Sukuna is never bonding with Itadori. So what you see is completely Itadori's own strenght

I love Yuuji so much, he's by far one of the most enjoyable MCs I've come across in shounen. It annoys me that he's constantly overlooked in his own show?? Because when you read the manga and watch the anime, there is objectively no reason for fans to ignore him? He is genuinely likable and fun, has amazing emotional development and physical feats in the show, and has amazing chemistry with every character he's paired with which in turn makes them more likable and helps get their personalities to shine. The fact that the fandom is just obsessed with the typical "edgy" and overpowered characters is fine, but when it gets to the point where fans downplay yuuji is when I have a problem with it and that's been happening lately and it's beyond aggravating.
Unfortunately shounen is geared towards boys who mostly care about power scaling and edginess , both of which Yuuji falls short in hence why people tend to talk about a lot of other people in the show cause Yuji isn’t even close to being top 10 strongest and he has no techniques. It’s sad cause he’s such an amazing character

@@lolalouiseee for top 10 strongest ( I don’t mean physical strength alone btw since Yuji although physically strong can’t put up a fair fight with certain techniques and domain expansions so far ) Gojo, Sukuna , Yuta, Yuki, Kenjaku , Maki, Hakari , the cursed family ( Jogo etc) Toji , Choso , Naoya ( mostly cause Yuji can’t keep up with his speed , uraume etc. as for edginess , I don’t necessarily mean the broody types alone. Jujutsu kaisen is probably the best example for this . We have a lot of quirky unhinged characters , like Gojo , Megumi when he’s being tested especially recently , Maki , even Nobara is very crazy , badass types like Toji and recently I see people saying Yuta should have been the protagonist cause he kills and stuff so that’s why I think most people would tend to prefer characters like that who kill without really dwelling on it. For someone like Yuji he reflects on it more than others , which to me is even better cause we need someone like that In the show, who clearly only 6 months ago got thrown into this chaotic world with zero breaks . Also Gege does a good job of giving a lot of side characters their own time to shine even if just for a little so sometimes some people assume that makes Yuji less of a main character which I don’t believe

They're basically in the same boat as Yuuji who is naturally like that unlike Maki and Toji who are only like that because of a heavenly restriction placed on them. But in the end, they would still lose to the other people on that list other than Naoya and Choso. Whenever people bring up Toji and Maki in strength conversations but leave out Yuuji despite knowing how he is and now with the added information in the manga as to WHY he's so enhanced physically, I think it opens up his threshold a bit despite not having a cursed technique. I completely agree with you about the reason people like the side characters. They definitely like the flashy ones that are morally bleak. You are absolutely right about the Toji and Maki thing. I think it’s just people who keep wanting this RAW factor of killing people that keep trying to down play Yuji. It’s become even more unbearable with Yuta’s reintroduction in the recent chapters. Like I love Yuta and obviously he reached his full potential way faster than Yuuji because he’s a special grade and 2. his story was only four chapters long so of course he’s reached his peak faster , but wanting him as the MC with the story we have now ??? I don’t see how that would work . One thing that already makes Yuji stand out is the fact he can hold the king of curses which no one has ever been able to do ever even Sukuna was shook about it , like that alone should be something people need to factor in when talking about physical strength and endurance. Few complaints I’ve seen is that they want him to start using Sukuna’s techniques and not just martial arts . The reason they don’t do this similarly for Maki and Toji is cause they also use weapons I guess and you know how people love their weapons ( me included tbh ) . But the fact that kenny literally birthed him and still has some very despicable plans for him already sets him very high up the list in terms of intrigue so idk what else people want from him . Like I love a lot of the characters in this show it’s actually a testament to Gege’s ability to really have top tier characters even with most of them not even having any major major flashbacks , but these are very awesome characters which I am glad he gives time too because God forbid we get a Naruto situation where everything becomes about two characters and everyone else be damned. That is a good writing choice tbh. I like when characters grow overtime slowly bit by bit. I don't like 180 degree character turn like one second the mc is good hearted and then suddenly after 1 arc he becomes cold hearted which breaks the immersion imo, eg: Canute from Vinland Saga, don't get me wrong Vinland Saga is a great series(I am an anime only) and I wanted to see Canute grow as character and become more brave but the way his character had total 180 degree so suddenly it broke the immersion for me, his character does show a lot of potential and I hope we get to see more of his growth overtime.

I love his look. It is unique to me. I also love his smile. I read he loses it in Shibuya arc but I hope he gets it back. He reminds me of a pure and good Gon (but he actually cares about all lives) and I want him to be ok lol.
Yuji is wholesome, and cute😊 Even though he's gone through a lot, he's optimistic and smiley. The best thing about him is that if he's happy he'll be all cheery and bouncy, if he's sad he'll be calmer but won't let his sadness get to others around him, if he's curious or doesn't understand anything he'll just say so. I think that makes him impossible to hate.✨️ And it also helps bring out the more caring sides of people around him i.e Megumi, Nanami, Gojo, Nobara etc. He's also a fast learner as Todo and even the plant curse pointed out. And he was already pretty powerful before he swallowed Sukuna's fingers ( i personally thought his reasons for this were a bit rash and naive though, almost like he thought he had no reason to keep living and it was his way of being useful, his last known relative DID die that same day). He wishes the best for those around him, which that act also showed...and many others after. And the wakuwaku!😄❤️✨️ I hope his character continues to grow stronger, deeper and more loved as the anime continues✨️
Honestly I think the reason why he's kinda underrated in his own show it's because he brings the best out-of the characters around him... Like I'm pretry sure gojo, nanami, todo and megumin wouldn't have been has adored as they are if it wasn't for the interactions they have with yuji

I think that makes him impossible to hate.✨️ And it also helps bring out the more caring sides of people around him i.e Megumi, Nanami, Gojo, Nobara etc.
He's also a fast learner as Todo and even the plant curse pointed out. And he was already pretty powerful before he swallowed Sukuna's fingers ( i personally thought his reasons for this were a bit rash and naive though, almost like he thought he had no reason to keep living and it was his way of being useful, his last known relative DID die that same day). He wishes the best for those around him, which that act also showed...and many others after.
