This is George's take on "Hoochie Coochie Man ( as is Hendrix's Voodoo Chile). I first saw them on either SNL or Fridays (it was over 40 yrs ago).

Eddie Murphy teaches the kids about music courtesy a drum kit he stole from Smokey Robinson's van on an episode of Mister Robinson's Neighborhood. Fridays, January 9, 1981, George Thorogood and the Destroyers performed "I'm Wanted" and "Can't Stop Lovin'." George Carlin was the guest host. The Plasmatics performed "Living Dead" and "Butcher Baby." on the next episode, January 16, 1981. Shelley Winters was the guest host. Crazy! I must have seen them back then too because I remember buzzing over Eddie Murphy in class the following Monday.

Whenever I hear this song, I always think of The Terminator 2.
George made up for an ordinary voice with great energy and stage presence. You have to watch him in action to appreciate, not merely listen.
Yeah, but its the rhythm that makes the tunes. Whether he is doing the "Bo Diddley beat" or channeling Elmore James. It always grooves.

it always make me laugh to know that George and the band was from Delaware. i saw the interview where Bo Diddley and George couldn't stop pouring admiration on each other...i guess it takes one who is bad to the bone to know one when they see it...going to take a shot of whiskey, scotch and beer now

4:09 I love the way George made his guitar sound like a horse whinny..and what a ROWDY sax solo before that. Its just a one chord jam in the key of G, but what I liked most about it? Just when everyone thought the bar blues sound was dead in the music biz, Thurgood and his boys proved 'em wrong! Fun watching ya chair dance!!

Great pick/reaction! I was a DJ in Chicago , circa 1989 and 1990. If the dancers on my floor began to dwindle in number, my go to hotmix was Bad To The Bone, mixed with Keep Your Hands To Yourself [Georgia Satellites]. Guaranteed to pack the floor! Both classics.

You probably heard this song in the movie, Terminator 2: Judgement Day. They used the theme when Arnold Schwarzenegger, as the Terminator, got on a motorcycle, at night, with sunglasses on.

Loved your seated dance moves, but this is one of those times where you should have played the MTV Video. George goes into a Pool Hall and meets up with Bo Diddley and World Champion Pool Player Willie Moscone, and the results are pretty fun to watch. Saw George back in the late 80's, and now I'm going to see him again in about a month. Yup still alive and touring, Can't wait.

@keith goode when I was in the navy, we had an airplane that we named Christine, in reference to the movie. If she liked you she would fly when she probably shouldn't have. But if she didn't, nothing you did would get her in the air.

We covered this in so many biker bars . The guys always replace the part. bad to the Bone. With " Bad With My Bone" And it didn't matter what town we was in they would Sing " Bad with my Bone" I look back on it how did these people all sing the same verse hundreds of miles apart . This was in the 80s no cell phones no internet no social networking. 😮
