I got married on almost no money - skip the open bar - potluck for food. You'd be amazed who all turns up to support you when you ask for help, not money. We had a lovely wedding at the church I grew up in. Those who couldn't cope with no booze got drunk in the parking lot in their cars. A friend made us brisket - we toasted with root beer floats. You don't need much to make it memorable and fun. Her dad almost didn't come, but had sense knocked into him by others, and showed up anyway.
Isn't it funny that everybody thinks their taste buds are right and that's how all food should be.. 😂😂😂.. maybe one day people will realize just like us.. our taste buds are all different..

He lived in Camti LA north of Natchitoches which is the oldest city in LA, so I've read.
