No they are not the same thickness. Because the bodymaker will iron the walls by forcing it trough a set of rings. The redraw ring only forms the cup and doesn't make the walls thinner. The 1st, 2nd and 3rd ring iron the cup into a can. But that only happens to the walls of the can not the bottom. So the bottom stays about the same thickness as a cup (from the cupper) feel free to ask more. I work at a can factory:)
