It's All Gone A Bit Willy Wonkaloids | Chocolate Factory Simulator (Steampunk Game - Prologue)

Chocolate Factory Simulator puts us in charge of, yes you guessed it, our very own chocolate factory! However this is no ordinary chocolate factory, this is a chocolate factory set in a steampunk world!
All of our deliveries are made by gigantic airships, all of our devices are steam powered and we even have a little steampunk robot friend to help us! Well, sort of help us, a little.
We begin by taking a tour of the factory and because it's me playing we get very distracted by all the things. Carpets, ledges, views, walls, pretty much anything distracts me but we soon get back on track and we get to the serious business of making chocolate!
We begin with just making some simple dark chocolate, which requires us to measure out ingredients, mix them at the right temperature, and then put them into a sort of mould type thing. We then get to box them up in a box that we design!
We then get slightly different chocolate orders, such as milk chocolate or one with nuts in, and the characters placing the orders are interesting, particularly the giant hamster...

Recruit the your very own automaton!
Juggling every order and whim of your customers would be a tough task on your own. That’s why you have Nougat! Nougat is your very own personal chocolate-making automaton. Give him tasks, modify him upgrade his capabilities and you will have the best chocolatier’s assistant that you could ever ask for!

I quite literally just added the prologue to my wishlist! Steampunk and chocolate, sold. Yes, please.
Had to laugh, though. The OH&S issue was the first thing I saw on the balcony, too. 😅
Seems quite fiddly and micromanagey.... just how I like 'em. Might pick this one up, if only because I want to finish railing that balcony. ;)

Cupboard Creations is good, but I would have went with Cupboard Confections if I were you. Still, very groovy and I dig the logo.
It's gonna be tough when September gets here. I won't be able to drop everything and try a fun Penge diversion, I'll be playing the new Dead Rising! Dead Rising is my favorite game ever made, so I'm really happy to have a new one on the horizon.

I think there's a very good reason why that hamster is called, 'Squeaker', what with eating all that chocolate. 😁

Today I learned that British folks say nougat differently.

I do address this toward the end of the video. I think the Brits go for a more French 'Noo-gahh' pronunciation whereas the Americans tend to say 'Noo-gutt'. Not quite sure what the rest of the world says!

They also tend to an an "er" sound to words that don't have one. Like Wonka becomes "Wonker".

I'm sure we'll revisit this game when it's more complete. I don't think hamsters should eat chocolate though. I suppose our friend Squeaker is okay, but don't do that in real life. Theobromine toxicity could cause harmlike it does with other animals like dogs and cats.
