Hey everyone, I just wanted to say there are ways to make fluffier crust and fresher tomato sauce and more elaborate toppings, but this has become my streamlined routine. You can make in 15 minutes of prep time and 20-25 minutes of cook time one you get it down. Also, if you are intimidated by the cashew sauce because you are higher carb, feel free to make less and blob it on like mozzarella. Let me know if you try a gluten free version. I will say that some people who generally feel stomach upset after eating gluten didn't have it with this, possibly because it was free of any additives that you might find in bread or other pizza crust, who knows. Gluten video coming soon.
Mic. the Vegan this looks delicious!!! Can you do a video on mr and Mrs vegan/basic vegan bitch's diet?? Obviously excess fat isn't good for us and oil is literally trash but basic vegan bitch literally said to skip "the fatty guac" at chipotle and it's worrying that people will start to have an eating disorder mindset about whole plant fats :/
My pizza toppings: black olives, zucchini, tomato, mushroom, pineapple, onion, dried mixed herbs and capsicum. My new sauce recipe is simply tomato paste watered-down with ketchup, with grated garlic.
The vegan community really needs more videos like this. I think some people are put off by vegan eating because of how complicated and expensive it tends to be made out to be by other TH-camrs. Thank you for your contribution
this was so cute! when I started watching this channel I was transitioning into being vegan (I spent about 2 months as a "v[egg]an") but after watching your videos and how passionate you are with your lifestyle it really inspired me!( I've been completely vegan for about 1.5 months) I'm still a baby vegan, but this is probably going to be my favourite channel throughout my whole journey.
gross Mary's test kitchen is a great channel with some amazing recipes. And as mentioned before, the vegan corner is probably the go to channel for new vegans. So many good recipes. Thanks to them I feel like a chef now lmao
I JUST tried this recipe. I only did one thing different, I added two tablespoons of nutritional yeast to the cashew sauce. WOW! Just WOW! This is a really good recipe. It only took me 15 minutes like Mic said it would and it is so darn good. Healthy, oil free and delicious! This will become a regular for my household
I just tried this. The "cheese" is so creamy and yummy. I have never imagined it be of such tastiness and am thankful for your recipe. Totally gave me a boost to keep looking for new recipes and never think plants cant be delicious!
If y'all don't have a Vitamix, you can still get creamy cashew sauces by boiling & soaking your nuts. I have an old nutribullet, & I've had best results bringing cashews to a boil for 5-10 minutes, covering the pot, removing it from the burner & letting the cashews sit for 30-60 minutes, or longer if you prefer. Drain the excess liquid from them & toss into a blender to mix with the other ingredients. Works like a charm 👌
Have you seen Vegan Voyager's recipe for mac and cheese sauce? She boils cashews with potatoes, drains, then blitzes them, and it results in a creamy sauce to flavor as you like. I've started using this method--rinsing the cashews first for a bit to remove surface impurities--and it has so many applications.
this pizza is so healthy??? and nice??? and so easy????? I had never witnessed pizza with so little ingredients and yet it managed to look amazing (and probably taste amazing too) I'm astounded. Pls make more of this recipe videos they make my day
It looks very bland and gross. I have never thought that I will see an unappealing pizza until I watched this video. Just add olive oil and some real cheese. Anorexic pseudo-science simps!
Do it. I was too lazy before pizza before I lazified this. If you are even beyond my laziness you can ditch the cashew sauce and throw some avocado on.
My thought exactly. I thought I couldn't make dough because I never see yeast in stores! Game changer. Not sure about the cashew sauce but I could eat just crust, tomato sauce and toppings haha.
This pizza looks very bland and gross. I have never thought that I will see an unappealing pizza until I watched this video. Just add olive oil and some real cheese. Anorexic pseudo-science simps!
I don't know if you have tried this, but something I have found tasty is to put a layer of hummus down first and then the sauce then the toppings. It's one of my favorite cheese swaps for pizza. And just a side note, thank you for these videos. You are how my husband and I switched from just vegan to whole food vegan.
My Monday started out so sucky and I have been hardcore craving pizza, but can't have yeast. This totally brighten up my day!!!! Please post more recipes!!
I figured this would get miss interperated any way i typed it lol. What i am trying to say is that we went vegan, and this act is partially thanks to Mic but mostly based on our own reasons. Hope that cleared it up!
Yup. But my pizza takes a lot longer, because I enjoy creating amazing toppings and neatly assemble them (with chilies, champignons, dried tomatoes, garlic, onions, pickled peppers, olives...). My gf can't get enough of it :) I usually don't make it completely oil free though, as I like the self-made "cheese" which takes a bit of vegetable oil, wheat flour, and a mixture of water, nutritional yeast, mustard and some starch (tapioca or arrowroot).
@@pixoariz yeahhh as a chef this makes me cringe. Just add some salt and some yeast and knead it and you’d actually have pizza dough. Doesn’t need oil, and it wouldn’t be a cracker
cool music, and cool pizza! but not when you heated up the pizza, then it wasn't cool anymore. Then it was hot. Until it cooled down, then it was cool again.
This video made me so happy. I only became a vegan 9 days ago but your videos have made it real easy. I honestly believe I will never turn back. I'm taking to it surprisingly well. Thank you.
multitasking tools free up so much counter space, for those of us with few places to put cooking implements, and less money to waste, an egg slicer works for anything that needs thin uniform slices...
Hi Mic ☺️ Just made this pizza.. it's delicious. I enjoy the videos. I have learned a lot . been Vegan for about a year 1/2. Oil is my challenge but working on it.
