Thank you for the showcase! Off the cuff, Lorerim looks quite balanced compared to some Requiem versions I've played - taking out a dragon priest, and later a dragon with orcish gear would not have been as straightforward (or even possible) in those versions. I'm glad for that - I love Requiem but build variety suffers in consequence, and Lorerim seems to have gotten the difficulty right.

I killed the dragon priest with no companions at level 9 on my nord 2-handed build. I have no prior experience with requiem or other hardcore modpacks. If you use what the game gives you any fight is possible with the lethality changes. This kind of artificial difficulty is really quite hilarious. People go to Skyrim for immersion, and like any other immersive experience such as a novel or a movie, maintaining immersion requires a suspension of disbelief from the viewer. This fully armored character took over 1/3 his entire health in one hit from a wolf, and it was just comical. That does the opposite of suspending disbelief, its pretty hard to appreciate a sense of danger when you're laughing too hard to play. Modders and even many developers have fallen into this bizarre place where, despite the readily available facts about armors of the medieval era, they insist on demonstrating their laziness by just throwing together a terrible homebrew version 'realism' based on ignorance. With just a little more consideration for the boundary of believability (ie: realism), this genre of challenge-gaming could attract a lot more players and contributors. However, if the intention is to maintain the smallest possible community of participants, then definitely keep doing what you're doing.

thats a problem with Skyrim's story progression, a Dragon Priest is basically a lich variant that should not a first boss at all and it only works becuase of level scaling

Shiiiiiiii. Bro I needed a video like this hahah
Your videos are great bro
@ yo I really appreciate that 🍻
I know it's a huge doubt and most likely won't happen but please tell me this mod will be coming to console since i don't have a PC and i would love to play Skyrim with this new style of fighting and role playing
No, if you want to actually mod games you need to build a pc
@@dominiquesmith6745 ya I don't know how to do that lmfao, I'd rather just buy a gaming PC
@@paytonedwards7066 lol its seriously easy and theres so many guides on youtube itll take you 30 minutes but if you are going pre built buy a good brand or youll end up with cheap parts that wont last lol
@@paytonedwards7066 "building" a pc is way easier than it sounds, and honestly pretty fun. Do some research and give it a try. You'd save money over buying a prebuilt as well.
@@paytonedwards7066none of us were born knowing how. Do some research and build a better rig than you could buy in the store for 1/2 the price.
Is there a level cap or a skill cap like or a perk cap?
Edit: In the video he shows that skill level caps at 100.
The battle against the dragon priest in the first mainline quest is not fun. Why would the first boss be this strong? I really didn't like that.
When you've played the main quest a thousand times, something like this can be a welcome challenge and a change of routine.
thats a problem with Skyrim's story progression, a Dragon Priest is basically a lich variant that should not a first boss at all and it only works becuase of level scaling
I have absolutely 0 interest in smite but so far I'm loving this channel lol
Does it work with Geforce Now? Anyone knows?
does it have to be third person? not a fan of third person RPG if i have the choice.
Edit: i need some “Rice Mout Button” merch
