I used to listen to Pastor Jakes years ago, but the more popular he became, he started quoting the Bible scripture’s incorrectly. I even called his office to let him know he was quoting scriptures wrong. He would then comeback on the air and correct his mistakes. One thing this encouraged me to read the Bible for myself. He still at times quote scriptures incorrectly, I just stop calling him and discontinued listening to him. I used to go different places to him preach, but stopped going realizing I am better off reading and studying the Bible for myself.