You have such a great channel, man. I don't have any specific requests, but it would be great if you did more of these recipes. I like your total dismissal of measuring (exactly how I cook), and of I course I love that it's whole foods. Awesome video, as always.
Great video man. One small tweak I picked up from another video regarding the sauce: You could add cauliflower and nutritional yeast to the ingredients you already threw in there to thicken it a bit more (and to give it more of a cheesy flavor).
I love love love you're peer reviewed science videos but these recipe videos are just so cute, wholesome and helpful, thank you for creating such amazing content for everyone!
Hi Mic. I made this last night and I was really impressed. The main thing that puts me off making homemade pizza is the crust. Your version was so simple yet so good!!! The "cheese" was also surprisingly nice. I made add a bit of Nutritional Yeast next time, just to bring out a slightly stronger "cheese" flavour. Thanks for making this video! :-)
Man, I loved this idea for cheese sauce so I tried it. Not quite right until I added pa few tablespoons of Organic white miso paste. BAM! I now have a cheese for my pizza. Oh, I also added nutritional yeast. That might not be needed. Thanks! I LOVE your channel. You do a great job and are WELL SPOKEN.
bro honestly, your videos are really good! Very quick and easy recipe. Clear and helpful instructions. Very concise and on point. Keep this going! Wish all th best
Thanks Mic! I'm definitely going to try the crust. I find myself not eating pizza at all because the pre-made dough's are full of crap and I thought making a dough would be too much effort. Two ingredients and no real waiting, I'm in!
I like to add nutritional yeast to the pepper sauce to make it taste cheesie also sprinkle some more on after baking. Like your toppings! I add chopped onions green peppers and cherry tomato halves too. I forgot how easy it is to make homemade organic pizza! Thanks for reminding me!
I made this pizza tonight. It's very yummy but I wasn't able to eat it because the crust comes out very crisp, and I can't chew it with my dentures. I scraped the toppings off and ate that and it was delicious. I am very impressed with how the "cheese" sauce came out. Super tasty. I will make this again but I will look for a softer bread layer.
Love the minimal ingredients! As a college student, this seems really doable! I'd probably swap the cashew cheese for avocado but I had never realized you can make yeast free pizza! Maybe I should stop eating oatmeal for every meal and give this a go...
celestialotter ha, I thought I was the only person in the world who eats multiple oatmeal meals every day! It's so good though.. I made a rice bowl for dinner and I could barely get it down..
I know! I just love oatmeal so much it is hard to include other things in my diet! I'm just the kind of person who finds a thing they love and sticks with it. (Plus oatmeal's really cheap and quick)
So I just finished eating my pizza, IT WAS AMAZING!!!!! The cashew & pepper cheese was delicious, quite smokey in flavour, I ate most of it while I waited for my dough to rise 🙊, thanks Mic 😋😊
I love this!!! Super helpful. Normally your diet seems a bit too restrictive and hard for someone who loves processed food like myself. Your diet = diet goals? Lol. First time I've watched a more "normal" recipe vid from your channel and it makes the idea seem more friendly. Thanks so much Mic. :)
Wow, the man is sharing a cooking recipe! Wow! : ) Never know, I could make that. I have not craved pizza yet, oddly. I am only back being vegan for about 7 months now, so that is bound to change. Fun to see u in a different type of video : ) Thanks Mike.
Last pizza I did was no oil , just flour on the baking pan ( idk why you have to use parchment?) spread the dough, put some pureed tomato on , sautee mushrooms and spinach wiht also some tomato sauce, put it on the doug , and drop some more tomato puree on it , it was the best vegan pizza i made since i went vegan, and i made it like 5-6 times
I like your recipes & the way you present them. Edit: Made this last night. The cashew cheese sauce was to die for! I did add 1 Tb nutritional yeast flakes & a dash of salt to the cashew sauce. The sauce seems liquidy, but it sets up when baked ~ do not omit this! The crust was thin & not great, but quick & easy to make ~ I added a little salt & next time will try adding 1 Tb oil & a little baking powder. Mine had olives & mushrooms. Will definitely make this again! : )
I've been making the dough with just water and flour too recently and I'm happy with it. Also turns out that the acid reflux I sometimes used to get from eating the same pizza with yeast has nothing to do with gluten as I thought, but actually yeast. Wonder how many people who are "sensitive" to gluten are actually reacting to the yeast. Also if you're gonna use parchment paper like I do usually, you won't get much in the way of a crusty crust. Foil is probably better if that's what you want.
Nice video! I like to use whole grain pita pockets for my crust when I can't be bothered to make it myself. Don't forget that nutritional yeast for maximum awesomeness!
Dr. Klaper has a great oil-free salad dressing recipe that I make frequently. I love it. It is made up of 1 avocado, a sliver of apple, a lot of lemon or lime juice, ground up cashew, almond, and flax seed, and a couple baby carrots. Chop up the carrots and apples, mash that avocado, squeeze that citrus juice, mix in the nuts all in a food processor/grinder/mixer, and spread it on your salad. It's delicious. You should make it.
Thanks for the video Mic, gonna have to try it out. We've made some really great, vegan pizza's at home, some with a cauliflower crust, which have been excellent. But trying to get rid of the oil and this looks like a good start.
I like to use Bob Mills Gluten Free pizza crust flour blend. Tastes just like regular pizza crust. I used to have a lot of health issues, which went away once I cut out gluten. To speed things up I buy an organic pizza sauce from Whole Foods. I top mine with peppers, mushrooms, onions, pesto, pine nuts, and occasionally vegan pepper jack cheese. :)

Love these types of videos man! They're super useful
Looks really delicious, great idea for my Vegan food sample stand , thank you
I like to use Bob Mills Gluten Free pizza crust flour blend. :)
