i purchased my first maple from y'all at the hendo garden jubilee about five years ago: an orangeola. since then, i've been hooked. i love the mrmaple story, it is one of the coolest i've heard in the business world, and the history of three generations of maple lovers growing trees and then beginning to propogate them is such a beautiful thing. fast forward to now. what do we want? gallons of bloody talons fellas.
These boys always put out outstanding information. Very informative and just appreciate their love and knowledge about the many Japanese Maples. My wife and I purchased over 20 plus Japanese Maples and even made a trip to their NC location just to get a Mayday!
I had wanted to ask you guys to do a video on the trees that hold their foliage longest into the fall. For me, Moon Rise and Baton Rouge held their foliage long after others had dropped. Idk if it's my microclimate or a selling point. Thanks for the video and Happy New Year!
I got 3 of the top 25 this year. Some I already have. I was excited to get Jordan, Ilarian, Katsura, Moonrise, Dancing Peacock, O Isami, Phantom Flame, and Claw of the Dragon, & Sweet Lorraine I have a few more on my list for 2024. 😊. I may have to join Maple Addicts Anonymous. Happy New Year.
EXCELLENT presentatin For bonsai please talk about leaf size and internode size. For southwest customers talk about arid tolerance and stripping off leaves for second (small leaf) set if first set curls.
I feel so lucky to live so close to y’all. I got my first JP from Mr. Maple. I have friends looking, and I have talked them into a road trip from Asheville. I desperately want them to see the front yard in your parent’s house. I bought my last one from your mom at the farmers market in Asheville. I can’t wait to bring my friends to Flat Rock. 🥰💝🥰💝🥰💝🥰💝
All 11 of my cultivars are in the top 50. Apparently my tastes are pretty common 😊. I’m one of the people responsible for your “first time” gardeners in ‘23.
@@MrMapleShow You're very welcome. I'm very picky about who I do any kind of online business, and you guys are fantastic. I hope your business thrives and continues to grow in '24!
We always give sizes after 10 years because we find the term “at maturity” to be untrue. They can keep growing each year they are alive. I’ve seen a 400 year old Japanese maple in Japan :)

Big numbers in 2024
most of them will survive in dallas fort worth zone ?
Lots of amazing maples in Dallas! Typically late day shade is preferred
@@MrMapleShow you mean most of them need to be in the shade ? how about summer TX heat ?
