What Maria Ressa has been saying since 2016 is not being echoed by Western journalist.
Regarding this interview, this is the least of my favourite. Its typical Filipino interview. Instead of concentrating about her craft, which is journalism, or the reason why she won the Nobel prize, which is about social media's free speach stifling free speech, Karen Davila concentrated on her personal life.
I have nothing against this type of interviews, like I said it's a Filipino kind of journalism. It's INTRUSIVE!
We should let a person tell her personal story through a memoir. Not through a talk show masked as journalism.
