Just got news that here at my dealer the mark up is going to be huge. We are only getting one, and it’s a champion white

Damn, this is exciting to see, although markups are likely to be steep. Boost Blue is a great color, I’m glad for it. Champ white should be more frequent though prefer it over grey or red
same! We're getting closer! The media drives will take place next month and I should be able to see it at the Los Angeles auto show, so may sure you keep an eye out on my channel for more type r content. I'll definitely make more videos on it when I see it next month.

I put a deposit on one 3 months ago in Australia and Honda advised that I’d pretty much have no chance getting a championship white. Luckily I actually like the sonic grey pearl the best out of all of them so that’s what I went with. I’d actually take any colour to be honest but SGP is my first choice.

It wouldn’t make sense for someone who isn’t into the car to buy it, making it a safe bet that those who do like it are able to buy it. there are plenty of people who do like the car and plenty who don’t. I like the look of the FK8 more as well inside and out but the 2023 is my first civic type r I’m purchasing. If I wanted to pick up a 2020-2021 FK8 in Australia I’d be spending at least 20+ more than sticker price.

Here's what I'm predicting. People are gonna purchase the hell out of this car, then Acura releases a Type S version of the new integra with more power, then people are gonna wish they waited.
Or they see the new 2024 Mustang Dark Horse in person, and then wish they had waited.
The type s is gonna be sweet! That is a car worth waiting for too depending on your taste in design and driving dynamics.

Just put my deposit down yesterday for mine.. just so you know estimated pricing with the mark up was 5k down 61k due at pick up... but I'll be the first in my area with one. Either sonic grey or championship white idk what color is showing up.

Yeah most are charging 10k-20k but you can find some that are not. It will take a lot of time and persistence.

Yo! Thanh is for watching. 😎That gap is not permanent. The suspension has a block between the coils do it doesn’t get damaged during transport. It doesn’t have that much wheel gap. Lol

I saw a black, blue, and a gray at three different dealers. From those three colors, the black looks phenomenal.

Has anyone been able to find one under 10k over msrp? So anything under 53,900? So far that’s the lowest I was able to find in the U.S
10k is the lowest I’ve found so far. I’m gonna try to share contacts in the future

The space between the fender and the tire seems large, the car needs to be lowered 3 cm.
That is not the real wheel gap. The cars come with suspension blocks during transport. The car sits much lower. 😎

It's been years since Honda made a nice looking car. All of their cars are generic looking and forgettable. If you want a cool looking car that has power and performance you need to get a muscle car. Leave these toys to the teenagers who have no taste.

Hate me but I like this more than the fk8. It's a car I can see me and my wife owning. Love the Gundam fake vents look of the previous gen but I am now in my 30s. Haha.

That’s a great question. The biggest upgrade that most people aren’t talking about is the new interior on the 11th gen civic. It is much more of a classic and refined design that will make your experience better outside of the driving dynamics. The interior in the new civic is a place you’ll still love in 10 years. That last gen was very outdated. I guess I’ll put it this way, when I’m 40 I can picture myself still enjoying everything about the FL5, but I’d probably miss a bit of the uniqueness of the FK8’s exterior. If I’d get an FK8 today, I’d pick up a 2020 or 2021. If you’re looking for more of a long-term choice then the FL5 is a great place. Go drive the current 2022 civic hatchback and you’ll be able to have a solid sense of why this 11th gen has been refined in so many ways outside of performance.
@@DekiaryCarter nicely put. I love the rear of the FL5 and the front of the FK8. Obviously interior in FL5 is a step up... but trying to justify that extra £10-£15k for a bit better interior and 10bhp extra is hard

True. 90's and early 2000's Hondas are way better than this crap. These cars are hideous and will not age well. This is the very definition of "over designed". Looks like it was designed by a 20 year old using cheap after market parts.

S2000 is so overrated. I owned 2 of them brand new back in the day, was it a fun and entertaining car? Absolutely, especially at $32k brand new. Just like so many cars people look back at it like it was way better than it actually was. Not trying to convince the fanboys just stating a fact.

Agreed, it has grown up in a nice way. I do love the front end and side profile of the FK8 but the fl5 is clean! It will age well - especially the interior. That was always the downside of the FK8. The interior looked pretty dated after a year.

I don't doubt that the these cars are well designed and fun to drive. But damn, these cars are ugly. They will not age well. The pinnacle of Japanese car designs was in the late 80's to early 90's. Honda should have at least made these cars be 2 door vehicles.
Like the FK8, and others Honda's, I'm sure the looks will grow on most people lol
