay) in back of unit with other wires?
the antennas I routed them towards the tweeters so they would get better signal

Can you still use your factory usb port? Nifty said that it is not retainable in the glove box versions.

so far it's good, they have updates for it so you can make sure it stays in shape.

my phone does the hotshot, but I'm debating getting the sim so it has mobile data all the time to avoid draining my phone. cuz Hotspot speed is slow

you need to ground it to ensure the connections are good and you don't get static/interference

yea it auto dims, the brightness u can lower alot! it's alot of modes. but not completely off

It wasn't working for me, I believe that feature wasn't available for the Z stock which is why it doesn't work in my opinion.
It can't work on a car that doesn't have that feature to begin with. Plus, how is that a feature you need in a 2 seater anyway? 🤷
