That is just incredible and stunning...cannot even believe this type of luxury is possible at base camp...the geodesic dome...the luxury tents and the food looked awesome...that would definitely give one a big advantage to begin any cimb...

This is incredible but kind a disappointed with its luxury. They really did commercialized climbing the Everest sooner or later climbing the it would be impossible because of how many people are trying to summit it...
Typical of Americans, build a damn hotel up in the mountains, while Mount Everest is supposed to represent a mortal challenge and an experience of a lifetime. I suppose most people just want to take pictures of the mountains for social media and spend rest of their time like they would in the comfort of their own home.
How much would it cost to stay at base camp and not climb the mountain for 3 months? I reckon that is the most exciting part listening to what's happening on the mountain and hanging around the campsite.
I've wanted to visit this area so badly ever since an Elementary school field trip I went on to the IMAX where they showed a trailer for a movie about Mt. Everest. Totally blew my 7 year old mind. I may not be wealthy enough to climb it, but at least going to the base camp would be awesome.

Im pretty sure mark zuckerbeg is going to climb mount everest soon and expects a huge celebration when he comes back down. He'll probably gain a few pounds from the climb as well ...
@ashleychamon6446 becuz of Covid, nobody was really climbing that mountain. To compensate for the huge loss, the country gave out record number of permits and so a huge influx of personnel tried to climb it all at once creating a death choke point that resulted in record number of death. Which is a unique situation and not the norm. My initial comment was just a joke about the luxurious facilities and the sherpas(?) Who does pretty much all the work these days and all u gotta do is just go up the mountain.
all credit goes to Sherpa people. They make it happen,without them its impossible to climb Everest.
