I am amazed at your creativity sir. I have been working with wood for more than seventy years and am not easily impressed by the work of others. I also suffer from O.C.D. so, corners must be square and even, sliding parts must never hang and anything made must be able to be used by everyone. I simply love the simplicity of your creation. I can see myself making these not only for my drill press but for my router table and band saw also....keeping my old fingers away from the cutting edges of blades of any type is a preoccupation of mine. In any case, my hat is off to you sir.

What kind of wood boards are those at the beginning of the video at 00:30? Very nice wood.. Laminated Block Boards made from some type of wood.

I know I'm late to the party, but I'm making one of these now, and it is so cool.
It's forcing me out of my comfort zone, and making me think...
Thank you so much for the video.

Brilliant idea which I intend to use immediately. It appears that you've used hardwood that makes sense. I imagine a couple of potential improvements I wish to add to my version. First, I'd avoid presenting wood's side grain to the dovetail grove's overhang. I imagine that it could be better supported be running wood grain across it. In my attempt to do this, I'd build up the top section with pieces from a pallet plained flat and assembled in a glue up for three layers in exchange for the two you employ. Only my top section would be pivoted from perpendicular in order to cross the lower section with a mitre angel... 45°. This incline would slant the wood grain in order to support the weak point against the strain that can be expected from cinching down against the dovetail groove. In areas where high pressures are expected, further support can be given by aiming a sequence of screws upward from the bottom. My other alteration would use a circular sacrificial piece in the place that the drill bit is expected to erode. Even better would be to so place a smaller circle in the large circle so the sacrificial small one can be turned in place under the bit for countless opportunities to resist drill damage. The larger circle would be given a tapered edge because it can be entrapped during glue up. If done wisely, it could advance three sacrificial small circles in turn, each the same size and most easily replaceable. Thanks for your thought provoking video.
